From the minute I arrived I felt cared for. They called my room a few minutes after I went up to make sure everything was in good shape. I never heard a noise from other guests. My room was always perfectly cleaned/turned down. It couldn't have been better. My walk to the convention center everyday was enjoyable and took me right past the beautiful City Hall building. So worth it, would stay there over and over.

I had plans to travel to Philadelphia for my first time for my birthday. I picked this hotel after an agonizingly long list of "matched" options meeting my demands were found. I sought the following: luxury, romance, city views, within the city center. The Palomar did NOT disappoint! Staff was friendly, helpful and quick to acknowledge guests and honor requests. The room was tidy, and the bathroom larger than expected. We were on the 23rd floor and the view was spectacular! I also loved the mode... Read more

I returned a year later and the Palomar did not disappoint. The rooms were clean and well appointed. There is a free wine happy hour. However, what makes this a great hotel is the staff. Literally everyone I encountered could not have been friendlier and wearing a welcoming smile. The staff remembered me from my last stay or at least did enough research to make it genuine. A level of service that was appreciated. I was there for two nights and my room was expertly cleaned after the first night.... Read more

Kimpton's Hotel Palomar in Philadelphia is a perfect location for your Philadelphia adventures--whether business or pleasure. The hotel is located in a wonderfully preserved historic building steps from Rittenhouse Square, City Hall and the Academy of Music, plus so much more. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the rooms are comfortable, modern and clean with all of the standard thoughtful Kimpton amenities. And the food! We enjoyed our stay. The hotel staff is great in customer service, the room was clean and spacious, and some healthy snacks in the mini bar. My only complaint is that we were assigned to one of the disabled rooms. The beds are on platforms that have corners that are sharp and hard. Both my husband and I banged our shins. We left with black and blue marks. To avoid further injuries, we put a book and pillow on the corners of the bed. I do not know if the platforms on the are a standard for... Read more

The Kimpton hotel chain is our favorite hotel chain by far. The staff are always very accommodating. Stayed there overnight to attend concert in Camden. Very nice place. Clean. Comfortable. Unfortunately, we asked that the hotel book us a car for the return trip from Camden. The hotel booked us a car; they booked it for the wrong night. Alas, we were stuck in Camden with no Uber service available at the time and the local taxi places not answering calls. This is my second review for the Palomar but I felt the need to re-review after another flawless stay. I was nervous - as a number of other Kimpton properties have gone downhill since the IHG takeover. I'm happy to see that this place has been relatively unaffected by their corporate overlords. We booked through Hotwire, which was unusual for Kimpton properties as the lowest price is usually offered on their website to Kimpton Reward members.
