We were very impressed how clean the lobby and rooms were. Very unsatisfied with the breakfast bar for a Hampton Inn. The food was cold, and overcooked. Pastries were hard. Staff needed to be more welcoming to their guest. Smiles don't hurt!!!

I donā??t believe this was initially built as a Hampton Inn. The room layout is totally different from the typical room of Hampton Inn. Anyway, the elevator was broken and out of service, so we had to use stairways to our room in 8th floor. This may be a terrible experience to senior people with heavy luggage. The breakfast was also terrible.

Excellent customer service on check-in. Very modern, freshly redecorated room with comfortable bed. Outback Steakhouse attached to hotel with delivery to lobby. Unfortunately there was a strong odor in the hallway outside our room. Didn't notice it in the room itself. Wondered if it was exhaust from the restaurant making its way into the hotel, hence my 4-star review. Great location immediately off the interstate with lots of shopping and dining within 1-2 miles.

Since the elevators were not working (we had no advance notice BUT were on the first floor) there was constant complaining and quite a bit of noise in the lobby (next to our room). That said, WE had a very pleasant stay - usual good service and breakfast that we've come to expect at Hampton Inns. Would stay there again but would carefully check the status of the elevators.

My wife and I stayed here on May 26 & June 1, 2016. The desk clerks at check-in, Judy and Chris, respectively, were great. We always enjoy staying at this Hampton. The Outback Steakhouse next door is fine, but also try the dining establishments on William Penn, behind the UPMC. There are many.

Due to a house fire, I had an extended stay at the Hampton Inn where I was very impressed with the room, the service and especially the staff. I searched the area for a place that would also accept my cats and was relieved when I was told they were welcome. (Most other hotels in the area do not allow pets, or restrict the number of pets.) The room was clean and comfortable - I had one of the best beds I've ever slept in and the free wi-fi came in handy since I work from home. The staff went o... Read more

This hotel may have been refurbished in recent years. However, on our stay the elevator floors were dirty, with trash strewn about. The air intake vents in the hallways and rooms had lint and some mold on them. The vents looked like they had never been vacuumed. The pool is on the first floor and kids tracked the lobby and elevator floor with water when coming out of the pool. Would not recommend this hotel.

This is one of Hampton's older properties and it does show it's age a bit, thus four rather than five stars. A convenient location to greater Pittsburgh area that is a very good value. The desk staff to housekeeping and others were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good and water and fruit were available all day long to guests along with newspapers and coffee and tea.
