My wife and I stayed here while I was attending a conference in the area. My wife worked remotely via the hotel wifi and found it fully satisfactory. She did complain that the sheets were not fully clean; the hotel left a note card saying they did not wash the sheets every day for 'green' reasons, so I understand, but they could have been cleaner. That aside, the hotel, is clean, centrally located, no noise, no other issues, and boasted an enthusiastic and supportive front desk. Hardly the grande... Read more

I stayed at Wyndham for a conference and was not particularly pleased with the way the hotel handles certain things. The first thing which I was not comfortable with is that if you are playing with a debit card, the hotel creates a hold of almost $200 which remains there for atleast a week or so. This creates problems for international students and tourists. Secondly, the wifi had severe connectivity issues during my stay there. Perhaps, this was a one time issue, but if the hotel wifi is not wo... Read more

The location is reasonably close to the Philadelphia Convention Center (10-15 minute walk) and the room is clean and adequate. Unfortunately, the soundproofing between rooms is so poor that I was wakened every morning by my next-door neighbor's alarm. I could hear his/her television, his/her walking around in the room...even his/her yawning! I am NOT a light sleeper or easily disturbed by noise. Another inconvenience, tolerable although annoying, was the dodgy climate control -- no matter how I ... Read more

The staff at the hotel was excellent - courteous & efficient! The lobby was sleek, modern, and bright. The room hallways were dark, several elevator buttons didn't work, and while clean, the rooms were average and in need of repair. The beds were comfy but the sheet were wrinkled, and the wood molding was peeing in places - esp the bathroom. I expected more from a Wyndham re: room appearance and quality.

Last night I stayed at the Wyndham Historic District and I was pleasantly surprised at find the hotel much improved after rebadging as a Wyndham. The former Holiday Inn property was never one of my favorites, but now I find it much refreshed. The desk and restaurant staff were super friendly and the room was clean and relatively up to date. I really liked the linens and found the room to be very quiet. They have nice smelling bath soaps and the free pod coffee in the room is acceptable. Best of ... Read more

I don't usually write reviews but feel compelled to do so with this visit. I knew from the moment I walked in the door this hotel would disappoint. Lobby is ok, Rooms are dirty and outdated. Front desk staff is very nice and Connie in the restaurant was extremely nice and accommodating. Wish I could say the same about the rude bartender working on the evening of 12/6/16. Connie went above and beyond to rectify the issues and turn my experience in the restaurant around. Unfortunately my room is ... Read more

We stayed for 7 days Thanksgiving week and overall the hotel met our expectations. The thermostat was not working the first night (we checked in late) but was fixed during the next day and worked for rest of stay. Rooms do not come with suitcase stand, but we were offered one if we wanted it. There was no clock in room; front desk confirmed there should be and offered one if we wanted. Phone message light was on second day and we had to try twice to get code to access (no message to retrie... Read more

Hotel had a great location central to lots of things. The rooms could use a little updating. Staff was friendly and made good food recommendations.

Just around the corner from Ben Franklin's Grave and a few blocks to Independence Hall theirs hotel was perfectly located and comfortable. The staff were lovely, friendly and attentive. Room was clean and comfortable. Taxi stands right outside the hotel made for easy getting around and if you are willing to wander a few miles Redding Terminal and South Street are easy to get to. Love this part of Philly and I would Absolutely stay here again!
