The staff was very welcoming. Room was spacious. Gym was large with pulley weight machines and free weights and ample space. Did not use their restaruant but hotel is physically connected ti the university Barnes and Nobles, where you can grab a Starbucks and hang around.

I just had a quick visit to Philadelphia to attend a graduation. We had an outstanding experience from the moment we entered the hotel. Every hotel staff member we encountered was friendly and professional. I'd like to recognize Ron at the front desk, who displayed infinite patience with our slightly complicated reservation. He was incredibly customer focused, and went above and beyond with customer service. I would definitely look forward to staying here again!

Our son is in law school directly across the street from this hotel so it could be more convenient for events there or anywhere at most of the huge universities in Philadelphia. On site parking and a decent restaurant make this the trifecta for convenience. Both times we scored a suite at the end of the hall. Wonderful to have a separate sitting area for family hang out time, a fridge and microwave for in room dining on left overs and extremely quiet for excellent sleeping. Not huge fan of Phila... This is the 7th year that our crew team (75 rowers and 140 parents) has stayed at the Sheraton University City for the Stotesbury Regatta. We could not be happier with the service and professionalism we received both in booking the stay and with the catering services we used. This is the first year that we hosted a team dinner at the hotel (as opposed to outside restaurants in the past) and we had a really great experience. Was just there with a big group for the lacrosse championship weekend. Great location and on site parking was good The elevators were very slow. We had a nice size suite on the 6th floor. Plenty of space and was very clean. Would recommend if you are going to visit UPenn or Drexel University as they are just a block or two away.

Even though it's only an hour drive to Philly, we booked this hotel for the LAX championships held over Memorial Day weekend. The price was very reasonable. I thought the 2 double bed room was very comfortable. We had 6 (2 adults, 2 13 year old the size of adults, and 2 small children! Nice size bathroom as well. It was a very busy weekend and I did not notice much noise on the 15th floor. The pool was open and in impeccable shape. If they ran out of towels, we would use the phone and they ... Read more

The room was nice with the usual services like large TV, wifi, bath, and safe. The hotel has a swimming pool, but this is only open after 8am. So having an early morning swim is not an option. Luckily the modern fitness was open. What I missed was a complementary breakfast. This was only included for "club" members. I think that it should have been included for the price they asked for a single night. I only became aware of this after arrival. The airco in the room was very noisy.

Good hotel, good staff, excellent location, club lounge very good. To go to the next level hotel needs to update its rooms. We stayed 6/24-6/26 while helping our son move to a new apartment. Also, rooms need some soundproofing materiel as you can hear everything. At present a very good hotel and I would stay there again, update the hotel and it would become 5 star.

I was pleased that they had all my information right at hand. They also knew the area, and were able to direct me to several sites I needed to visit. The rooms were nice but not nearly worth the price per night. The hotel is in walking distance of the universities which may be why they are so over priced. No free parking here. The Sheraton U City is an older property that has been buffed up a bit cosmetically but underneath doesn't really come up to snuff. We NEVER got got room keys that worked - three sets - cleaning staff finally let us in. Old school heating and cooling - one speed fan that sounded like the Wright Brother's plane was in your room. Staff were nice, they tried but are working with old systems. VERY handy to UPenn, Enterprise car rental next door. At over $175 I'm not thrilled.

I spent four days at this hotel. Great location in the heart of University City. The elevator and hallways were generally shabby and in dire need of a refresh. Bedding, especially pillows, were very uncomfortable. Room itself was aging fast. The fan ran continuously in the room and was quite loud (required ear plugs). Breakfast room service was served on a plate covered in plastic wrap. Needless to say, the toast was soggy.

This is one pricey hotel with one hallmark, i.e., location. You pay through the nose for being smacked on the edge of the U Penn campus. And even then, the room rate does not include breakfast. So, I guess if you are like me, a parent of a U Penn student during term starting, you have little choice (unless you drive) but to pay for the convenience.
