Wow what a beautiful property. We showed up a little early so our room was not quite ready. Amanda explained to us she would call us as soon as it was ready, so we decided to eat in their restaurant. Well they had a huge frat group in house that took over their lobby and restaurant. The staff seemed really busy, which we did not mind as we understood there was a lot going on. The manager on the floor seemed to be a little stressed by the look on her face. I asked the server to grab her, as I men... Read more

Close to Center City offices, especially in north Center City. Right off the freeway. Nice view of City Hall. Friendly staff. Complimentary "USA today" newspaper. Comfortable bed. Warm heating. But the AC unit attached to the window was loud when turned on. Parking: park at the Gateway Parking next door, on 16th street. As close at the hotel parking and much cheaper.

We stayed at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown Hotel on New Years Eve 2016. When we arrived at the hotel at 11:00 AM, there was only one person on line in front of us. However, it took 30 minutes before I was able to speak with a receptionist. Their service was inefficient, disorganized, and slow. Although the line continued go grow behind us, the people behind the front desk did not seem pressured or worried about their inefficiency. They even WALKED slowly. There seemed to be NO concern... My wife and I stayed here early October. This place is just another hotel. It has a big lobby with a restaurant, and lots of floors with lots of rooms. There's nothing about this hotel that stood out to us. The room did have a pretty cool view given the fact that we were on the top floor. Nothing to see, but pretty cool to be looking down. The room was clean and got the job done.

Hubby and I trekked up to Philadelphia for New Year's Eve. For the price ($207 a night) I thought these would be great accommodations. I understand the prices were inflated due to the holiday, but this room was unacceptable. We wanted a hotel within walking distance or a quick uber ride to the restaurant where we had reservations. The only good thing about the hotel was its location. Our toilet clogged within an hour of us settling in. We stopped by the front desk on two separate occasions to ha... Read more

I stayed here while attending a 3-day conference. The rooms and hallways are dark and would benefit from an update. The restaurant left a lot to be desired in the "health food " department and the ambience was not inviting. I went out to eat at other restaurants as I did not want to eat at the hotel. The gym was acceptable and front desk was helpful, a was the lady who opened up the cafe early in the morning.

The hotel has a great location, very close to the Logan Circle and the museum quarter. The room was comfortable, except for the bed which was extremely soft with little support - this may suit some people of course. The major drawback with this hotel is that it does not provide free wifi. The wifi is very expensive - nearly $5/hr or $15/day. This is an extortionate charge for what is today an essential service. On this point alone I would not recommend the hotel and I will be unable to stay ther... Read more

My stay at this location is always top-notch and outstanding. It begins with the check-in staffers at the front desk. Ms. Renita greets with a professional, warm, and friendly welcome. She attended to provide me with optimum service. A valuable customer service front desk employee who could not have provided me with any better service. I truly hope her employer recognize her as the gem they have at their front desk. Keep up the great work. "The Counsellor"

I booked a club room in the hotel (and I should add I am top tier in Starwood) unfortunately the room wasn't available when I checked in. The room I got was dirty, broken TV, stained carpet, noisy AC. Calling up guest services it rang-out and was then disconnected. I gave-up. Such a hotel should not be in the Starwood group.

Really nice hotel a short walk from City Hall and Locust / Walnut There were electricity cuts due to works while we were there but they were handled very well and caused minimum disruption, maybe that is the reason the rates were under $150 a night, which is way below the normal asking price. Modern hotel, clean and central. Taxis can take some time to arrive if traffic is heavy
