We have been using this hotel for over 10 years when traveling out of Philadelphia airport. Very disappointed that 2 days after our recent stay the Renaisance decided to charge my credit card an additional $50 for parking. When I booked the stay it was suppose to include parking! What bothers me most is that they didn't bother to mention this to me when I checked in, or when I checked out!! Not cool Renaissance, not cool.

I decided to do a road trip with my sweetie and booked this room a few days in advance. The staff was great, and the check-in process was super fast but the rooms left little to be desired. I expected so much more. Very disappointing. I will not be returning.

I'm an unrepentant fan of Marriott, generally, and the Renaissance brand, specifically. the PHL property confirms my ardor. Excellent staff, a stunning atrium lobby with many knooks & crannies for conversation, an attentive Concierge Lounge team (with excellent choices) and large, decent rooms. The beds could use an upgrade, but they're comfortable. Excellent amenities. It's easy to get to from the PHL airport (5 min shuttle or rental) with plenty of parking.

This hotel is very near the airport and caters to flight crews (your crew may be staying here). It is a little far from the city; if you are going into the city much your ride costs may exceed the difference between this and a more expensive hotel in center city. The staff here was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean with a great view of the city (at a distance). I did not use the restaurant or other services, (except the airport suttle).

We live about a half hour away from this hotel ( in the Philly suburbs) and we have used it a few times as a one night getaway from the kids for our anniversary. Our most recent stay was last night We are Marriott members so we use points for the stay. The hotel is very nice with a beautiful lobby area. The rooms are nice and typical of an upscale hotel with good towels and linens and the usual comfortable Marriott bed. The hotel is quiet and it doesn't feel crowded at all, perfect for a romant... Marriott should strip this property of the Renaissance name. Lobby is great but rooms are dingy, outdated, smelly, and flat out disgusting. No garbage cans in the bathroom, hair on the floor, carpet stains everywhere, and dust throughout. Smell of mold was unbearable when I entered the room. Had to shut off the air conditioning my entire stay. Walls seemed paper thin too. Heard the woman next door coughing loudly all night. Sheets had multiple stains and shower towels smelled of old dust. ... Read more

The complimentary transportation had me waiting for over an hour of life an hour I will never get back, snutty front desk attitude doesn't help the situation, don't want to be here. They should sub out there terrible transportation service if they obviously can't handle in house, food is less than desirable and do are the accommodations old and danety. My advise if possible stay elsewhere

The Renaissance on 291 near the airport is a great place to spend a night if you have an early flight the next morning. They have renovated the lobby and the Bar Dorsey's, and are about to start room upgrades. Dorsey's has a nice bar with reasonably priced small plates. Try the Calamari. Next trip avoid early morning stress: Stay by the airport. Cheers!

Just completed a stay at the Renaissance Philadelphia. The hotel is located about 5 minutes from the airport and about 20 minutes from Center City. The front desk staff is quite friendly and helpful. The lobby is the highlight of the hotel. The rooms are a bit dated in terms of decor, but the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The concierge lounge was well stocked and the food was pretty tasty. The shuttle service is available 24 hours. I would recommend this hotel for airport travelers... Read more

I stayed here for work after arriving the philly airport.. The hotel is great customer service as well as there hotel restaurant and for breakfast... the rooms are a tad updated.. but very large and quiet and again great customer service.. My only complaint was I went to use body lotion and found that the bottle was almost empty.. So that was a bit creepy, but all in all good and short distance from flying in to have a quiet night sleep!

This is a nice clean hotel. Super nice people. Excellent service like most Marriotts. The rooms are a bit dated but super clean. The night I stayed the rate was very reasonable. I noticed other nights were a bit expensive but Ill just chose a different place if any Marriott is too high priced. I do recommend this place though.

Stayed here for a night while in town for business. Used the Marriott Mobile check-in which is awesome. Got a room on the top floor, east facing. Could sit there and watch the planes take off. No worries, this place is very good with sounding proofing. Concierge lounge was open at 5:00 so that was a good spot for a quick snack. I have conference calls scheduled the following day and was granted a 1:00 pm check to allow for that. Nice touch, Marriott gets it.

I ended up at the Renaissance at the Philadelphia airport after my flight home was continuously delayed and I decided I'd had enough of sitting around the airport. Granted, Delta chose the hotel as well as paid for it, but I am pleasantly surprised by the quality as well as the amazingly kind and thoughtful staff members. My flight delay came at the end of a long week of visiting various parts of PA to spend time with family and friends, and while a lot of fun, it was exhausting. The last thing ... Read more

We used the Renaissance Philadelphia Airport for a park-and-fly option, and it was a good choice. The hotel is a nice midrange property, although it is in an area without much else around it. That was fine for our needs as we spent the night and left in the morning for the five-minute trip to the airport. We ate at the bar the night before, and the French onion soup and chopped salad were both good options. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and the shuttle was quick and efficient. It leave e... Overall this is a good locaiton if you don't want to be right in the city but in close proximity to Philadelphia. Right near the airport but not noisey. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is time for some cosmetice updates. We are Marriott supporters so expect a certain standard from Marriott properties. Our room needed fresh carpet, bathroom had some patchwork for the wall paper and the door and baseboards needed thorough cleaning. Good and fun decor in the lobby.

I have stayed here several times. Little off the grid and not the closest airport hotel but I stay for the Renaissance brand. Staff is tremendous especially the girl at the concierge lounge. Property is getting a little dated. I was once given a room where the door would not close. Such little issues in most rooms. Chaise in the room looked too old, so does the carpet. Lobby is very nice. But rest of the hotel probably needs an upgrade. I do love the swimming pool! The glass atrium makes it wo... Read more

Not my favorite stay....the hotel that picked us up had no air conditioning in the hotel van and the driver refused to open up the windows. We had to pop the back windows open to get a breeze going. Unacceptable! My room had old carpet that had several large stains on it. Both the sink and tub drains didn't work well so water was clogged. The walls are a little thin as I could hear talking on both sides of the walls. Beds were ok and size of room was nice. Short stay so I didn't get to try out ... Read more

I'm a fan of the brand and this property has a stunning lobby space. The rooms are a bit tired & the inattentive treatment by the Concierge Lounge associate was disappointing. It was closed one morning for maintenance so we were directed to the restaurant. Okay. That happens. But what hasn't happened was after telling the server we were redirected from the lounge, we were delivered a bill for our modest breakfast. The following day, the lounge was back open for breakfast but had no coffee. A r... Read more

The hotel looks great, lobby is updated, the check in staff in welcoming and nice. Now here is the list of complaints. If you don't park in the front, you have to park in the back and walk all the way to the front, because there's no other access, if you forgot something, most hotels have a snack/convenience shop...nope! They've got a soda vending machine. Now on to the dirty room. I notice that the lotion was half used, walls are dirty. Not too bad, the next day we asked the maid to replace the... Read more

I used to stay at this property all the time years ago when on business in Philadelphia. They recently renovated the lobby and atrium which are beautifully done. The rooms are how I remember them from 10 years ago, but the carpets are just more faded. Even the suites have not been updated. Great location though near the airport with shuttle service. The concierge lounge was closed when we were there so we had breakfast in the restaurant which had great selections. They have a nice pool with... Read more

First off, each associate I encountered was great. The bartender on Saturday and Sunday were very engaging and hospitable. The hotel itself...ehh...Would not stay again. I noticed a very strong air freshener smell when I entered my room. Didn't think much of it until I turned the unit down. There was visible mold growing on the ac unit vents. I did not want to be sick for the next few days so I cleaned the vents myself. The next morning, I went down to the restaurant for breakfast (Saturda... Read more

This is a beautiful hotel. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. It was also very quiet. The people were very friendly and helpful. We dined in the restaurant and the food was very good. They have a free shuttle to and from the airport. The only downside is they charge $10 a day for WiFi -- who does that in this day and age???

Stayed here before flying out of Philadelphia with two kids and my husband. We were excited upon entering the hotel as the lobby was updated and staff was friendly. When we got to the room we surprised at the fact that the rooms were outdated and did not have a fridge. We travel frequently with our one year old and five year old and having a fridge is a big plus. The room was also not the cleanest and had food on the floor between the the bed and nightstand and dust in places that are usually cl... Read more

After long and hard research for the best budget friendly parking, and within close to proximity to PHL, I decided to book 2 vehicle reservations for this hotel. We drove from Washington DC, to Philly to leave out the country for 2 weeks. Upon arrival the staff greeted us warmly and were happy to assist us with any questions we had. Considering we had booked our parking reservations weeks in advance, they had all the information they needed from us, and gave us indications on where to park. The... Read more
