Some aspects of this hotel were great whilst others were a let down. The location is great and they run 3 shuttles an hour between the airport and the hotel. The bar is great as is the bar food. The restaurant is expensive. The staff were excellent. The actual beds were a bit of a surprise. We usually expect firm/newish beds from this style of hotel - ours was old and saggy (and we are not big or heavy people). The shower heads are bizarrely half way down the wall - so you have to bend your knee... Read more

You probably won't have a choice because there's nothing around the airport. The worst service ever. I was ignored several times by the bar staff. Bartender was great. Food was very limited. The Caribbean Jerk wings were awesome. I ate there 2 nights previously and I asked for drums only and the 3rd night I was told by waitress that she told the kitchen but they didn't do it. Then she proceeded to bring me a plate of wings with nothing but flats and one drum!

And the shuttle service may be the best thing about this hotel. It's just a few minutes from the airport, not located close to anything else (except other hotels), and let's just say it met my expectations for an airport hotel. No big problems, just uninspiring. The food in the sports bar was surprisingly good. The shuttle runs 24/7, 3x per hour, and at the airport you can catch the regional rail transit to downtown Philly.

The check in was a breeze, but I would recommend more detailed search for a room as mine was on the second floor by ALL the conference room, now since I only stayed a night it was not a bother for me, but more than a night I strongly suggest not the second floor. The valet parking was fabulous, the guy was an extremely nice person made you feel comfortable dropping a car off, not only was very polite and helpful. I would give the hotel another try.

Was at this property for a convention. Found the front desk brusque and not friendly. Needed a box to UPS something back and no boxes at hotel. $20 inc. tip for continental breakfast ridiculous. Airport shuttle not dependable but good guys for drivers. Group food choices OK but quality and prep very poor. Happy hour prices ridiculous. Starbucks person was a morning grouch. Try buying real toilet paper and not tissue wrap - very annoying! Bellman Lady Chevelle was the best part of the whole ... Read more

This Doubletree is conveniently located to the airport and highways. It is a really nice hotel with a great restaurant and bar. We enjoyed the breakfast as well as appetizers in the bar. We were upgraded to a suite which was really nice. The bed was very comfortable! The bathroom was huge! We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel where my husband usually stays when he gets off work was filled. I flew in to bring him his medication. Had to find somewhere to stay quickly. Cost a little more, but was worth it. Would definitely stay here again.

Here for only 2 nights and well pleased by helpful friendly attitude of all staff. Spacious lobby and dining areas but smallish room and would have liked a fridge. Amazing breakfast buffet options and, unless you have a chocolate allergy, what's not to like about those warm cookies?

The hotel is located a short (< 3 miles) distance from the airport. A complimentary shuttle runs every 20 minutes starting at the top of the hour. There is both valet and paid parking self service, $10 per night for the latter. There is a sports bar that serves what seems to be good food, judging from the dish the guy sitting next to me ordered. Limited wine selection. The rooms are nice, bed comfortable, and I did not hear any noise from the airport, which was a nice surprise. Everyone I enco... Read more

We stayed at the Doubletree over the weekend. It was close to family in the Philadelphia area. The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. The room was big and modern. It's probably time to replace the mattress. I would recommend this hotel, and would stay there again.

Stayed 3 nights at this hotel for business. This was my first time at this hotel. Very friendly staff and great service! Hotel rooms seem dated even though the website talks about newly renovated -- maybe I didn't have a new room? Room was fine and seemed clean enough. There was a weird smell as you walked in almost as though something was sprayed to mask a cigarette smell. Walls are thin as you hear when your neighbor is taking a shower! One issue my colleague had was she ordered room se... Read more

I travel frequently around the world quite often. But I do in fact come to Philadelphia often and get to stay at the Double Tree. Its like a home away from home, I come so often. They have a bar/restaurant onsite which is great if you don't have the capability to leave. Serve great food and great bartenders. The staff at the hotel is always friendly and courteous, never met or dealt with someone there that has been rude or disrespectful. When you check in you are greeted by smiling faces that ac... I have stayed at this hotel a few times, usually in transit for a day or two. All of the hotels near PHL are average generally for business travelers, although at this particular hotel there seem to be many conference/event stayers. If there is one thing that stands out about this DT by Hilton property is the staff are all very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are average, comfortable and functional for business travelers. Dirty bathroom and carpets. Staff indifferent and depressed acting. Food in restaurants sub par. Other than being reasonably priced and close to airport, this was a disaster. The fitness room was better than most to be fair. Nothing else met my expectation. Met 3-4 other guests who had same complaints as me.

If you are near the airport, it'll be fine. I wouldn't go out of my way to stay here. It's average. The rooms were dated, but you have to expect that from an airport hotel. There is a restaurant, so that can be a plus to getting a meal prior to a flight.

My family and I stayed here for 3 nights. We wanted adjoining rooms and the manager worked super hard to make sure that we had the rooms we wanted. The rooms were clean and neat. The doorway in between the two rooms showed some paint wear but how often is that an issue? The complimentary wifi was strong enough to stream the Tour de France with no glitches what so ever. The lobby coffee bar served Starbucks and made a nice espresso. We didn't eat at the restaurant or swim in the pool. If you are ... Read more

At what in NYC would be prime time for a jam up. The ride was apiece of cake. Get spot to miss the rush. The hotel is a little older than I normally stay in but was really refurbished nicely. We stayed one night before our early morning flight. We arrived around 8 PM and waited at least 15 minutes before the front desk staff was available to check us in. Left at 6:20 AM and had to wait again to turn in our keys. To top it all off, we paid a little over $12 (discounted AAA rate) to park for the 10 hours. We have stayed here many times in the past, but it might be time to look elsewhere.

It's absolutely typical for a bog standard US hotel. I'm not sure what the question is to be honest. I's it: Was your room a bit like the 1970s with a brown/green carpet and beige walls with 100% more beds than you wanted and a 1960s air coditioning unit then YES it always is

I stayed at this hotel for a week during a recent convention and overall it screams average. The Hotel guest staff seemed very nice, but I was highly disappointed in the bar and restaurant service and quality - especially for the price. I am an HHonors member and have stayed at many Doubletree Hotels. I am sorry to say that this has been my worst Doubletree experience ever. The lobby and conference rooms are very hot. There is a loud screeching noise that comes from my toilet when I flush and from the treadmill I used in the fitness center. Walked in to the room and had a musty smell. I happened to open curtain and found out why. Mold all over the window and the room was filthy. Don't waste your time going to breakfast becasue food was cold and staff was busy talking amongst themselves. Really the single worst place I have stayed. I traveled over 150 days last year and that is saying a lot.
