Phyllis was very accomadating, the room was very clean, comfortable bed, excellent television reception. The sheets are clean, bed good for my back back. The AC was relatively quiet. It is close to good places to eat. Since noone has gotten a raise in 20 years room are the same as 20 years ago. Check those deals online. The internet speed should be 20 megs, but every motel is only 1-5 meg/bits. Phyllis should get a raise, they work hard there and get paid poorly I think, $15-$20/hr should be... Read more

Came to Pittsburgh for granddaughter's graduation. Check-in was quick and staff was pleasant and polite. Saturday evening, I stopped at front desk to make arrangements for shuttle service to the airport. It was, also, a pleasant experience. On Sunday morning, Ava was at front desk for check-out. She was friendly, polite and professional. Ava made the wait for the shuttle relaxing. Upon returning home, I realized that something had been left behind. I called Red Roof Inn and spoke to Phyllis. I picked the Red Roof Plus for its proximity to the airport and downtown Pittsburgh without having a car. Worked out perfectly, hotel nice and staff attentive and my room a King spacious clean with fast wifi (118) Courtesy shuffle from the airport picked me up and the hotel is a block from the bus stop for the airport flyer 28X which runs to the airport in one direction and to downtown in the other. (Fare to downtown $3.75) hotel adjacent to fast food options as well as the excellent Central Din... Read more

Check in was slow and as a redicard member I was not offered the complimentary water at check in. Our room was basic and clean. We like red roof because they are pet friendly and we can bring our dog. No breakfast offered.

This place was great from check in to check out. I only slept here while attending a game but was impressed with how helpful the staff were. I even got a call within 10 minutes of getting to my room to make sure everything was ok. I stayed at the same chain in another city on the same trip and this location blew them out of the water.

This is the most negative review I‚??ve ever written. My husband booked the Red Roof Inn‚?¶ I don‚??t know why‚?¶. He had stayed here 2 years ago after it had been freshly renovated and had a positive experience. We arrived around 10:30 and checked in with no problem. When we arrived in the room, he pulled back the sheets and found greasy stains and hair on them. The sheets may have been washed or may not have been washed, pictures will be uploaded. We‚??ll give them the benefit and say they ... Read more

basic room that was clean, safe, smelled clean (no pet odors). The staff were very friendly and efficient. Hotel was quiet and I felt very safe. 2 story with stairs and elevator. FYI they add a charge for the in-room safe but they will remove it if you ask during check out.

The place was nice.. The people at the desk was lukewarm.. I did not feel welcome. Spending too much time on the phone. I want to ask a few things but long line behind me. HOWEVER, the location was good. It is near I-376. Plaza and the mall are nearby. In the morning, McDonald was "next door" and that is where I had breakfast.. Would I come back here? I am not sure.

My wife and I had stayed here before it became a plus location and were not excited. This time was very pleasant from the beginning. Arrival was quick and courteous with regards to check-in. Room was on the lower level as requested and was very clean. Bed was extremely comfortable. Parking was convenient as being just next to the room. Very quiet area with lots of restaurants and other things to do nearby. Quick and courteous check-out. Will definitely return to this location because of the impr... Read more

Great location to breakfast restaurants. Poor service cleaning the room and NO toilet paper. After three nights I think we deserved another roll! Checked out and went to another hotel. Because of the Oakmont golf tournament Red Roof was the only place available at a reasonable price. If we see Red Roof...we will run the otherway!!!

Our stop here was very pleasant. The staff was helpful and friendly, the bathroom was very clean, and our experience was great. This loction was very conveninet to driving downtown and to the interstate to be able to drive north and south. I would definitely stay here again.

The location was very convenient to the highway and looks nice from the outside. It's once you step inside that gives this hotel a one star. The room needs a through cleaning, not just the surface. When I pulled the shower curtain the tub had soap scum build up and the toilet base and back had dirt and hair. Once I took my shoes off my socks stuck to the wood floor. The bed sheets had old stains as well as the pillows themselves had sweat stains but the pillowcases covering the sweat stains were... Read more

If I could, I would give them 10 stars!! Starting with Bill, the night clerk who straightened out my reservation. It was after 400AM, when I checked in. Very nice room, better then I expected. The next morning, some idiot pulled the fire alarm. Everyone worked to handle the false alarm asap! Both Mike in Maintenance & Cindy in Housekeeping were extremely helpful! April who was assigned my room, gave me extra time to make up for the disturbance. On the whole, this was my best expereince w... Read more

Me and my family were in town for the weekend and to catch a Pirates game. Hotel in great location for food and shopping of any kind. There is a mall less than 5 minutes away as many many restaurants and fast food options. Only about 15-20 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh depending on traffic so not far from things downtown if we're in town for that reason. Rooms were clean roomy enough for my family of 5.

After my lengthy stay at the Red Roof Inn I could NOT find a better place to stay other then home! The rooms are unbelievably clean and comfortable thanks to Cindy & the rest of the maids! Cindy has helped me with SO many things during my stay that I cannot even thank her enough. Mike the maintence man helped me with quite a few things immediately and with no problems! The front desk was VERY helpful and understanding, you CANNOT & WILL NOT find a staff like this anywhere else!! Other all... Read more

Front desk service was slow on both check in and out but we got the last room so I felt grateful regardless. Room was clean, no frills. Dead spider in the shower but that was the only gross thing. There's a diner and a McDonalds right next door. I wouldn't recommend for longer than a weekend. You can hear your next door neighbors talking and stuff though so if you're a light sleeper bring ear plugs.

We chose this hotel for our overnight stay because of the rating from past reviews. Unfortunately, I cannot concur with the satisfactory reviews. I was disappointed as soon as we drove into the lot. But let me begin with the positives; 1) Great free Wi-Fi, 2) located near shopping mall, strip mall and restaurants. (As a matter of fact, the Central Grill on the same property offers a discount for Red Roof customers. We ate breakfast there and the prices are reasonable and the portions are h... Read more

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. I found the room quite impressive for what I paid (85$ canadian). It was very spacious and clean. From the outside the hotel do not look that fine but the rooms are surprising. It is located about 10 miles from downtown Pittsburgh and cost 4 times less than the downtown hotels rooms! I recommanded it. It was also very quiet at night, I slept well.

Quiet, but far from clean. Floors feel sticky, and I cleaned my own bathroom. No tip for Amber. Hair and food on the floor-gross! 209 characters minimum-not much to say-very basic: no fridge/microwave, no frills. Somewhat modern, smoke free, but you can tell it wasn't smoke free.

The outside looks a bit shabby (needs painting) but our room as clean. The doorjamb is banged up where careless guests have hit it with their luggage. Other than that room condition was fine. At the cost of the room, one expects cleanliness, a place to put luggage, and clothing. This room meets those criteria. It was also fairly quiet. It's about a 2-minute walk to Central Diner & Grille. There are no tissues so you have to use toilet paper. No microwave nor refrigerator in the room.

The hotel looks rather beat-up from the outside, but the rooms are great. The staff is friendly, and check-in/out is fast. The rooms have some minor cosmetic issues (my last one had a screwed up showerhead), not enough to complain about for the price ($65ish). I usually spring for the larger work area since I'm working from the road and want to unwind and watch a little telly. Wifi is fast, TV is good. I prefer the ground floor rooms because the hallway upstairs always seems pretty loud, plus i... Read more

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the worlds rudest woman. She told us we were early and we needed to go away until check in. When I asked what the best time to come back would be, she told us "how about check in time". Trying to be polite, I asked if it would be better if we came back perhaps after 6pm if they were really busy. Her response "whatever". When we did come back that woman was replaced by another clerk who had no idea where she was let alone how to check someone in. After 20 minutes ... Read more

Many Red Roof Inns are simply average. This particular hotel is clean, from the grounds, parking lot, lobby, and most importantly - the room. I liked the proximity of the hotel to many restaurants, gas stations, strip malls - all within walking distance. Actually located in Robinson Township, the area is approximately 10 miles west of downtown Pittsburgh. Among the better Red Roof Inns.

When we arrived, we proceeded to check in with two women at the front desk. Neither was particularly friendly...it was as if we were putting them out by wanting to check in. We were told that our room was 100% smoke free and there would be a large fine if we smoked in the room. We do NOT smoke at all. We headed up the stairs (no elevator), lugging our heavy bags to our smoke-free room. When we opened the door, we were bowled over by the cigarette stench. Immediately, we headed back down th... This hotel has a great location and great front desk agents, so what's lacking? Housekeeping and maintenance. A stained bedspread, dirty desk chair, and hairs in the tub, sink, and on the back of the toilet made it hard to truly feel comfortable in the room. It makes you wonder...if housekeeping didn't bother cleaning the things you can see, did they clean the things you can't see? And while everything in the room was functional, the deferred maintenance items in the room just sort of scream... Read more

Usually I look for quiet, comfortable, clean (and clean-smelling) rooms, and this one met the criteria satisfactorily. It was rated better than some other hotels in the area, had easy access to the interstate, and my room was very quiet and secluded from motor or people traffic. No breakfast but ok otherwise. I'm not sure why this particular RR has a plus designation, but I did a phone booking and received a price substantially below the listing on their marquis.
