Our room was very clean, nicely appointed and you can't beat the hotel location to downtown attractions. The only thing I found a bit lacking was the breakfast buffet - needs another staffer or two during the peak times to pick up after the guests, especially around the self-serve food areas. I will be returning here for my next trip to Pittsburgh.

This is right by PNC Park and also convenient to several restaurants. You can walk to Heinz Field from here too. Room was clean and comfortable. It was also quiet which is pretty amazing because the interstate is right beside the hotel.

We went to a Pirates game and this hotel is right beside the park but wasn't too expensive either. Onsite parking is $21 per day which wasn't too bad considering the other options around. Quiet room which is amazing since the interstate is right beside the hotel. Very clean and comfortable room.

Perfect location to stay for either Heinz Field or PNC Park. Staff was friendly and helpful. WiFi is terrible in the guest rooms; maybe it is better near the lobby. Several good restaurants are near by.

I had a free night with Hyatt that was about to expire so we decided to stay local and used it for a quick overnight for our anniversary. We arrived at the property a little before 3pm and were greeted with long lines at check-in. By long lines I mean, the line was nearly out the door. Only one staff member was working the front desk initially, so the lines moved at a snailâ??s pace. About 10 minutes into my wait a second staff member appeared and the line started to move a little faster, bu... Read more

We went to Pittsburgh for a quick get-away, casino trip. I was able to find this hotel at the last minute. It is in a great location - close to everything we wanted to see and do. There was initially a misunderstanding about the type of room I had requested, and the staff resolved it immediately to my satisfaction. The room was clean and spacious. The beds were very comfortable. The shuttle travels until 10:30 pm to local areas, and the driver was very gracious. Breakfast was delicious,alt... Read more

Can't beat the location of this hotel if attending an event on the North Shore. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Nice clean rooms and hot breakfast available in lobby. Parking is convenient but costs 22.00 which is pretty standard for the area. Will stay again.

My son surprised me in December with the best birthday/Christmas gift ever, tickets to see the Denver Broncos and Pittsburgh Steelers play in December. My son & I are huge Peyton Manning fans and he bought the tickets in July, before Peyton got hurt. We stayed the weekend at Hyatt Place. Clean, comfy rooms, a nice large cozy corner sofa with sleeper, coffee maker and mini fridge in room, and a small but nice little Bistro and bar area in the lobby. Steps away from PNC Park in downtown Pittsburgh. The hotel is also within walking distance of restaurants and Heinz Field. Friendly staff, Clean, large rooms, good views. The hotel staff seems a little overwhelmed at times especially when busy so be patient if you have a request. I would stay here again if attending a sporting event in Pittsburgh!

We stayed three nights for the US Open. The hotel handled the extra crowd with ease. The breakfast buffet was fresh and hot and good coffee and juice bar. Metro close by with free ride and one stop to downtown Pitt. So close to PNC Field, you could crawl there. Heinz Field is almost as close. Walking distance to Andy Warhol Museum. A green friendly hotel, so prefers to do room cleaning every 3 days, unless a guest prefers a bed change everyday. Towels are gladly exchanged daily, if need be... Read more

I've stayed at this property numerous times over the years, however this was by far the worst EVER! Upon check-in I was not greeted appropriately as the agent was slumped over the desk-uttered very few words which were NOT clear and I couldn't understand he-failed to recognize my diamond status and provide an amenity. Location is the reason we stayed here. Rooms are definitely showing wear and tear. Couch in room reminded me of a dorm room/first apartment. Could have been cleaner. No maid service on Saturday July 2nd, I had to track down the 2 gentlemen handling the 6th floor and get clean towels. The 2 gentlemen at check-in were friendly but not very professional. It was a great stay but the Hyatt Place website reservation system ruined my experience. When I made a change to my reservation, the rate was a much lower, than the one I first set. It was a lesson in printing out and bringing a copy of the info with you! Situated between Heinz Field and PNC Park you can't ask for a better location for a aspiring event. Both places are only a few minutes walk. It was a breeze to check-in but a bit too fast because the gentlemen did not tell me anything about the hotel. On 7/11 I spoke to the Front Desk and the gentlemen confirmed he had the package, I then had to speak to an (assistant?) manager - she told me they would expedite the return of the package. 10 days later and no package. Staff was great however felt the check in area, bar and breakfast area were understaffed. Felt like no one was keeping an eye on the offerings at breakfast as we had to ask that items be replenished. I was in PIT for 2 nights to catch a Pirates game and take a tour of Heinz field. Hotel location is probably the best for this itinerary. 2-3 minute walk to each. Free hotel shuttle takes you to downtown and to market square in 5 minutes. Free breakfast was solid. Rooms are spacious but nothing special. I've seen nicer rooms at other Hyatt Place properties. I highly recommend this hotel for sports trips and proximity to downtown Pittsburgh.

Loved, loved, loved the location of the hotel. Right next to PNC park, a short walk to Heinz Field, pretty much right on the river walk. Lots of fun things to do closeby. The hotel itself is nice, nothing fancy. It is clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The morning breakfast was pretty good and it was always maintained...dining spots were plentiful. Enjoyed our stay a lot. 22 dollars to park in a gated lot.

Conveniently located on Pittsburgh's trendy North Shore this is a new 3 star hotel. In all respects the room was typical Hyatt Place - good size, nice couch area, good bed, functioning bathroom (no bath only shower) and big flat screen TV.
