The property itself was just ok but the staff made my stay worth it. My sink drained really slow, the food in Coin's Pub sucked, the pool wasn't open even though it was 89 degrees outside but the front desk agent Danielle was very pleasant. She took great care of my family and I.

Rooms were not that spacious but were clean. You have to pay for parking an extra $36 which they do k it tell you up front. . Fitness center was decent but the rooftop pool was closed for some reason. Restaurant was horrible. The bar tender didn't know how to make a Tom Collins which is a basic drink. Food was nothing special and pepper pot soup was disgusting. I had to send it back. Eat somewhere else.

Well, being that I'm blind I needed some assistance in my room and I called the front desk numerous times and no one answered...I managed to eventually figure a few things out, but was so disappointed that I didn't get any help from the front desk! Also, my room was way down the hall from the elevator and there was no brail on the walls / doors for me to feel for my room #, but I managed to make my way!

The Wyndham's location was within 1/2 mile from almost every historic site in Old City. The hotel has a parking garage so you don't have to valet park or find another garage. The public spaces were very nice and the staff was helpful and professional. I did not use the restaurant nor the bar. My room was clean and pleasant. No refrigerator just fyi - apparently you can request one for a fee. I think this is a good property for travelers for the price.

This hotel has a great location. Everything is an easy walk. The housekeeping was prompt and kept the room up every day. The place could use some work here or there, with things like pealing wallpaper, our entry light did not work, etc. but the beds were comfortable, and the room was clean. Our room did not have a refrigerator. The pool is nice, but very popular with the little ones, so we stayed away. This is an all around nice hotel, but I'm not sure its "4 star".

Celebrated my mother's 85th birthday and was greeted with wine and cheese complimentary of the hotel. I would truly recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. We had the "deluxe" room and disappointed with the size of the room and the lack of a safe. There were 2 adults in this room and we had to stand aside to let the other pass. Additionally, there was no safe in the room or frig. Stayed here for a wedding at the Maas House about a mile away. Our room had one Queen bed, one TINY bathroom with dirt in the corners on the floor and gross shower tile. It was 4th of July weekend, so I'm going to assume that's why we paid a whopping $240 for one night. I've stayed in Hawaii for cheaper, in a nicer room that at least had a balcony.

If it weren't for the prime location next to the Constitutional Mall area, our rating would be lower. First, the parking garage is not connected directly to the hotel, which makes access less than convenient. Second, the room is tired and in need of a refresh. The bathroom was not ideal as the toilet seat was loose and slipped left and right. In addition, the shower wall wasn't cleaned well.

The staff were friendly and helpful, but the parking costs were exorbitant. The location was central to most of the historic district, and we understood the premium we were paying. That means that the extremely expensive parking, slightly gross room, dim/dank hallways, and strange rooftop pool were something we could look past. Great location within walking distance to most of the historical attractions. The lobby is gorgeous, but once you get up to the hallways and rooms they appear a little dated. Our room had a musty odor like it used to be an old smoking room possibly? The bathroom was small but updated. Our towel rack was falling out from the wall, which was reported to the front desk. I should not have to put 2 signs on the door handle for you to know someone's still in their room. And I didn't appreciate their sass when they told me I should have 2 signs after admitting they didn't bother looking at the first one. Do your job. Pathetic. Ruined my morning before a long day of travel ahead.

Booked this hotel for our trip to the city to attend a concert. The photos on the website are fairly representative of the hotel, but I was hoping for something a little nicer. The lobby is tasteful and modern. The front desk staff were nice, but extremely busy as there were three weddings being held in the hotel while we were there. The room (822) was clean, but many aspects were outdated. The most concerning thing was that the tub drained so slowly I was ankle deep in water by the end o... Read more

Horrible, absolutely horrible customer service. I was going into labor yesterday (9/12/16) and called this hotel to get in touch with the baby's father, Leonard Terranova, who has been staying there for several days. The first person, a female, transferred my call to his room. He didn't answer so I called the hotel back, immediately. A different female answered and said he wasn't staying there. The only downside to are stay was we drove and had to park are car in the parking garage. They charge 35.00 a day to park. My family stayed at the Wyndham Historic District for one night, during our summer vacation visit to the historic sites of Philly. The location is great - right near Independence Hall and Liberty Bell. Philadelphia is not a particularly attractive city. In fact, it is filthy and dingy overall. The hotel seems to fit in. The rooms were OK. No complaints. The hallways were dark and dingy. On site parking (overnight was approximately $35) was convenient. It served its purpose.

I recommend better oversight/management of the restaurant and bar. The service was slow, the food was average and when I ordered a glass of wine, I received a dirty glass. I guess my expectation was too high, because I'm used to a manager covering the expense for the dirty glass of wine.

We have stayed in hotels all over the world and this Wyndham was, far and away, the dirtiest hotel we have ever stayed in. Too bad because, had it been clean, we would have given it a higher rating because it did have a lot of positive elements including location, decor and amenities. For our entire weekend stay, the public areas were dirty with food, debris and paper all over the floors , the upholstered furniture and the elevators. Our room, 631, was a disaster. Housekeeping had sprayed so... Read more

My Vietnam Combat Unit held it's reunion in Philadelphia and choose The Wyndham as the host. The front desk staff were very helpful as I invited my five daughters and my sister; also, housekeeping was very accommodating.

Stayed here with friends while in town for a conference. It was a short walk to convention center in a safe area of the city. Walkable to many historic sights. Very clean rooms with good service. Would certainly stay here again.

Most outstanding was the courteous treatment from all the staff. Comfortable rooms, great food, and the best location to walk and see the great sites of our nation and to experience the variety of food, drink and people of Philadelphia. Had great service for our Marine reunion lunches and dinners - 3 Star KUDOS. Listed as Family ( Marine Corps Vietnam Reunion ) Semper Fi

Spent three days in Philly for the Presidential election. Location is second to none. Very friendly service and clean, recently updated room (the high-end ergonomic desk chair is nicer than what I have at home!). Very happy with all aspects of the stay. If I had to look for anything on which to nitpick I would say the northern facing room was directly above the dumpsters, which were amazingly loud Monday morning even from the 5th floor. Also, the shower/tub floor could stand a new finish but, ... Read more

Staying for a business conference, so we had classes all day and came to the hotel to crash. The beds were very comfortable and the room was as described. It appears clean for the most part, maybe not the highest quality fixtures, but that's OK. The shower didn't work quite right, still spewing a significant amount of water out the spout, not the shower head, but it didn't bother enough to complain. If you're here on a sight seeing trip, this is a great location! Very close to many landmarks!

Upon entering the lobby it was actually bright and welcoming with tasteful modern design. So it was quite a letdown when we arrived into our hotel room floor and noticed how dark and dated the corridors are - like they didn't even make an effort. The room was ok but you can see how dated the furniture are and you can see the wear and tear of the fixtures. Still, it is centrally located and literally a block away from the liberty bell and benjamine franklin's graveyard. There's also a self-servr ... Read more

Overall we and our guest had a great experience. Beginning with Shawnee and Terrie who helped get enough rooms for our guests and planning a wonderful morning after breakfast. All of the staff was pleasant and helpful especially Thomas. Thomas is a true asset the this hotel. I would recommend staying at this hotel to all of my friends and family.

I stayed at the Wyndham last week. This was a business trip, but was also to sneak some time of site-seeing in. The hotel is conveniently located in the historical section of town and within short walking distance of the U.S. Mint, Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and so many other places. When you walk into the Lobby you're amazed at how large the hotel is. The service was good and quite helpful too. The room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom had all the amenities I desired (shower cap, c... Read more

The front office staff, especially the most cordial and helpful Asia, could not be bettered, one of the best reasons for returning. They helped greatly on several occasions. The location is perfect for anyone wishing to visit the historic sites, and there are many, in old city Philadelphia.

We stayed here during the Thanksgiving holiday, 3 nights. The hotel is in a great location for walking to most of the sites in Philadelphia. We only used the car for heading to the Philadelphia Museum of Art and Rocky steps. We stayed in a king room on the 7th floor. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean, except for the grout in the bathroom which had mold. The housekeeping did a good job. Unfortunately, it was loud. Heard neighbors with ease and the ac/heat unit was so loud we'd have to... Read more

It was satisfactory, nothing special but nothing terrible either. Nothing about the hotel stood out to make it memorable. The room was fine and it was clean. Would I stay there again? Sure. It's in a good location.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Wyndham Hotel. The room was clean and cozy. I had a wonderful night's sleep. The staff, from the front desk to the restaurant, were amazingly pleasant and helpful. I especially appreciate the assistance Danielle provided as my friends and I checked in. She was very kind and made us all feel welcomed.
