This is a typical Sheraton as far as prices, friendliness, amenities, and cleanliness are concerned. However, being right there in station square was great! If you stay here there's plenty to do without having to get into a car. The room had a good view of the river and the city. There was no microwave but there was a mini fridge.

Station square is both a tourist destination and a night life-restaurant district. Right on the River...Great amenities, especially the pool and gym. On site Coffee shop, bar and restaurant....all better than average. Rooms are good and roomy, but otherwise typical for a city hotel. Lots of eateries, bars and attractions walkable. Take the incline for an ice cream shop at the top. Have lunch on the riverside veranda where you have your choice of places. Our group preferred Hard Rock to Bar Lou... Read more

Our stay was OK but I could not recommend this location. Check in is at 3pm. No room available so they said they would call when one became available. At 4pm there was still no call so asked I asked again and received a room. Not sure why they did not call if a room was ready. Used the fitness room while waiting for a room which was dirty with outdated treadmills. After we got the room, it was very nice with a great view. The Sheraton at Station Square is surrounded by restaurants, bars and things to do. The price was higher than I like to pay but you are paying for the location. Nice standard hotel. Rooms were clean and a decent bar in the lobby. I only gave it three stars for several reasons. There were no wash clothes when we checked in and the tissue container was empty. I know, not a big deal but for the price, this should have not been an issue at all. Also there was trash in the hall that was still there t... Read more

We checked in for a 3 day weekend with family booking 6 rooms. Our check in early was smooth, but when both, my brother & his wife & grandchild, and my sister, husband & 2 young children arrived at 4:15, they were told there were no rooms ready. After a day of traveling with young kids this was not good. Our 6th floor water front view room was nicely laid out with along entrance hall from the door, which created good privacy from the hall and made the room feel larger. I also liked having 2 sink... I had a fine stay. The room was nice, the bed was comfortable and the staff were friendly. The issue I have is the train that goes right by the hotel. The side I was on looked right down at the train tracks and when that train rolled by, you could certainly hear it. I'm guessing if I was on another side of the hotel, it would be better. I'd go back here, but next time I would ask for a different room.

I booked this room on a whim for myself and my friends/family when I discovered that Dave Chappelle was doing a gig in Munhall. Even though it was last minute, the Sheraton was fantastically accommodating. There was an issue with the HVAC unit in one of my rooms and, when I brought that information to the attention of the staff, they immediately scheduled me an upgraded room and did everything they could to make me happy. I didn't expect much from this hotel going in and it honestly blew me away... Read more

This Sheraton sets the high mark for what I look for in a hotel. The location was excellent, right on the river, walking path, lots of food choices and easy walk to downtown. The facilities are clean with an excellent fitness center and pool. Saving the best for last, the STAFF make this hotel!! Requested an early (noon) check in, as an SPG Preferred member. Booked for a wedding, needed to get freshened up and dressed before the service. Arrived at 12:30, told it would be a little while and while they'd try to accommodate our request, they couldn't guarantee anything before 3pm. Great location. Room was clean. Nice view of the river. Ladies at the front desk were very helpful and courteous. Happy with the free shuttle service that took us directly to the hockey game. As mentioned by some, there is a train that passes by but the sound from it was never an issue. In terms of parking I recommend the lot that is a little further west as it is cheaper than the designated hotel lot. Would stay again.

The reason we chose this hotel was due to location. When we arrived we were told we had a king size bed, then we got our room key and took the elevator up to the 14th floor. Not a problem, however, when we got to the 14th floor our key didn't work, we understand people make mistakes! When we went back downstairs to report the problem, there were no apologies for the inconvenience at all!!! We then proceeded to our room to get ready for dinner, there was very poor water pressure! Great location on the river close to everything. Would definitely stay here again. Cool lobby with view of the city. Club level makes the hotel above average. Nice pool and fitness center, room service was just ok. My only complaint would be the parking it's funky. You pay to leave and no valet. Could be so much easier.

It's best feature is that it is within walking distance of the Station Square where you can enjoy great food, entertainment, and the riverfront. Badly in need of renovation. Decor stuck in the 1980s. All that is needed is a cassette tape player in the room to complete the experience. They tried to put me in a room that reeked of tobacco. This is my second stay at this hotel. Both times I've been lucky enough to win this hotel on a Priceline bid. The hotel is large and beautiful, located convenient to all downtown attractions and all Union Square attractions and restaurants. Parking is located across the street in a garage for about $21 and Wi-Fi is available. Check in was very pleasant but upon entering our room it was HOT like seriously the thermostat read 91 degrees! We called back to the front desk and they told me they were... Read more

The buffet breakfast is very good and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. I have stayed in many hotels and this is definitely a favorite.

The location of the hotel is great because I can just walk over the bridge and get to downtown to visit a few places. Hotel shuttle service is great and it will take you and pick you up within the distance of a few miles. Walking to South Side for meals is a piece of cake. The room is nice and common areas on the ground floor are good for chit chats. We spend time at the in-house restaurant at night for desserts, chicken wings, and coffee and the price is very reasonable. The only thing I do not... Read more

Went to a Steelers pre-season game and stayed at the Sheraton in Station Square. Great location and easily able to get to Heinz Field using the boat shuttle. A few restaurants nearby and the club access was convenient as we were travelling with kids. Rated the hotel 3/5 because it wasn't as clean as I would expect for a Sheraton. One of the two bed spreads had black stains on it and the top of the toilet was dirty. It was a turn off.

The location was perfect for a family wedding reception that we were attending at the hotel. The bar service was excellent as was their food. The service in the restaurant was also very good, but the breakfast buffet was just OK. The wedding rate that we were charged was fine, but was considerably higher than what others paid that had booked online. The air conditioning unit in our room appeared to be outdated and was very noisy, making it difficult to sleep both nights. We also had to park ou... Read more

I have just spent eight nights at the Sheraton, my initial impression was that maybe the guest room floors (3 - 15) looked a liitle tired and when the door was opened to the room there was a stale smell as though an attempt had been made to cover up a previous smoker. However I either got accustomed to it or else it faded away as after a couple of hours I couldn't smell anything. I was fortunate to have a suite on the Club level and the service provided by Dee Dee every morning was incredible as... Read more

Amazing experience at this hotel. I called in advance because I thought there was an error with my bill. There was not, and they were friendly and helpful over the phone in explaining that to me. When we arrived, they upgraded our room to a king room from two doubles for free and they validated our parking for both days. I broke my selfie stick (don't laugh) and when I asked for scotch tape at the front desk they went out of their way to get me electrical tape instead. They also gave me a hair ... Read more

My husband and I stayed 1 night at this Sheraton for a wedding. We requested an early check in and were pleasantly surprised that our room was ready by 8am! Check in (as well as check out) was fast and efficient. Our room was a good size with a great view, but the bed and pillows were the best!! I stay here when I visit clients in the area - there are closer hotels, but I have to stay loyal to Starwood! I like that it is on the south side of the river, as that makes my drive in the morning very easy without having to traverse through the city and over a bridge. The Hotel for me was great. The lack of detail at our AEFFA conference was my concern. We ran out of water in our meeting room two days in a row.
