A few bright spots in service, but overall disappointing. Although I'm Diamond and checked in online the day before arrival, my room was given away and I had to accept a smaller room with only one bed (inadequate because I had my wife and two kids, reserved a double queen). The follow up was luke-warm at best. Jazzmen did a great job of getting my room resolved for the second night and was very apologetic and took care of the first night rate, but the overall response was poor. Service and c... Read more

The hotel is in a very convenient location. It's close to lots of eateries and a mall, all within walking distance. I was here for a wedding (family member). We stayed in room 404. When we arrived at the hotel, the lobby seemed clean and check in was smooth. That is as far as the maintenance seem to go. The elevators were dirty, and the lighting was poor. Mostly because there were a lot of burned out bulbs that hadn't been replaced. Upon entering our room, it initially appeared clean. Once w... Read more

This property does need some updating of interior / rooms. Lobby area is nice enough. Ballrooms were beautiful for wedding we attended there. The bed was comfortable for one night stay. Bathrooms are small and have to close the door to use the toilet properly. Every few months, I stay here for Steel City Con, and it's always the type of top-notch experience I'd expect from a Hilton. It's less than a 5 minute walk to the Convention Center, and during SCC, you never know who you'll run into here, because this is where the celebrities stay! The staff is always very friendly and courteous, the prices are on par with all the other heavy hitters in town, and the location is great - you have relatively easy access to both I-376 and the PA Turnpike. This Hilton needs upgrades. Smelled musty. The cleaning person did not take trash from trashcan, left dirty wash cloth in shower. Left dirty cups at coffee station. Got back late from conference ask for extra shampoo and conditioner, waited and waited and fell asleep, they never came. The breakfast was great and the manager was great, I don't think he ever went home. No refrigerator!

Clean with very friendly service, especially in the restaurants. Food quality was good at the breakfast buffet, but the quality and selection on the dinner menu was outstanding. Only issue I had was the $16.00 charge for the breakfast buffet. You can get the same, or better, selections at a stand alone restaurant for half that price. On the other hand, the dinner menu was very reasonably priced for the quality and quantity of food received, I'll definitely stay here during my next busine... Read more

I am disappointed. My son, his dad and I, and his in-laws were at the Hilton on June 18, 2016. (My son came in on the 17th for the OPEN.) He is a very frequent Hilton guest. He thought he had put all three rooms on his points of which he has a million or so and we all thought it was great and I got home and found you had billed my card and screwe3d up room numbers. Not happy about all this confusion at all.

My wife and I spent the weekend at this hotel, the site of a lovely wedding reception for our cousin. For the following reasons, I'm sorry to report that the hotel does not deserve the Hilton name. It does not even deserve my two-star rating as much as a star and a half. 1. We were astonished that the rooms in a hotel carrying the Hilton name do not come with safes to lock and store valuables. I've stayed at the Monroeville DoubleTree in the past & had a very pleasant experience. On my past visit I got a room with 2 queen beds. When I was ready for bed, I pulled down the sheets of one of the beds. What I found was what appeared to be a bunch of food crumbs. Thought about asking to change rooms but the hour was late. The other bed seemed to be OK. The next morning, preparing for my shower I looked for a bottle of shampoo. None was there, just conditioner & body lotion.

A/C unit incredibly load. Could not switch from A/C to heat. Front desk wouldn't help. The location was out of the way and difficult to get to. However, room was quite large, but unexplicably so - most of the space was wasted.

I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for a hotel if possible. The stay was okay but nothing to write home about. I expected better than what was received. The service was fine, but a lack of a mini fridge, a thermostat that couldn't be set and a less than clean, somewhat dated room would prevent me from staying here again

My family and I stay at this hotel every year for a dance convention and have no complaints! The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is very friendly. Room service is delicious! We love the atmosphere of this hotel as well. We plan on coming back often!

The entire staff was very friendly. The location is very convenient to restaurants and shopping. You get a warm cookie when you check in too! I would definitely stay at this hotel again in the future.

Had to come to town for a funeral and was glad to find a bereavement rate and excellent rooms. Appreciated the warm cookies and the pool would have been nice accept kids dominated the pool Saturday night.

Everything here is fine. Nothing fancy but cozy facilities, pleasant staff and location across from a small shopping mall and lots of other fast food aand stores within a mile. Very convenient to the convention center if you have business there.

The staff was friendly, efficient and helpful. The expectations for a Hilton property were met. Humidity level in the room was dry was my only issue. Would be nice to get complimentary water to alleviate the issue.

Great time in PA. We met our relatives from Philly, in Monroeville which is halfway between there and Detroit. We had a great time visiting . The staffwas helpful in giving us suggestions for dining and entertainment.

We stay here every time we travel to Pittsburgh. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is friendly and the breakfast buffet has a variety of options. This hotel is conveniently located next to the mall and close to many restaurant options.
