The most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. The rooms are showing wear and tear and need some fixing. The bar never has enough bartenders on duty. All of the staff are always very friendly and helpful.

This is a great renovated property located very near downtown. It is much cheaper than the downtown hotels and has plenty of free parking. They have a business center and free newspapers. The shuttle to and from the airport was amazing. The staff was nice but on the last day the clerk at the front desk was confused by our two seperate rooms on one reservation number. I wish I had asked for a manager. I called several times before we arrived to ensure no problems with the somewhat confusing... Read more

Entire hotel was very nice. Extremely clean and well kept. The bathrooms could use a little updating though. Some moldy spots on tiles and just look a little worn. Still very clean and comfortable. The restaurant downstairs is great and a nice place to relax.

The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. We were there on a family trip and we needed to drive to get to where we wanted to go. This location is better if you are there on business. It is not a great location for family trips but it didn't take too long to get to where we wanted to go. I would probably stay there again. Food was expensive at the hotel for family.

We are frequent travelers and the only reason this hotel was not rated excellent was because of initial difficulties at check-in. This was a family trip to celebrate a graduation and we had booked two rooms and requested suites if they became available. The first front desk agent we dealt with may have been new and needed more training. This agent told us multiple stories and had us moving between floors and rooms twice because she was obviously unfamiliar with availability and room layouts. ... Read more

We stayed 3 nights in the Doubletree in Greentree and it was better than expected. Free parking, nice indoor/outdoor pool, and quiet rooms. I liked that the towers are not too high so you don't have to wait long for the elevator. We booked a breakfast package with our room and it was well worth it. The food was better than the normal hotel breakfast bar - even a chef making omelets. We were also happy for table service and thank Mary M for taking such great care of us each morning. We liked... Nice hotel. A little pricey. Hallways are not air conditioned on the room floors and it is very uncomfortable. Had an issue with people partying after midnight outside my room in the hall. Called the front desk and complained and it was corrected immediately. Friendly staff. We had a hospitality room for our convention and the gentleman that was taking care of the room for us was "MELVIN". He was the best. Super nice guy and could not have done anything more for us.

Nothing really good or bad to say. Stayed for just one night. Hotel was as expected: nothing better - nothing worth. Seems to be prefered for weddings. They had 3 of them on that particular Saturday night. I did not try the restaurant for dinner or breakfast; so no opinion on that. Location is ideal if you have to fly out the next day or if you continue north on 79!

This is a very nice Double Tree. It is 10 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh and the price is right. Who wants to pay $200-$300, to stay downtown. It is a Large hotel that is spread out. It has a nice lobby and wonderful lounge area, with two giant TV's. It is a great place to relax, have a drink, watch the game, and have a bite to eat. Stayed here for one night for a wedding in town and was not disappointed. The beds are spacious and comfortable, as are the pillows. Room was clean. Bathroom was tight, not, much room to move around. Great hotel with very nice and helpful employees. Rooms were very clean with no issues at all and they give you warm cookies at check-in. Cleaning staff does a good job and the front desk people are always willing to help. The pool area is also clean with both an indoor and outdoor pool. There is also a handicap lift for the pool. For business, you can't top the Hilton Hotel chain. This hotel is located perfectly in downtown Pittsburgh, only blocks from great restaurants and most of the major downtown businesses. The hotel is in good condition and spotlessly clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. Not a resort hotel to take you spouse--but a perfect business hotel with a business center where everything works!

Stayed at this hotel while visiting University of Pittsburgh. This Hilton brand hotel was only about 10 minutes from the University and was considerably cheaper than other Hilton hotels in the city of Pittsburgh. The hotel building/set up is very odd. The entrance/driveway was almost hidden. I parked in what I later learned was an "upper" lot and entered the building on the fifth floor. I entered the elevator and saw that it accessed only three floors - something like 7, 5 and the lobby. I then ... Read more

Older hotel with rooms that need to be addressed. The shuttle service is terrible. The airlines have a contract with the hotel and much kf the service is dictated on when they arrive at the airport. You can be taken somewhere cia the shuttle with no guarantee of being pick-up. His was not shared when I called the hotel 3x in advance of my stay to inquire about shuttle service.
