The whole place is well used and well worn. Trash always on the floors in the elevators, a pool that was out of service for the entire stay (with a badly pitted floor), a hot tub that was taped off and unusable, a laundry room that had not been swept or vacuumed in quite a while, suite carpet that had large burns (or stains) in it, and lots of walls and fixtures with scrapes, chips, and gashes everywhere. The juice machine over 4 days always had a sign on it that said "Sorry, no orange juice to... Read more

We stayed here one night while in the area because this hotel allows pets and we were traveling with our dog Sophie (wish more hotels allowed pets!). We had a two bedroom/bathroom suite, which was immaculate, spacious and had everything we needed to be comfortable. The entire hotel was very clean and the staff were very helpful. The rates were reasonable, and included breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel, particularly to those traveling with pets. The rooms were as clean, if n... Read more

We stay here almost every time we're in the area, the rooms are always spotless. The apartment like rooms allow for me to work without waking my wife. They offer a breakfast that rivals any restaurant in the area for its choices and better yet it's included.

We always stay here for our annual Sesame Place trip. We always meet some nice couples with kids at the pool. The rooms are large and always in great shape. Breakfast is good and the location is right. We found a nice Italian restaurant a couple minutes away. It is exactly what you expect when you stay at a Marriott hotel!

The staff attention to detail varies from not my problem to good enough - no bath towels left 2 of 3 days we were here. No coffee at all in hallway - none at 10 am on Saturday - none at 5-7 pm on any day. First nite toilet did not flush and almost ran over . They switched us to only room that looks out on a/c cooling tower and front facade roof and beer mixer for group staying here for a year. While this inconsistent level of service might be ok for a lesser franchise - we expect more from Mari... Read more

Horrible stay. Checked in for a 3 week extended stay. Pool closed due to broken filter pump, which was delivered 7 days after check in. It took 3 days for pump to be installed, and now we are another 5 days waiting for Marriott administration to sign off to re-open a pool that has been working for over a 5 days. No manager ever around hotel to expedite situation. Constantly getting the run around from front desk. Told to use Courtyard pool down the street, which is always crowded and dirty... Read more

We are currently staying in the hotel as we were visiting Sesame Place. This is a very convenient location, especially if you have to come back for an afternoon nap. There is a hot breakfast provided in the morning. This morning there was no coffee, hot water for tea, juice, or plates. My mother hunted down someone who worked there and she was on her cell phone instead of taking care of the guests. Our room was very spacious and also had a fireplace in it. The low point of the stay was that our ... Read more

We are a family of 4 (3 yo and 1 yo) and this hotel was perfect! Room was clean and spacious. We had a king suite. We booked 1 night for a 2 day trip to sesame place with another family of 5. Since our rooms were ready, we got early check in at 11:45 am. Love the Marriott app and was able to check in from the app. Customer service was excellent, friendly and accommodating. She shuttle to sesame place ran every 1/2 hour so that was very convenient. We will definitely stay here again and wou... Read more

7 of us stayed in this hotel (4 adults, 3 kids) in a 2-bedroom suite for our vacation to Sesame Place. When we arrived our room wasn't ready and we had to wait a little over an hour. It was a bit annoying but the receptionist was friendly and offered us water and apologized. The room itself is a bit tight but we all fit and it worked out perfectly to have the separate rooms and the extra living space. The breakfast was very good and made the mornings easy with getting ready for the park. It... Read more

This was our first overnight outing as a family of four and we were a little nervous. But the Residence Inn's staff were extremely friendly and the room was perfect for our needs. It included a small kitchen, table to eat at, a desk, and a large couch in one room, a large bathroom (where we ended up putting our baby's pack and play (provided by the hotel) connected to the bedroom. The bedroom had a comfortable king-size bed. The free breakfast in the morning was great, especially since the baby... Read more

Had a king suite for a couple days while we visited Sesame Place. The hotel is within a couple miles of the park, and there are several amenities around for eating, shopping, etc. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good and one night they had brownies and ice cream out for quests. We were not back in time for the social hour to review that experience. Parking was easy and check in-out was no problem.

I have stayed here twice to take my kids to sesame place. Overall the location is great, it's also a huge bonus to have spare rooms to hang out in after the kids go to bed. I would rate my first stay there 4 or 5. My last stay was a 2-3. Mainly because housekeeping replaced our sheets the 2nd day with ones that had dried blood on them. When i went to change the sheets i noticed the comforter also had dried blood on it underneath, who knows if it was like that on our first night and we ju... Read more

The rooms are filthy, even after being relocated to three different rooms they were all disgusting. Never again, sad part is we've been staying there for the last three year. Place went down hill very fast. Severely under staffed, only one worker in the entire hotel, that is certainly to much to ask of one person.

We stayed here after our wedding, in Newtown, before leaving for our "official honeymoon", the following day. We checked-in early in the day and the staff did a wonderful job making our suite romantic! Roses, chocolate, & strawberries really made our stay special!!

Stayed here two nights for a visit to Sesame Place. First and foremost let me compliment the staff here. Everyone we had contact with was super friendly and helpful. From the front desk staff, to housekeeping, to the breakfast room staff: excellent service! The hotel is conveniently located less than a five minute drive from the park. Our one bedroom suite was clean and comfortable. There are a plenty of restaurants within a 10 minute drive, and the daily free breakfast was very good: eggs, po... Read more

To begin with, I started off with being told my room had a fireplace and apparently the studio rooms don't have a fireplace. It wasn't a big deal but it was false advertisement and you would think with $217 a night, you'd get exactly what you're told. Then the room temperature stayed at 78 degrees the whole time. I advised them that it didn't work and they told us because it was so hot outside that it was going to take longer. All night, no AC. It was bad we had to open up our freezer lol to mak... Read more

My family and I stayed at this hotel for a couple days to attend Sesame Place nearby. The location was convenient, the pool was nice, and the continental breakfast satisfying. However, upon entering our room we were greeted with a very dirty carpet that had red/pink splatter stains. The couch and chair both had white dirt stains, the closet door had brown stains resembling spilled soda, the air vent was littered with dust and grime, our bedspread had a reddish brown stain resembling dried blood,... The hotel was great! Very close to sesame and the hotel provided a quick and convient shuttle. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The only thing is the room has a few baby hazards (outlets and sharp edges). We would definitely stay there again on our next trip to SP!

Traveling to Sesame with 2 young kids is always an adventure. Trying to check in with a crying infant and a 2 year old running around is tough. But Erin was amazing polite and great with the children. I came a little early and she went out of her way to make sure a room was ready. The room was amazing and clean. Breakfast was great and the shuttle was great as well. Everyone there was friendly and so willing to help. I will definitely stay there again.

I reserved a one room suite months in advance of my stay. Upon check-in, I was informed that there was an electrical issue and a block of rooms were unavailable for the night so we were in a guest room. The front desk did offer to put me in the correct room the following day, but we were leaving early in the morning and returning late at night so we stayed in the room they gave us. The a.c. vent is directly above the bed and the direction of air flow could not be adjusted so it blew on me all ... Read more

Due to repairs of a broken pipe under our kitchen floor, we got many recommendations from others and Public Adjusters Associates to stay at this Residence Inn, which I thought was unnecessary because the work was scheduled for 2-3 days. It turned into 10 days of dust, chaos, surprises, overwhelming stress, as well as the constant running back and forth from the hotel to our home several times a day. Thank God it was only 5 miles away ! At this Residence Inn, we felt like we were back home w... Read more

The accommodations were quite well. What put our stay over the top of almost any other stay ( I travel alot ) would be the kindness and professionalism of your onsite staff, specifically Erin and Sara. They continuously provided us with assistance as needed and were truly a pleasure to speak with. I cannot say enough how appreciative we are for their courteousness and outright care ... Read more

Very nice hotel. Kitchen is always a plus! Great breakfast! The staff was very nice, hard working, willing to go the distance. Very very close to Sesame Place. Going for a 3rd time really soon! A+ We didn't try the pool. But we will next time around if we have the time. It has a nice basketball court for shooting hoops. Has a nice barbecue area too.
