Stayed in May for medical school graduation and very disappointed . First couldn't find reservation, finally given room in disrepair and without "view", finally settled on a nice room..mind you we paid over $300 per night. Next issue attempted to get refund for one night of the stay which we changed with the hotel . We called or stopped by the desk daily and talked to the agent on duty. Location was ideal for our purpose, close to the Cathedral, room was spacious, bathroom was modern and clean. We had 2 issues. One was with the housekeeping. One day Luz cleaned our room and it was perfect! She is truly a gem of a housekeeper! The other housekeepers did not take the time to clean properly. One day we had no toilet paper and had to borrow from another room, then another day we were left with no bath soap, then another day no face towels. The other issue was with our keys which ke... Stayed here for business and thought rooms extremely spacious; bed comfortable, great water pressure. Also nicely located within walking to convention center, restaurants. Parking is valet no self parking ... bit of a cluster getting in and out but survived. They had a pretty good happy hour with snacks but should really start it at 5 pm and have a paying bar open in evenings. Would be nice to sit in lobby and chill instead of leaving to go to hotel across the street. It is attached to TGIF ... Read more

Embassy Suites Hotel is beginning to show it's age. However, front desk staff make up for everything lacking. Professional, friendly staff aim to please. WiFi wasn't working in our room. Front desk staff took our iPad and soon got us on-line. WiFi worked perfectly in lobby area just not in our room for some reason. Location of Embassy Suites is perfect. We had great view. Comfortable room. We were told by front desk staff, the hotel is going to be renovated one floor at a time.

I was happy with my experience at this hotel. The staff was very amiable and ready to help with questions. The room was clean and was very quiet. I enjoyed both the morning breakfast and evening reception. The hotel was convenient to local museums and public transit to travel to other parts of the city.

On the first night of a two night stay and had to write something right away! The front desk, and really all the staff, we interacted with so far have been amazing, so helpful and have made this a really great experience so far. Taffari at the front desk was particularly great. He made sure the kids had their own snack bags, and really made a big deal about their stay at the hotel! Just an excellent job and made it even more fun for them! Room was great as well. Clean and spacious. Will stay aga... Read more

Guest room suites were beautiful and comfortable. All the hotel staff I came in contact with were extremely friendly and helpful. However, at certain times of the day, it is almost impossible to get on an elevator as they are that busy. I know of several guests who walked both up and down 22 floors because they had to be somewhere on time and the elevator never came. Free breakfast is offered and the breakfast once you are able to reach it is good. However, there is no crowd control. Peop... Read more

Everything was great. Only minor complaint was TV waking me up at 2:30 am. If there was a sleep function, I couldn't find it in the remote under and option. The room was huge, staff friendly. Breakfast coffee was disappointing. I suspect the nescafe dispenser gave me instant coffee. It wasn't great. The food was.

This hotel is the best value you will find in Philadelphia. The location was great and within walking distance to many attractions. The free breakfast and free drinks in the evening make this a great value for your money. My only disappointment was that the snacks served during the cocktail hour were very boring and presented in an unappealing manner. But most of us are headed for dinner so we did not bother to eat anything.

Everything was average. Nothing spectacular about the rooms, the service or the food. There was an incident where the electricity went out during the morning when I was trying to get ready. Staff does not seem eager to help, however, that's become acceptable in today's society. Not rude I'm just not exciting to help.

I am very happy to write that I had an exceptional customer experience with a hotel receptionist named Gloria. The reason why the service was exceptional was because I had a problem and I needed another room. First, she listened to my problem and genuinely empathized with my dilemma. She understood my problem and then related my problem to a problem she personally experienced in the past. After she told me her story and it was very similar to mine, I felt that I had someone really working fo... Read more

The kids loved the shape of the hotel...very unique (not your typical Embassy) and the balcony overlooking the city. The beds were comfortable but room a little stuffy hot. Pullout sofa was not very comfortable for the kids. Employees were friendly and helpful and the location is perfect for exploring Philly.

The Embassy Suites prime draw is it's central location. You can walk anywhere from here and if not it is close to public transportation ( a 20 minute walk to 30th Street Station). It is housed in an elegant round apartment building, home to famous people like Wilt Chamberlin, etc. Parking seemed expensive ( $53/night). The rooms were large. Tip: call the front desk ahead of time and ask for a room on a higher floor. It is quieter and the views are excellent.

Third time here. Great location. A little threadbare but still serviceable. Rooms are pizza slice shaped as hotel is an octagon. I'm always suspicious when reviews mention names but Tafferi at the front desk really looked out for us. He suggested itineraries and ideas that we had not considered. There can be a wait for elevators but that was not a problem on this June weekend. The best free breakfast I've had in all my travels. A huge consideration for families.

My room was on the 23rd floor and it literally took 15 minutes to get downstairs during breakfast/check out time. My room rate was $350, which seems very high for this type of experience, even on a busy weekend. Front desk staff was friendly, but clearly overworked.

Easy to get to from train station and easy parking if driving your car. Breakfast at TGIF excellent with anything you might want. Staff helpful and friendly and accommodations large, really clean and comfortable. Near museums, cathedral Nd restaurants... all walking distance. Only negative is Demand movies very pricey

The hotel has a very good location very close to the sights and museums of the city. However it is a bit dated and in need of a face lift, especially the heating/cooling system. It works but is very noisy, even to the point where it can interfere with sleep. I spoke with the staff three times about having someone from maintenance/engineering look at ours to at least be able to control the fan, but to my knowledge no-one ever showed up, or at least nothing ever changed. The rooms are large, b... Read more

Sink leaked, no heat, beat-up furniture, 'free' internet didn't work for our Mac, very bad 'free' breakfast. Nice staff doesn't make up for it. We left the first night of a 4-night stay in the city. The location is convenient to art museums but inconvenient for cabs if they're not lined up behind the hotel (it was raining the night we arrived and there were none) because not near major retail streets. Hilton should invest or take it down.

Came here for a stay and to show a friend of mine the city. The location was perfect, the view from the balcony was beautiful, room was clean and spacious and the staff was so helpful and friendly. We were in walking distance from the art museum and Dilworth park and got to see everything in between. We even walked to the liberty bell and the walk wasn't that bad either. There are tons of really good places to eat. Parking is valet only and a little steep but there are nearby garages. Would defi... Read more

Good breakfast, clean rooms and the service was acceptable. Check you bill and all charges before you leave. Getting any issues resolved after you leave WILL BE an adventure. I've had some issues with being double billed for over night parking and a bag that was left in the room. I'm still trying to get both issues resolved. It's been a challenge to reach a human being, voicemail boxes are full, therefore not accepting messages and emails have been unanswered.

Our go to hotel in Philly when attending Rocky Run, visiting center city, or visiting museums. Can walk to everything, views are amazing, not a bad view from any room. We stay here everytime we visit the Franklin Institute, Art Museum, and attending the Rocky Run.

Took family. Very big rooms. Larger than normal for Embassy Suites. Nice lobby and evening reception area. Close to many attractions. Good free breakfast! Parking high, $25, however, with some Internet research, you can find $10 lots nearby.

I had confirmed my arrival date via fax and email 1 week ago because the original credit card that I had used to reserve the room had been compromised and canceled by my bank. So the hotel emailed me to let me know that I needed to provide a new credit card. I thought this was a nice service that they provided and I happily obliged. I faxed the new info to the hotel and followed up with an email to which I attached the successful fax transmission receipt at Embassy Suites. FAST FORWARD to tonigh... Read more

Don't usually stay at Embassy Suites but this was all that was available. Wow what a surprise. Huge room with separate bedroom. Great view of the park. Quiet. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was free with room and included an omelette station. Definitely will stay here again.

Stayed at this location for three days recently. The hotel could use a little bit of an update when it comes to room decor and fixtures. However, the rooms are extremely spacious and provide great views of the city. A complimentary buffet style breakfast is included daily that runs until 10am. TGIF is attached to hotel making ordering room service a breeze or you can walk down to the restaurant and order yourself. We ordered on numerous occasion and every time food arrived quickly, warm and very... Read more

I recently stayed at this hotel for a conference at the convention center. The location was convenient for walking, even though we were provided shuttle buses. The breakfast was delicious as always and I enjoy the manager's reception. The brands of liquor were limited, but the bartender still made terrific drinks. My only concern was with the room. We had a double suite, and the living room is very big for an older hotel. However, the bedroom was cramped. It seems as if they would move the wall... Read more

The suite was huge and the staff was friendly; however, I cannot get over how dusty and grimy my room was. The outlets in the walls were all loose so my charger would not stay in the sockets. The restaurant where they host the complimentary breakfast gave me an icky feeling, too. You get what you do (and do not) pay for! The free happy hour is nice and the location is decent.

This was my third stay at this hotel for Half marathons over the past year. The first stay was awesome. The staff was overly friendly towards all the runners, they gave us late check outs until 1 pm and they provided light breakfast fare starting at 6 am. The second stay was worse. Making the runners feel as though we were in the way and only gave me a noon late check out. I returned this past weekend for the Philly Marathon and was disgusted was the attitudes behind the counter. First I w... Read more

Embassy Suites is a fantastic place to stay when visiting Philadelphia. This was my first time at this hotel and I am glad I found it. The location and view of the city was fabulous. It is also a fantastic location for running events because it is very close to the start and finish lines.

Stayed here for Philly marathon. Could not beat the location and service. Had balcony view of the race course, was a 1/2 mile from start and hotel had water bottles, fruit and protein and breakfast bars on both Sat and Sun. Rooms with separate bedroom and mini kitchen are fantastic. I didn't hear a single sound outside my room while in my bedroom the entire weekend due to the unique shape of the hotel there is no room on the other side of your bedroom from any room. That is awesome. Breakf... Read more

Friendly, helpful staff. Lots of space, wonderful location. Hotel needs some MAJOR refurbishing: chipped furniture, stained carpets, worn-out upholstery. Big bathroom, but not much held or towel rack space. Very sparsely furnished, but sufficient. Location, beds and room to spread out make it worth coming back to. Generous, free, hot breakfast of wildly varying quality. Kitchen in room has fridge, microwave, but no dishes or flatware or anything else.

We've stayed at Embassy Suites all over. This is the second time in this one. We knew about the parking gouge, but booked anyway, because we liked the chain. Well that habit is over. Time to look around. We're checking out in the morning, one day early. My wife was nice enough to tell them tonight and we were informed about the $75 departure fee. Knowing we might check out early, we booked at a higher 3-day rate, instead of a discounted 4-day rate. But we'd missed the warning about a che... Read more

Stayed here several years ago and hotel has really deteriorated since then. Perhaps the missing sink drains and broken towel hook in the bathroom should have been a clue...so no place to hang towels for three people. No pillows for sleeper couch in living room area (though we had booked a room for three adults). Breakfast area was crowded, dirty and chaotic. Came back to room at 4:30 and still was not cleaned. Asked for service and when came back from dinner, one bed still unmade, room not vacuu... Read more

The hotel is clean and has a very confortable room. The breakfast is inclueded and you can ask for special order. The only problem was that my friend sent me a package and it was delivered one day after I left and they did not find the package and they did not send it back to the sender, even though the post office say it was delivered in the hotel. I send e-mails and I get no answers. I am very upset with this.

I came to Philadelphia for a work trip and we had been booked at the Embassy Suites. My colleagues and I stay regularly at Embassy Suites, so we kind of know what to expect. Here's the breakdown: Location: The location of the hotel is great. You can walk to many of the tourist attractions, restaurants, and other sights from the hotel or it's a $10 or less cab or uber to most other attractions in the city. It can be hard at times to get across Ben Franklin Parkway, but other than that, it's... Read more

The elevator situation was stressful during certain times of the day, leaving us stranded with a double stroller with one year old twins and two luggage carts for almost 30 minutes, but that was really the only negative. I suggest a high floor so you can get on the elevator before it fills up. The valet service was amazing, Zachary was so helpful. The front desk was superb. Hotel location was ideal and we had taxis available right there as well as lots of food within walking distance.

The shower in my suite was completely nonfunctional. The faucet was the first challenge--it turned indefinitely with no indication of water temperature. When I finally found a sweet spot for luke-warm water and pulled to activate the shower-head, nothing but a cold trickle of water came out-not what anyone would expect from the Hilton Family of Hotels. The shower in my sister and brother-in-law's suite was also broken, with the shower head actually tied with twisties to the wall. (we can't mak... Read more
