I have stayed at this property a few times and find it quite good overall. When I went to check in, the room I had selected via the app wasn't ready, so the front desk gave me a drink coupon and told me they would come to get me in about 10 minutes. About 30 minutes after sitting at the bar I went over to the front desk again only to find out the room still wasn't ready( after 4pm now). They gave me another room on the 25th floor. Room was quiet overall. Bed ok but could use some better pillow... Read more

Overall a good experience. A bit south of the city center and the convention center, but less hectic and still accessible to tourist activities. Wonderful greeting by Angela at the front desk, and when the AC thermostat battery died, maintenance tech Andrew promptly fixed it and was both efficient and funny!

This hotel was very nice. Location is prime! Was in town for a weekend conference and wanted something within a 3 miles radius. Nice room, with a fantastic view. There was a Wawa a block away! Ate dinner in the lounge, turkey burger was good. Had my 5 year old son with me and mother. Both were satisfied! We did have an adjoining room, and the people decided to have a party at midnight. I called the front desk as within 2 minutes security was knocking on their door. Great service!

What a great location and staff. My second stay and better than the first. Opt for a double Queen room-very large and comfortable. I had amazing views from the 21st floor Rooms could be updated but beds fantastic and room was spotless . With Hilton Gold status, you get buffet breakfast for free, which is excellent, with great service as well. New fitness room is light and airy and reasonably equipped. In the heart of Philly, the City of Brotherly Love. Can't wait to return.

We stayed here for Penn Relays. It is in a perfect location between the Penn campus and the historical sites. It was very nice and we got a really good deal: Great beds, very well appointed room. This is at the same level as the Sonesta, but about $100 less. The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant was limited, but with such great food in Philly, that was not an issue. We even made a couple of runs to the Wawa a block away for midnight snacks. We go to Philly at least once per year and... Read more

Our family of 4 stayed at this hotel while stopping in Philadelphia during an east coast road trip. I specifically chose this hotel because of its downtown & convenient location, the adjacent parking garage, the pool and the onsite restaurant. We were very happy with the hotel and all its amenities. From check-in to check-out, the staff were super helpful, accommodating and nice. I got a super deal on the rate by using a GroupOn discount. This hotel is located in the center of it all. Once you park your car, you will not need it again. Take a walk down Broad street two blocks and the Capital Grille is a wonderful place to enjoy a romantic dinner or with friends. You are not far from the theaters and if looking for a drink head over to McGillans- the first bar in Philadelphia. The Doubletree hotel was clean and stood up to the standards of Doubletree. I will return again!

My family and I stayed in the executive suite on the 25th floor for one night. We have never stayed here before but picked this hotel because of it's location being that it was close to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. They offered a discounted rate being that we were there for the hospital which was an added bonus. The hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff was very helpful and courteous during our stay. Due to finances, my husband and I very rarely get away. I finally bit the bullet and booked this weekend trip to Philly. Got a great price on the room. The view was spectacular. Only minor complaints; the service at the bar/restaurant downstairs is very slow and I wished it was darker/more intimate (personal preference, not really a complaint); the shower-head sprayed sideways and soaked the bathroom (we told the front desk and they were very apologetic); the hair dryer in the bathroom was d... The two positive parts about the hotel is that it was clean and it is well-located. But I would never stay here again. I could have gotten past the dated and semi-shabby decor, but not the terrible design flaws. The walls are thin and the doors to the rooms have about an inch between the bottom of the door and the floor, so sound and light pours into the room. And the doors, like most hotel doors, slam shut. We needed a nice place to stay with attached dining. Added location and easy parking this fit the bill. I was disappointed that even though I requested a room away from the elevator we were right around the corner from one. The elevator wasn't noisy, but the people were. My other problem was the shower, the handle that controls the h/c was broken. I was already in there when I realized I didn't have much control over the temp. The tub drain also was stuck closed. So it was a lukewarm shower bath... Read more

Superlatives all the way with this hotel experience: swift, easy and friendly check-in experience with the nice touch of a welcoming chocolate-chip cookie, beautiful large room the size of an apartment with two huge twin beds, soft and inviting bedding with Egyptian cotton sheets by my guessing, lots of storage space with a large closet (note wooden hangers not cheap, tacky plastic ones), free room safe and lovely marble lined bathroom. The hotel environs, lobby and corridors, are nice and quiet... Read more

Really enjoyed my stay at the double tree. Very clean and comfortable room. Also offered great views of the city due to the shape of the windows (V - Formation). Will definitely be staying here during my next visit.

My husband and I stay here at least twice per year when we want a night on the town in Philly, and have been doing so for close to ten years. We always are greeted warmly and love the chocolate chip cookies, too! Its location is great and the rooms are always clean.

Difficult to fault this hotel, it is clean, bright and friendly and best of all walking distance to most of the sights. We had a lovely room, a suite almost, which was clean and spacious. We joined Hilton Honours scheme on booking and this seemed to get us free wifi and a room on one of the higher floors without asking. Very nice. Did not use dining or parking, so canā??t comment. There are plenty of places for breakfast around the hotel.

Staying at hotel now. Cleanliness of room is somewhat to be desired. Checked in yesterday late. Went to bed and pulled the covers to find someone's hair and stains! Totally disgusted. Told front desk this morning to get sheets changed and all I got was a shrug and sorry. Also can't look out windows totally filthy and drain did not open this morning when using shower. Next time most likely will stay somewhere else

I reserved, paid for, and received confirmation for a King bed room. Upon arrival at the hotel I was told my confirmation was only a request and no King room was available and blamed the "third party" booking site. If you do not book directly with the hotel, they just blame the third party and there is little chance of redress of your complaint.

The Good - the location is unbeatable; it's in Center City and within walking distance to many shops, eateries, and sights; or quick cab/Uber ride. The staff is impeccable. Everyone from the front desk, the bell captain, the concierge and the restaurant staff was top notch. The OK - the rooms are quite spacious but a bit dated. You could tell that some of the ceilings have had patch jobs; there were cracks in the sink and twice there was hair in my bathtub/toilet after housekeeping had been th... Read more

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this Doubletree by Hilton, right in the heart of it all. Parking was easy and the staff were very welcoming, and we loved our room with lots of windows overlooking all the fun on Broad Street. The location is great, and perfect for evening walks to restaurants and musical events. We had a very good dinner at the Continental, on Market Street, and had a great old time walking along through beautiful city parks on our way there (Washington Square, Independe... Read more

Great location for theatre and restaurants. Room nothing special. Bathroom has no ventilation so everything steams up with moisture in bathroom. Bed is really comfortable. Unfortunately the hotel isnt well sound proof. Big air gap between door and floor and could hear. neighboring doors opening and closing regularly.

I've been staying at this hotel for over 10 years. The location is great and it's an easy jaunt to the gayborhood! However, the hotel is in need of some refreshing to keep up with other Hilton brands. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel to any traveler.

Dirty, not safe, no help with bags, bad to park, management not good. Dnt recommend ever. Sad because location is great but hotel needs help from top to bottom. Hilton penn landing is the best. All day

I'm afraid of bugs as are my kids so that made us uncomfortable. Other than that, the room was decent. The paper trimming the bathroom was peeling/ripped off. Could stand updating. Staff was nice, but our cookies COLD!

This hotel is comfortable and beautifully located. This time I was traveling as a couple but I've also been here with the whole family. Convenient to City Hall, music and theater venues and the historical area.

Had stayed here a few years ago and was impressed with service and cleanliness of rooms. When we pulled in this time 2 hours before check in to try and leave car in parking lot was pleasantly surprised to get checked in and room keys in 10 minutes
