I went to this hotel as it was provided by my employer for a conference. I shared a room with one of my coworkers. I thought the room was very nice. It's a little on the small side, but to me, that is to be expected in a hotel downtown. I would have preferred double sinks in the bathroom, but otherwise I have no complaints. It was clean and appeared well maintained. The room was pretty quiet too. You'll hear a tiny bit of outside traffic noise, but it is not disruptive. There is a bar onsite, bu... Read more

We were in town for a UPENN graduation so the hotel prices in the area were definitely marked up for that time. The outside appearance of this hotel really needs some renovating as other travelers have said. Every time our cab or Uber brought us back to the hotel it always felt like we were going down a dark alley to get to the entrance. Rooms were just "ok". Our first room had a HUGE cockroach lurking around on the floor under the bathroom sink and paint and wallpaper was coming off of the wall... Read more

It's a big city hotel, which is getting some needed upgrades. It is clean, the beds are AMAZING, and the hotel itself is well made, so little to no noise from the halls. Bar was nice, staff was incredible. Greg at the Bellstand in particular stands out. We had two kids waiting for a ride for two hours in the lobby, and he couldn't do enough for them. He was a gem. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay.

After reading some negative reviews, I was wary. But this is a very good "big city" hotel with reasonable rates, and it is close to everything, including the top museums. The staff was friendly, efficient, and helpful.

I usually stay at the Windsor Suites in Philly, however we decided to give Sheraton a chance because of the review and location. We were disappointed. The gentleman at the front desk who check us in wasn't friendly. Our room was clean, but the toilet seat was broken and our bed was improperly mad up. No refrigerator nor a safe in the room. Our room was next door to the staff room and the door made so much noise and they go in and out throughout our stay. On the positive note the lobby of is gor... Read more

I visited this hotel as part of a group activity. I had hoped to be in-and-out, picking up some materials, but the materials weren't ready (not the Sheraton's fault). While there (3-6PM), I saw groups of people (hundreds) sitting on the floor all over, waiting for their rooms. 'rooms not released by housekeeping yet' was the answer whenever someone inquired. Then people would wander to the WaWa or Subway, down a couple of blocks, because they couldn't afford the bar food, or there wasn't much r... Read more

I am here for a convention and I have to say that my experience so at this hotel has negatively impacted my enjoyment of the conference. The hallways are so dirty and the same room service tray has been in the hall for 24 hours along with a random glass that has been in the hall for over two days. The beds are so lumpy that when I came back to my room I wasn't even sure housekeeping made the beds. I have stayed here several times for conferences, and, I have to say, for $129 a night, you can't beat it. The hotel is quite large, has its own gift shop, and a huge staff. In fact, the staff is the best part. After three stays, they have always been helpful, including things like advising me on the most economical way to get to the airport. I had an important package shipped in, and it was waiting for me when I got there. The restaurant is mediocre, but passable. The breakfast buffet is typ... Read more

I stayed at this Hotel the night before my wedding in order to do things the "old fashioned" way, and I'm sure glad I did. From entrance to exit was great and one of the better stays I had overnight in the city. Upon entering you're immersed in a spacious yet lively area complete with an open restaurant and lounge area. The lobby and bar/breakfast areas are nice and bright and modern looking. Upstairs for the rooms is a different story with gloomy corridors, stained carpets and tired furnishings. The rooms are generally clean and the bed comfortable, but the overall atmosphere is a bit depressing. Hopefully the hotel has plans to renovate the bedroom floors in the near future. Service and food offering is fine, bar staff in particular give great service

My recent experience at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown was very bad. As a frequent business traveler, I see many different properties in many different locations. This hotel ranks as one of the worse I have been in. Here are a list of issues I experienced. 1) The parking garage is a mess. Litter and standing water everywhere. 2) The hallways and rooms are worn and in need of a makeover. 3) My room was not properly cleaned. Stayed for 4 nights in a room with a carpet that looked like I was at a crime scene. Stains everywhere, large wrinkles in the carpet that you could trip over. Furniture had seen better days. Beds were fairly comfortable, though. Asked to be moved and tried 3 rooms on the "renovated" floors and one room smelled moldy/woodsy and there was trash on the floor, the next room's bathroom had another, different, bad odor; and, the last room was wonderful, except the AC unit in the wall was noisy and... I am a rewards member of the SPG group, and have stayed at many Sheraton hotels for business travel. I would say that my experiences for the most part have always been good. Unfortunately, this one was not. I was in town for a large pharmaceutical industry event in June 2016. The hotel has a large lobby that is very nice and roomy and has an easily accessible bar.
