Our room was clean and very comfortable. Microwave and mini fridge always a plus. Front desk staff as well as housekeeping were friendly and helpful. Room was on the second floor facing the turnpike, we barely heard any noise from the traffic, nothing that would have kept us awake or awakened us. One note - on this side of the hotel keep the curtains closed tightly it faces east and is very, very bright when the sun comes up. Water and coffee available in the lobby. Breakfast had something for ... Read more

This was the ideal spot to meet for a family visit.....some from New England, some from the south and some locally....as we celebrated our 88 yr old Great Grandma's birthday, enjoyed spring break with the grandkids, a trip to the zoo, children's museum and many other Pittsburgh traditions. The suites were great, the breakfast and pool were perfect and all of the staff, housekeeping etc were absolutely FABULOUS !!! They all went above and beyond to see that we were always comfortable, happy a... Read more

We stayed here for a weekend in Pittsburgh for s youth baseball tournament. The hotel was nice, very clean. Bed was super comfortable. We had a family of 4 in a room with a king bed and pull out couch, which wasn't ideal but it was all that was left. The room set up isn't ideal for 4 people, unless all you are doing is watching tv, in which case it is very nice. No room to walk when the couch is pulled out, not much room to socialize when it's collapsed. Breakfast area, pool, gum are all well ... Read more

This was a convenient stop overnight before an event in Pittsburgh. The staff was friendly and cheerful, the room was clean, and the breakfast was above average with both eggs (with toppings) and make your own waffles. There were a few problems: I requested a feather-free room three times, but there were down & feather pillows on the bed when we arrived late at night, weary and wanting to sleep. The bed is quite firm with no pillow-top and left me with a stiff and aching back. The room is not la... Read more

I stayed at this hotel for 1 night and loved my stay! The staff was super friendly and made me feel like a valued guest upon check-in. My room was huge! Comfy couch, work area/kitchen, large comfortable bed and a really spacious bathroom as well (photos included). Everything was clean and super comfortable, it felt like my own little apartment. The complimentary breakfast was full of everything you could want - eggs, oatmeal, bread, cereal, fruit, etc. All this plus free wifi and free parking! I... Read more

We stayed here for four nights, and the room was well appointed, and clean, but it felt like it may not have been occupied for awhile. When using the sink, it sputtered air until water filled the lines completely. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel location was convenient to the places we wanted to go in and around Pittsburgh, and right off the freeway and turnpike. No disturbing noise from the turnpike though. Plenty of restaurants nearby as well. Breakfast area was large and the buf... Read more

My family came in from Ohio and i decided to join them so we could spend more time together. Our rooms were spacious and connecting, we had 3 little girls with us and the space made it very nice. The rooms were clean. The lobby was inviting. Brenda at the front desk was very welcoming. Skip made sure we had the right accommodations. Best of all was Posie the breakfast hostess. She was so nice making sure everyone had what they needed, it was a great way to start the day. I enjoyed the outside a... Read more

Hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and the hotel looks almost new. It's surprisingly quiet given it's proximity to the Turnpike. We were visiting family at the VA in Pittsburgh and though you have to deal with the tunnel and construction in Pittsburgh, this was a great location if you aren't staying in Pittsburgh. Commute wasn't bad and there are several chain restaurants just down the road to eat at.

Started staying at this hotel when it was first remodeled. It's starting to get a little wear and tear. Older staff is polite, the younger workers need training on customer relations. Might have been my last time. No it is my last time staying here.

We were very impressed with this hotel! The rooms were bright and clean, larger than expected. Also, bedding was comfortable and clean! Nothing seemed dingy at all. I will def be staying here every time I travel to Monroeville again. Nice breakfast and hot coffee available in the morning. Was just so shocked at how new and clean everything seemed.

We booked two nights at this hotel for a wedding. When we checked in, we were told that the elevator was out of service and, luckily, were able to get a room on the first floor. We did have to wait a bit to check in because there was only ONE person on duty in the hotel; she was answering the phones, trying to register guests, accept payments from people who were buying things from the "market" in the lobby, microwave food from this "market"... While we were waiting to check in, I used the re... Read more

Had the opportunity to stay at this property for 2 nights. Very pleased. Staff excellent - well trained. Room was spotless and for the most part well maintained. Bedding very good. (Down pillows though -terrible!!!!) The suite layout was shweet and in general I look forward to staying at this property again. A few notes: breakfast was plentiful, but bland. Wonderful layout and again exceptional staff. The pool is very small.. maybe 10 foot wide in the deep end. Pleasantly open until 1... Read more

Our family has stayed at this hotel at least 10 times over the past 5 years (we have family in Pittsburgh). The rooms are big, in good condition, and clean. The free breakfast is good. The front desk staff is always very courteous and friendly. The breakfast staff is very friendly, and they make sure that you have everything that you need. The location is great (right off the PA Turnpike) if you don't want to stay downtown.

We had a family meet at Springhill Suites Pittsburg. The place Centrally located . The rooms are well furnished clean and neat. The tariff also is within affordable range. The morning complimentary breakfast is really awesome with Manu varieties. It was a pleasant and memorable stay at Springhill Suites a Marriott Group.

First of course I am a Marriott fan and have crossed my 75 days of stays a while back. This stay was a bit out of the norm for a Marriott. The early check in worked fine, the staff was all smiles, the lady working the breakfast is spectacular. My room was nice although the bathroom and tub were showing their age. My big issue was that for my entire stay my bathroom was not cleaned at all, which is a shocker to me. I didn't complain day two because I wanted to see how long proper cleaning would b... Read more

This was my first experience staying at this property as we usually stay at the Springhill Suites in West Mifflin, PA. The hotel appearance and amenities are almost exactly the same as the other property but the housekeeping and mattress quality were definitely sub par for a Marriott property. Our room was completely overlooked by housekeeping on our second night stay and the night manager offered 4,000 Marriott points to compensate for the inconvenience of no clean bedding or linen. We spent 2 nights in the Marriott in Cranberry to attend a family function but wanted to be near the turnpike to head back to NJ Monday morning after attending the Steeler game on Sunday night. Easy check-in, clean and comfortable room. Nice breakfast in the morning before we hit the road.

Room was neat and spacious. Sheets were clean. Even though it was a studio room, there was a pull out sofa for extra guest. No dingy smell in the room or the corridor. Parking was plenty. Little hard to find the place from the highway, especially at night, since it was a deep turn into the hotel . So maybe couple more signs would help.

We stayed in a king suite here for a hockey tournament. The hotel is nice and the rooms are very large however the spaces you use the most, bedroom and bathroom are jammed into one quarter of the total space. It appears this hotel may have reconfigured and combined rooms in a renovation so the king bed barely fit into the space and you have to squeeze by to get to the other side of the bed or to the closet. Unless one person can dress in the living area it is quite the dance to jog around the be... Read more

Like some other reviewer said, the room is crowded. After we open up the sofa bed, you will have to be a monkey around the room. The air conditioning is terrible too. Half of the room is freezing cold the other half is burning hot. None of sleep well at night, can't wait for the morning. Then the breakfast.... the egg has no taste, the sausage is too salty. The cappuccino is like creamy sugar water. My most terrible Marriott experience. Stay away!
