The location of this hotel is ideal, but it is extremely dated. The restaurant and bar are located all the way on the 10th floor so there is no opportunity to relax in the lobby for drinks. The fitness room only has one elliptical machine and two treadmills and one was broken! The handle on the toilet was broken and the shower head leaked from the wall when you tried to change the type of water output. The location was perfect as it is next to the Reading Terminal Market and right across from t... Read more

This was my third stay in this hotel and unless I don't have another choice, likely my last. The best part of the hotel is that it's right next Reading Market, which is a great place for all kinds of eats. Otherwise, the hotel is exceedingly dated. Our room smelled musty from our arrival but nothing was done. The parking pass worked less often then it did not. Other Hilton Honors members were offered rooms on the 10th floor, we were not. I stayed at this hotel twice the last three months and I always had a great experience. The rooms are big and the 32'' tv is a very nice touch. The desk chair is very ergonomic and you can watch tv or work for hours. Another plus is that there is plenty of space to put your staff as the wardrobe is quite big and the drawers are huge. The beds are new and even though I like a very firm bed they are really comfortable. WiFi is free and works very good no problems there. The staff is very friendly ... Read more

Pros: The room itself was very clean and had everything we needed. The beds were extremely comfortable and I love that they had King size pillows. We slept really well for the most part (other than some noise issues). The bathroom amenities were very nice, Neutrogena. The staff was very friendly and we were able to check in early which was a huge plus after traveling for almost 15 hours. After checkout, we had a few hours to kill before leaving and they were very kind to store our luggage for... Read more

Just spent the weekend in Hilton Garden Inn Philly and this is a nice hotel with great facilities including a pool and gym and is really central and close to tourist attractions such as Liberty Bell, Reading Market with 120 eating outlets and China Town. Really enjoyed the stay and nice breakfast lounge as well.

The hotel is very clean and staff is friendly. The hotel is located in center city but is a bit of a walk to historical philly. We upgraded to a king JR. suite and the room was very large with a pull out couch. We stayed on the 10th floor thinking we would have a view but we could only see the parking garage (which is partially my fault for picking that room online but their online map is difficult to read). The parking garage is $34 a night and they add it to your hotel bill which is convenient... Read more

I have travelled a lot over my 56 years. This hotel had some of the best customer service I have ever seen! The staff was friendly and very quick to respond. I needed extra towels twice, and both times they were at my door in minutes! I needed the shower unstopped and not only did they do it promptly and with a smile, they offered me free breakfast coupons for my trouble! Excellent and refreshing!

Nice hotel with all needed features for a tourist looking to get to know the city. Walking distance from my favorite place after the Liberty Bell, Reading Terminal Market. Also you can walk to the Liberty Bell, it is just a couple of blocks away. Also, City Hall is walking distance, and locate 2 blocks away from the train station.

Kevin and Jon the bellman were amazing and accommodating. If I were to visit again this is the place I will stay! One of the best things is that the pool and hot tub are open until 11PM, this is such a great thing!

Perfectly fine hotel with close proximity to both Chinatown and The Reading Market which was a major plus. For the rate I was very happy although the overnight parking at $35.00 was a bit steep. And the room can use additional products (shampoo, body wash etc) especially if the room is set up (double beds) to imply that there are more than one person in the room. Other than that, I was happy with my experience

I'm not a city gal. I came only for training required, and wasn't looking forward to it. The hotel is nice, but the staff is outstanding! Jonathan, a bell boy, caught me pulling my door closed, He made it a point to tell me to make sure it was latched. Next thing you know, I lost my Discover card. He happened to be walking down the hall and asked me how things were going, and when I told him I'd just lost my card, he held it up and told me it had just been found in the elevator. Phew! Stayed here at least 3 times in the last few years. This was definitely the last time. Stayed on the 8th floor but felt I was at a night club. Loud music and the hallway reeked of Marijuana. Complained to the front desk but I didn't feel they were tentative enough. Not good when your kids ask you what's that funny smell! The hotel is in a good location. The rooms are typical and that is all we required. We slept peacefully through each night. I would agree with other comments that the hotel was conveniently located but is a bit tired and worn. Perhaps the planned updates will bring it back to life more. In all the Hilton was a great find. Parking was great you do pay $38 a night but to be able to leave your car and walk to see phily not bad. The people that work at the Hilton where great. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Jonathan (bellhop) was amazing. We had some trouble with getting the temperature regulated but that seemed to have something to do with the temperature and humidity outside.
