This hotel is close to PNC Park and Heinz Field. It is also right near the Strip District. Centrally located and within walking distance to various fun things to do in Pittsburgh. And it is only hotel in downtown Pittsburgh with free parking. How great is that!

Wanted a weekend "away from it all" and chose Pittsburgh. This was an excellent hotel. I had a great room, spacious, quiet, very clean. Good view of the river. Excellent location...I walked to all the sports parks, along the river trail, to a great restaurant. The Heinz Museum is across the street, as is a stop on the on-off bus tour. And they have free parking! Go there, park your car, and enjoy the city. And the breakfast is very good. Staff was very helpful and offered good tips

We decided to head to Pittsburgh for a long family weekend with the kids and chose the Hampton. Our room was one of the studio suites, was well kept, and had more than enough room for our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids). It had a pull-out couch and a small kitchnette with microwave and dorm sized fridge. Our room, 401, was located at the end of the hall and was very quiet with little outside noise. There is self parking on the property that is free and located to the rear of the building. Th... Read more

Hotel is the only one in the area that offers free parking. Conveniently located three blocks from the Altar Bar venue which was the reason for choosing the hotel. The breakfast was also a plus to start a early day of traveling. Great experience overall!

The Hampton Inn was one of the finest places we ever stayed at. Rooms were large and most important, very clean. The location is perfect. Within walking distance of most places. Short walk to the Strip, PNC Field and Downtown. Parking was included. The complimentary breakfast was awesome. The Staff was super friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed our stay at theHampton Inn.

The hotel wasn't full so we were upgraded to a suite on the eight floor. This hotel is a little walk from the city center, but it has free parking, free wifi, and a great free breakfast. We came to town to watch a sporting event and they had walking directions printed out for visitors. The staff was very friendly and our room was super clean. The breakfast had a good selection of hot foods and fresh fruit. The beds, sheets, and pillows were super comfortable. We would stay here again

This is the second time I've stayed at this Hampton and I really enjoy this property. The rooms are large, clean, comfortable and newly appointed. Breakfast is adequate and the staff is always very helpful and pleasant. It's within walking distance to the convention center and it is the only hotel in the area with free self parking. I'll stay here again when in The Strip or even in the Pittsburgh area in general.

This hotel is amazing. The close proximity to downtown, walking distance to the sports stadiums, view of the river, all a plus. What set this hotel apart was the staff. Everyone there was so helpful and friendly, always asking everyone how they were and if they enjoyed their day. I was impressed with Maria and Ben at the front desk especially, telling myself and others different places to eat and things to do. Come here if you're staying in Pittsburgh

The Hampton Inn is a great hotel -- we were greeted by very friendly staff who checked us in quickly and gave us some information since it was our first time in Pittsburgh. The hotel room was cute and quaint -- just what we needed. It would have been nice to have a refrigerator for our leftovers though, as well as a safe for our personal belongings. The hotel is close to Penn Ave which is nice but it is an area off to the side a little. But other than that's it a great place to stay!

Hotel staff is always very friendly at this hotel. Free breakfast is very good. Location is great, with free parking. Pool is clean. However, having stayed at this hotel a number of times over the years I've really begun to notice that the rooms are getting tired and in need of an update. The free breakfast was good, although I never understand why they use powdered eggs(!). I did enjoy oatmeal and fresh fruit. We would be happy to stay there again.

Everything with this hotel was great. We were in town for a baseball game and the staff allowed us to park in the parking lot for the game even after we checked out. The rooms were large and clean and breakfast was good as always. We would definitely stay here again.

Our stay was good. Beds were very comfortable and we had a nice view of the river. Staff was not attentive to our request, we needed a bulb changed in the bathroom night light for our toddler. They said they'd be right up to our room but never came. Other than that the pool was enjoyed by our girls and the complimentary breakfast was good, it had a large variety of foods.

Always stay here, easy Uner into Lawrenceville, walk to places in the Strip and walk to Consol Energy Ctr. Staff is great, free parking with easy access to come and go with car. Across street from Heinz Museum(Smithsonian), great 4 star restaurant, Eleven, and Lidia's. Can't say enough about this location!

I had an overnight stay while on my way to Michigan. I wish I had a couple of days to spend. The location was ideal, right on the River, across from the Sports Museum. The hotel was close to all kinds of dining options, bars and other kinds of night life. The River walk way was gorgeous and I am really sorry that I did not have the time the next day to take what I know would have been a very pleasant stroll.

Great hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Stayed for 3 nights with complimentary breakfasts which was excellent each morning! Some guests stayed at the "other" hotel and preferred the pool & whirlpool here, plus the option of free breakfast. The only drawback is the lack of refrigerator in room.

Stayed at hotel for 2 nights. Chelsey at check-in was fantastic! Gave us walking directions to ballpark and arena. Also had good info on attractions, shopping, and eating! She even gave us a coupon book which we used quite a bit. BIG benefit of this hotel is Free Parking! Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return to this hotel! Great staff!

a great location between the strip and downtown. A good walk in any direction, We enjoyed the walk through historical strip district with unique food an shopping experience and down town was just around the corner. We also loved the fact that the pool and hot tub were open to midnight especially after a long drive in from Myrtle Beach

We stayed here one night passing through Pittsburgh. It is not right in the heart of downtown so if you're looking for that, this is not it. There are restaurants within walking distance but it is several blocks away. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was very friendly and offered all kind of options to us for eating and sightseeing. The continental breakfast was decent. Typical continental breakfast in my opinion.

Came to Pittsburgh for a Steelers game. The staff was always very helpful and very nice. Two individuals were Del and Taylor. They were very personable. They helped us with directions, snacks were sincerely interested in our story. Whatever you are doing to make your staff so friendly, keep it up. It is greatly appreciated

You want a hotel downtown, it's a nice place to stay. The rooms are clean with standard furniture, free Wi-Fi, like in any other Hampton Inn. A good point to mention : the give you access to a free parking! My only regret was the breakfast, quite simple and so so.

The hotel was easy to get to, allowed us to park our car and walk to destinations the whole weekend and met our every expectation. Taylor at the front desk was most helpful from the time we called prior to arriving, to giving us directions and helpful hints while exploring Pittsburgh. He made sure we had the information that we needed. We were there for a baseball game at PNC Park and walking to the stadium was so easy!

Check in was fine, front desk person was very nice. Free parking (but check-in first, you need a room key to open the gate). Not optimal local location, but in the scheme of things, walkable to a lot of downtown and the strip. Large room, high ceilings, seemed like sound insulation was good. No microwave, fridge, or safe. Breakfast was typical Hampton fare with sausage, eggs, oatmeal, waffle machine. Not to concentrate on the negative, because this is a good hotel overall, but these are th... Read more

Bed was uncomfortable, but the service was fabulous. We were helped to order pizza to have it delivered to our room and the desk clerks could not do enough for us. I would stay again just because of the friendly folks at work in this hotel! Standard rooms, nothing special, but roomy and just what we needed.

Friday night we ate at Lydia's. A fine Italian restaurant less than two blocks away. Excellent meals for all of us. Hampton Inns are generally consistent, offering good quality, mid-range accommodations, but our room in this hotel felt a little more upscale. It was a large suite with a sweeping view of the downtown area including some of the bridges. The front desk staff were very helpful and our room was spotlessly clean. Parking is complimentary, abundant and hassle-free. The hotel seems to cater to sports fans, but this should not deter anyone from staying here.

We stayed here 2 years ago when in town to celebrate and everything was great so decided to go back. Everything was great again except we had a major noise issue. After 11pm at night we arrived back to our room to hear loud bass music called front desk and was told a local club is aloud to have roof top party till 7am nothing could be done. Really that is not ok and we should have been told about this before we came.

My husband and I came to Pittsburgh recently for a wedding and were overwhelmed by the awesomeness! We randomly booked this hotel online and it is in an amazing location. You are close to all of the markets, great food and shopping. The place shuts down at like 8 so went out on Carson Street. Service was great at the hotel as well.

I arrived to the hotel early in the day but my room was not ready. Beverly was extremely helpful and pleasant. She offered to store my bags and made recommendations on where I could spend my time while waiting for the room. When I came back to the hotel my room was ready and keys were already made. It was a very speedy check in. All of the staff seem to have great interaction with all of the guests.

However, the hotel served its purpose and offered a clean room with good service.
