Where to start; OLD PROPERTY; EXPENSIVE; TERRIBLE SERVICE; understaffed. Waited for over 10 minutes for someone to located the check in person. We finally made check in. I asked where the breakfast was served; he replied: "I think its upstairs". Nobody to take care of our luggage; hotel was empty and we were denied a late check-out. The excuse they gave me "the person that is cleaning the rooms leaves in 30min and she needs to leave that room clean before she leaves". Took 30minutes to take car... Read more

I had a reservation to stay over for a conference in the morning. I arrived late and pulled up to the hotel, No one was there to valet the car and there was no visible parking close by. I went to the front desk and the first question I asked was is there a valet.. She really didn't answer me. I asked again, she said she would try to get someone. after a few minutes, she took my credit card info, and then told me the only room they had was with a pull out couch..... A pull out couch room????? I ... Read more

I've stayed multiple times here for meetings over 4 years. Last Fall the bed sheets had blood on them. This April trip they did not clean the room during the day. Desk staff argued that the "Do Not Disturb" sign must have been out. They had no evening staff to clean the room. Desk staff would not contact management. I was not contacted by management after asking to have someone contact me. New management took over recently.

I truly enjoyed the time I spent here during a recent conference. Staff was great! The only improvement would be the addition of a gift shop/commissary since the hotel is a bit isolated. The grounds are beautiful and just sitting on the balcony off of my room, enjoying the scenery, was a peaceful way to end each evening.

Arrival - Poor reception, no assistance with luggage and no smile to greet us after exhausting flight. Front desk, asked if any water, we were told to go to the vending machine. Keep in mind I booked almost the whole hotel. My client and I were greeted down in the meeting space by a rude staff person, that told us we could not walk around and look at our meeting space.

I recently attended a three day conference at the Chubb Hotel and Conference Center. Great venue! It's not far from Philadelphia but feels like you are out in the country. The views are amazing. The rooms are well appointed and meets or exceeds the large chains. Beds are comfortable. The conference and hotel staff are very attentive. There is always someone accessible if you need anything. Food was delicious. Lots of choices on the buffet and made to order omelettes for breakfast. During the con... Read more

This place is more for either a large wedding party or business group and conference but I would take the hotel out of the name. No complaints about the grounds or cleanliness of the rooms both were great but we felt like we were at a strange religious compound or meeting center, apparently it used to be an old pharmaceutical training place with boarding rooms. It's a giant old 1970's brown condo looking place but with neat landscaping, We parked a good walk from our actual room and walked throu... Read more

Not really a 'commercial hotel', per se, but as long as you plan ahead re availability of food, drink etc, this is a great facility. (I say that as I don't think there are any bars/restaurants within walking distance of the property.) Very nice, clean, modern rooms. Neat little bar area in the hotel building and lovely big modern club house for the golf course, a short walk away. If you get the chance, the golf course is superb. Redesigned by Gary Player a few years ago, this is one of the best ... Read more

The hotel outside grounds are beautiful with floral gardens. The front desk I spoke to Emery was helpful in so many ways. Emery was able to find me a beauty salon near by and she found Joe the hotel driver to take me to the salon Platinum. Joe was able to pick me up when I was finish getting my hair style for the wedding my husband and I was attending. Several people who was working at the hotel was helpful and some names I do remember is Mark (hotel manager) Jim (in charge of repairs and ... Read more

The Chubb center is beautiful located surrounded by the golf course. The facilities are great, and the size of the meeting rooms is very flexible. The food is very delicious and nicely prepared. Only negative comment is that it's not possible to buy dinner if you don't belong to a group! Well not true but you have to pay $48 for a salad! That's ridiculous!!

Attended the WOW (Women of Wellness) conference and truly enjoyed my stay. The facilities were beautiful, comfortable beds, great food, and friendly staff. The grounds were well kept and perfect for an early morning walk or run. Will definitely stay here again.

This was my second stay at Chubb for a family event and it was just perfect. Spotless rooms, friendly staff, delicious breakfast, amazing grounds and a beautiful facility. The only thing I regret is that they closed the indoor pool. It would have come in very handy during my visit. All in all this is an outstanding hotel and I would not hesitate recommending it to anyone. One more thing - the helicopter landing pad at the entrance is pretty cool.

I did not stay at Chubb. I was there for a wedding weekend. Finding where events were taking place on the property was very hard. Many parking lots, but no signs as to where I needed to go. I had to call from the parking lot to find out which lot to park in. Secondly, I attended two events at Chubb. The hot food served was cold. All the food served Friday evening was in chafing dishes, but is was cold! On Saturday, a sit down dinner and again the hot food was cold, but the dessert ice cream sand... Read more
