A nice hotel in downtown Lancaster, an area which doesnâ??t seem to have many good, reasonably priced hotels (except for the pricier Marriott). Easy walking to downtown restaurants, etc; modern bar (with food) is across the street. Room was quiet, clean, comfortable and well equipped. Good shower; no bathtub. Spacious lobby with coffee, computer & printer, and breakfast area. Breakfast was limited (cereals, bread, fruit, juice, etc.) but OK. Staff friendly. Parking, in the adjacent parking garag... We are not very high maintenance and we don't ask for much so the fact that we were not pleased was very disappointing for us. We usually stay at a budget hotel because all we really need to be happy is a clean, comfy, safe place to sleep with the basic amenities. That should not be too much to ask. We decided to "treat" ourselves this trip as it was our 10 year anniversary and stay in a nicer place closer to downtown. Cosmetically, the hotel has been remodeled very nicely and it looks great ... It was a nice surprise to visit a hotel with our dog and not be treated as a second class citizen. Everyone, from front desk to maids, we're welcoming to our group and our dogs. The rooms were nice and reasonably priced. Nice location with a quick block walk to park area with green grass for dogs, and plenty of dog friendly restaurants within a short walk. I will definitely stay here should I find myself back in Lancaster.

We recently booked three rooms at this hotel for a business trip . One King, one Queen, and one Double Queen. All three different rooms were great! It was a perfect location! Nice hotel, clean rooms, quiet ! Many restaurants within walking distance. Front desk staff was friendly & helpful at finding us new places to try . We even got free tickets to a local baseball game . Hotel manager Gary was also terrific and helped us with our transportation needs ! I highly recommend this establishment an... Read more

I am sitting in the lobby waiting for my room. I am in Lancaster for a wedding having drove in for the day intending to spend one night. The wedding is at four and checkin in at three. Upon making the reservation was told we could get in the room as soon as it was ready. At noon arrival today was told room not ready. Try back at 1:30. Two ladies working front desk. Asked is it likely the room will be ready and began explaining the four o'clock wedding. The less friendly of the two clerks began ... Read more

Also John the owner went above and beyond in helping us and making our stay a very pleasant one. Would recommend a stay here for sure! đ???đ???

We liked that the hotel was in a location that allowed us to walk to most everything. Nothing fancy but clean and the staff was helpful with a list of places to dine. The continental breakfast was basic but adequate. Parking garage next to the hotel was $10/day and we basically just left our car parked and walked everywhere and saw that most areas you had to pay to park anyway. Our expectations weren't high so no disapointments here.

I stayed at this hotel for four nights and it was a great experience. The staff is very helpful and welcoming. Even before I booked the hotel I got a lot of help from the sales manager Gary. For example he made a phone call in the US for me (his own initiative) because I had a request about transportation. That was very considerate and convinient for me who is living in Europe. He answered quickly and competent to all my questions. And the helpfullness of the staff continued throughout my whole ... Read more

The hotel sits in the heart of downtown Lancaster with in walking distance of restaurants, clubs and shopping. The rooms are good sized, clean, well appointed with amazingly comfortable beds and pillows. There is a nice light breakfast with locally homemade breads, granola and yogurt. Coffee available all day. Staff are friendly and helpful in a way that goes above and beyond.

My husband and I stayed for 2 days at Hotel Lancaster recently. We were very unhappy with our stay and will never go there again. The wifi in the rooms was really bad. We just could not get the signal when in our room. The breakfast was awful. The selection was the most limited that I have ever seen in a breakfast offering. There was one kind of bread (with seeds, which was very dry and tasted a little off, but there was no alternative), yoghurt, and cereal. We ended up going out for bre... Read more

Everything is very clean, always a priority to me. Staff at the front desk were certainly polite enough and all other staff interaction was pleasant. My complaints: bed was too soft (for me), shower had very little pressure, hallway on the 9th floor was about 80-90 degrees. And the elevators are all too slow. But this is rural PA not central NJ, so the pace should be s bit slower. I was a little taken aback by the breakfast at first, but had I been expecting a "continental" breakfast, I... Read more

We just spent two nights at the Lancaster for a wedding and found it comfortable, clean, and staffed by friendly personnel. The buffet breakfast was appropriate to this class of hotel with excellent yogurts, breads, boiled eggs, and fruits in a relaxing setting off the lobby. I used the exercise room which provided towels and water and was immaculate. The parking garage is very convenient to the hotel and at $10 a day not extortionate. Not a bad choice for a Lancaster stay.

Convenient to everything downtown Lancaster has to offer. The hotel/room was clean. All staff interactions were pleasant. The room was adequate size-wise. The AC was a little noisy and I pulled out the plug on the mini-fridge to silence it. Had a number of mini pillows with tucked in full size pillow cases. I would prefer a real pillow. The breakfast was okay but there are a lot of options close by. Parking was very convenient. We got what we paid for and were satisfied.

The hotel Lancaster was fine for a night. Conveniently located and courteous and efficient staff. However, it could use a little upgrade. The bathtub was stained and chipped. What does it really take to replace carpet or at a minimum remove the heavily soiled area. Heck I would have been happy if they covered the stains with bathroom rugs from Walmart. I will never stay here again or recommend to anyone. Is it to much to expect a clean room????? On a positive note the front desk agent that checked me in was pleasant.
