Spent the weekend in Philadelphia. The Rodeway Inn is so convenient to everywhere. You can walk to City Hall, the Terminal, Independence Square, the Barnes Collection, all the art museums and it is close to all mass transit. No need for a car if you stay here. The hotel itself was really nicely appointed in the rooms. The lobby was pretty spare and I wondered why I saw people hanging out there, but when I saw the room I knew. The decoration is really nice, but the room is only big enough for ... Read more

The front desk staff was really friendly and helpful. The hotel rooms are small but perfect if you're not going to be there a lot. Pretty modern bathroom/bedroom. Our safe didn't work, but that's okay we didn't really need it. We were able to walk to a concert at Union Transfer, the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, City Hall, Terminal Market, shops on Walnut St. & Chestnut St., the Convention Center and much more from the hotel. It's in a great location and we didn't have to drive anywhere. Woul... Read more

I spent three nights at the Rodeway Inn while in town for a conference. The conference was at the Loews, just up the street, and, even though there was a decent conference rate, the Rodeway was $60/night less and was just three blocks away. It was pretty hard to justify spending that extra money, and, after reading the reviews of the Rodeway, I went ahead and booked it. Important things to know about this property: 1. Be aware of what you are booking - if you book a room with a double bed, you... Read more

Positive aspects : nice welcoming staff. Very conveniently located : right in the city center, approx. 15 minutes walk to the Independence mall (just straight away-> impossible to get lost). Several shops, restaurants and bars in the surroundings, the part of the city feels quite "safe". The minuses : I got the only room without bathroom which made my stay rather unconfortable (the bathroom was a little farther in the corridor, not properly cleaned (stained towels and hair in the bath) and extre... We asked 4 separate times and were unable to have a late check out accommodated. I just want to express how vastly disappointed I am with the hospitality at your hotel. Not only were the staff dismissive, they were outright rude. The gentleman working the overnight shift blatantly stated how much he dislikes the guests who stay at the Rodeway.  We are from out of town and expected a friendly atmosphere, or at the very least minimal answers to our simple questions regarding parking and check ou...
