I've stayed here multiple times for work. It used to be a great place to stay with the indoor pool and hot tub. They got rid of the hot tub for some reason. New management is making it more difficult for long term workers. I work at a job for weeks at a time and they really don't seem to appreciate the traveler that is there for a month vs the traveler that is there overnite or the weekend partiers. Having the bar in the hotel is great though. Room service menu goes up and down from my stays. So... Read more

I was very surprised to find a Holiday Inn that ran a restaurant like it was downtown NYC! The food was amazing! OMG I'm still in shock that it was a Holiday Inn Restaurant. I told the Chef that I was on a strict diet and wanted something different and he prepared me the best salad with homemade bread! When you dine there ask for Larry! The rooms were very nice and clean! A hidden gem!

When looking for a family-friendly motel somewhere between Gettysburg and Philadelphia and near Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site, I wasn't expecting much and was very pleasantly surprised to find this Holiday Inn, which exceeded all of our expectations. Reasonably priced, with connecting rooms, a nice pool area, clean, good service -- the Morgantown Holiday Inn was perfectly suited to my family's needs. The only quibble was a long wait for our food at the restaurant, but apparently the ... Read more

Though very reasonably priced, our room was spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed. The hotel lobby was open, airy, and modern, but quite tastefully so. Joanna at the front desk was charming, welcoming, and helpful. Bartender Claudette made a great Long Island Iced Tea (a rare talent). Just one stop among many for two world travelers; this hotel, these people, and this experience stood out. Thank you all.

Older place but recently redone. We had been here a couple years ago and they were not providing hair conditioner in the rooms. Brook checked us in and assured me that the room now has conditioner. She even called us to make sure. Close to turnpike and PA Dutch country. Negatives this trip... The vinyl tub mat in the tub. The hotel is H shaped with the elevators in the middle. A little bit of a hike from where our room was located.

The hotel is easy off the turnpike and us in s decent remote location. The layout is weird with the indoor pool right out in the open lobby area with high ceilings of open space for all 4 floors. Rooms are clean for the most part- if you get s remodeled room. My problem was all about the checkin. When a registered guest is arriving to checkin after midnight - at least acknowledge them while you are helping a noncustomer with directions somewhere. Standing for 8+ minutes while you print and r... Read more

This property is in serious need of repair BUT my room was comfy! Clearly the renovation budget has all gone into soft beds, fuzzy blankets, and fluffy pillows. You can see pieces of the car port roof falling down BUT you will sleep well!

Stayed here on our way home from vacation. Very clean room, and my wife had her best night's sleep on the comfy bed. We especially appreciated the friendly and helpful staff. We would definitely recommend staying here.

It was a quick stop, we all slept well no noise, bed was nice. Layout of the hotel was strange, morning staff was helpful and willing to go out of their way to help. Will stay here again, only complaint was as this was a points stay was not expecting to still pay a deposit seeing as my card information was already on file, but that is more of a igh complaint rather a morgantown complaint.

We've stayed here many times over the years, and we've never been disappointed. The staff is very nice. The lobby and rooms have been nicely renovated. The beds are comfortable, and the fridge is large. There is a coffeemaker in the room, free Wi-Fi, and they even have free coffee in the lobby in the morning. The room was very clean. We stopped in at the bar one night and enjoyed a drink and some food. The margarita and the Caesar salad I had were both large and very good. The hotel is very conv... Read more

First impression with night auditor upon arrival was not good. The parking area was strewn with huge boulders..dangerous! Room was not clean. Restaurant had no entrees..just sandwiches & snacks. Coffee in the AM consisted of one carafe of regular..no decaf..no hot water and it was at the check in/out window..seemed like they were afraid someone might drink too much coffee. Many more issues..not the Holiday Inn we have come to know and love. When I ask to speak to the manager I was told he had w... Read more

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Morgantown for a wedding, and we were part of a large group. Prior to arrival, several of us called to inquire about arriving early-at noon. We were all told that it would be no problem at all. When we arrived, the front desk manager, Monique, told us that she wouldn't allow it until 1. She insisted that there weren't any rooms ready even though the parking lot was nearly empty. She was very rude and condescending, and refused to be of assistance. She was sitting on t... Read more

This is a very unusual property - featuring an indoor pool in the lobby and rooms that have windows which over look this lobby. We stayed for one night in a king executive suite. The room was really spacious (although the bathroom was rather tight), and well -lit, with a comfortable bed and convenient refrigerator/microwave combination. The carpeting is dark and looking a tad worn, and the parking outside areas of the property are not very pleasant (it's surrounded by concrete parking areas an... Read more

On business trip and spent two nights here. Staff was very nice. They will give you suggestions on what to see and where to eat. Our updated room was good size. The freezer was larger than most which was helpful. My suggestion would be the 50s diner about four miles away. You won't find coffee in the lobby but a McDonald's is within walking distance. I would skip the breakfast here and go someplace local. They don't give any coupons or discounts. However, I did not try it, just going by previou... Read more

Pulled in mid-evening from the Turnpike. I called ahead and asked about a room. I was told that if I came in all would be taken care of. I made it clear that I needed a first floor room on the phone. When I approached the desk there was a verbal song and dance by the clerk. Must admit I was not happy with this after the phone assurance. But he was good natured and there was a room that met my needs. In the morning a different clerk was nice. Suggestions. Why put the handicapped space by the... Read more

Had to stay here 1 night and was I surprised! A large atrium connects 2 buildings with a pool and dining in between. Some rooms have a view down into the atrium which is rather cool. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Breakfast was overpriced at $12, but the chef cooks right in front of you and it is a buffet. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The view from the upper floors by the elevators down onto the pool and lobby is great. Recommend staying here if you get the chance

Comfortable hotel located within easy driving distance of Reading and Lancaster. Room was a good size and clean, Bed and pillows were comfortable. The pool is located in the lobby area, which was different. There is a bar and restaurant available to purchase meals. Be sure to head to Shady Maple Smorgasbord for a great meal! Don't forget to grab a shoo fly pie to take home.

Basic Holiday Inn off the turnpike. The hotel is nothing to write home about but you will be pleasantly surprised with your check in experience if you have the gentleman that checked me in. I do not recall his name but he made a long road trip easy. I was frustrated upon my arrival but he resolved all of my concerns. He has a slight accent. Kudos to this employee for professionalism. D

When first stepping into the hotel you are surprised it is quite lovely, We happened to be there on an extremely busy weekend and it was quite loud in the lobby area but once we got to our room we heard nothing the room nice and well appointed. What Hurt this hotel was lack of staff a 20 minute wait to check in at 7 pm on a Saturday. Only one desk clerk

I kept thinking that this hotel used to be something else at one time. The lobby is dark. There is a pool in the center of the lobby, I never saw the pool light on the 4 nights I was there. Don't know whether it was open or not. I asked a staff member and she didnt know either. Staff at desk very nice. I thought that it was odd that when I asked for some pamphlets/brochures of the area they had none. Also the gentleman seemed to know very little about the area. I would have thought since the are... The best, the only thing worth staying. This Hotel needs a do-over badly, the building looks a little tired. Has a huge parking lot peppered with big rock boulders to prevent the Big semis from spending the night. Service is very good, the facilities are clean and well kept. At night our heater roared... not just turned on, but roared. The coffee cups did not have lids.

Proto at the front desk was the best part of my visit to the Holiday Inn. After checking in with Proto I had high expectations of my stay. The hotel is a older hotel that has been somewhat remodeled but not up to my standards. First the pool is literally in the hotel lobby maybe twenty feet from the front desk. The pool was very plan, dark and uninviting. It appears there was a hot tub at one point but it has been filled in. The room itself was spacious and fairly clean with the exception of the...
