The lobby was a mess and more importantly my room was not cleaned properly and the bathroom was disgusting. The TV was also very outdated and had poor picture quality. The front desk staff was very pleasant which is the only reason I gave it 2 stars.

We stayed there for one night after going to a concert in Philly. The outside is deceptive. We were put in a smoking room, which I didn't know existed anymore I thought all hotels were nonsmoking. The room was outdated and rundown with cigarette burn everywhere. The toilet felt like it was not bolted securely to the floor and the bathroom door would not stay shut. However it did appear that they where in the process of renovating. The price was ok as was the location. If I stayed there ag... Read more

We stayed here just one night so my son could tour a college the next day. Not a great location, you have to drive into the college area and the area with the tourist historical sites and try to find parking. The hotel is in desperate need of work. Walls, floors, fixtures. The breakfast selections were not good, so I attempted to take my family out for breakfast but the hotel is not nearby any restaurants, so we had to drive about 7 miles. I would not stay here again. I was met by reservation desk with a very friendly woman! She was able to let us check in early, made us feel so happy! Had a problem in room with Television, no problem there, because a very sweet maintenance man came to our rescue! He checked with the desk, and no problem, we moved to another room! The room itself was good size, clean and smelled great!

I've stayed at other Microtel Inns where the room amenities were more up to date. My room had older furniture and the bed mattress showed an obvious sag in the middle. The TV was old style (not flat screen) bolted above a high cabinet and fixed facing one direction. Remote control only gave station ID-no program information or program guide to what shows were available. Breakfast was disappointing - no waffles, yogurt or fruit like other locations. Hotel location was very convenient to airport a... Read more

If the staff hadn't been so friendly, I would probably rated this property as more poor than average. The property is definitely showing some wear and tear. Our room had water stains on the ceiling and the bathroom door frame was in need of some attention as well as the grout on the tile floor. During their remodel, it appear they were really cutting cost on the breakfast as there were no waffles or yogurt or even hard boiled eggs as Microtel properties typically offer. Our "newly remodelled" room smelled of paint and chemicals. Remodeling job was very poorly done. Very humid/damp in tge room. Bathroom was infested with ants when we woke up. TV channel guide nowhere near correct. Breakfast is subpar. Check in desk person in the evening, shirt with Microtel logo was pretty dirty and wrinkled. It is very convenient to the airport and they offer shuttle service.

I stayed previously at the Microtel in Ridley Park which is an almost new property so it was admittedly my point of reference. The outside of the hotel is nicely landscaped and looks inviting enough. Friends had stayed at the Microtel in Ridley Park, a few miles away, and raved about it. We made the grave mistake in thinking this one would meet the standards of the other. Wrong! It was something left over from 1970. Terrible decor, no insulation between rooms. We checked in and were given a renovated room. It looked nice, but still smelled musty. Further, the remote did not work, and the tv was snowy. No help for that. The clincher was when the wifi went out...the front desk gave me the number for the internet provider and told me to call them, and gave me the hotel address. I hate to deal with cable at home, I surely will not do so at a motel.

First, this place is being renovated. Second, it still needs an intense cleaning. Third, I think the only people who work here are all family except the female day shift clerk. Fourth, the owners sit out front on a bench all day. Fifth, the airport van sits out front all day and hinders people who need to be let out under the canopy. Sixth, breakfast is minuscule. Seventh, no other food nearby except Ruby Tuesday 8th, this is an OK stay for a day or two, but no more than that
