I have come to Johnstown every 10 months for the past 3-4 years and always stayed here at the convenience of my hosts. I find the personnel absolutely flawless and they have always been very helpful and kind. The food at the restaurant is very good and this time we had a conference with about 25 people here at one of their meeting rooms and had again, excellent service and breaks with fruits, coffe, fresh cakes at a quiet place. No complaints. But the place needs an urgent refresh. The outside i... Read more

Stayed here last year. Quality has improved. Staff is nice. Harrigan's remains one of the better on site HI restaurants I've been to. The internet speed has gotten better but occasionally will drop my connection on my computer. It constantly drops the connection on my phone, which is annoying.

It appears the hotel has had a recent freshening up. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Unlike a lot of hotels, the carpets were clean and did not show too much wear. The hotel room itself was clean and included a small fridge and microwave. The only downside is that the internet required frequent re-signing in and the site did not offer to save the password. Breakfast was good, too (order the pancakes). I will choose this hotel during my next visit over the summer.

Typical of a well established business, some normal wear from many years of service, but to me that makes it more like visiting old friends. Secure, clean and friendly staff. No complaints, but only stayed one evening and didn't get to use all amenities. The elevator chime was unique in that it was mechanical and physically rang a bell when changing floors. Liked it.

This is the place to be if you have to travel to Johnstown, Pa. A great full service hotel with a restaurant and lounge on site. Wonderful menu selections for breakfast, lunch and dinner or an after hours drink. Lovely ballroom and meeting rooms for your next business function!

After looking up hotels on the Internet we booked this hotel. After putting the address into my GPS we were unable to find the hotel! He hotel we thought we were booking had been tore down and forwarded to another Holiday Inn! This was very frustrating since we had 2 small, tired children. My Daughter, 3 year old grandson, 7 month old granddaughter and I stayed here May 14 in adjoining rooms. I will say that the lobby was very nice and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, however t... Read more

If not for the air conditioner sounding like a freight train and disturbing our sleep I would have given this hotel a 4. The service was good and the rooms nice. The location is fantastic for walking to all the downtown attractions. Had a good breakfast for very reasonable price. I'd stay there again but insist on a quiet air unit. The price for the hotel was also reasonable but we did stay on a Monday night.

This was a very friendly and helpful staffed hotel. If someone didn't know the answer to one of my many questions, they always found someone who did. It was an extremely busy week, however Diana made sure we had everything we needed and helped with our after work agenda, directions included. Midrange price for a comfortable and clean room. Fridge& microwave in room. Indoor pool. Delicious restaurant.

Nice hotel overall. Front desk staff was friendly. Room was clean and well thought out. Food from the restaurant wasn't good at all. Order takeout from somewhere else. There is a $5 fee for parking and it isn't near the door. Staff got a bit argumentative when the parking fee was broached.

Rooms are just ok. Lots of wear showing at this hotel. If visiting Johnstown, recommend you stay in Somerset at about half the price or points if you are a club member. The restaurant was empty and I can see why. Old and outdated with average food. The map they give you of the downtown is really poor. Needs updating. Location is the only thing going for this property and plan on paying for parking at the hotel. On the positive, the front desk clerks were friendly.

Don't be surprised whenever you visit Johnstown, you really don't have any other options on where to stay in Johnstown. The hotel is nice and clean. The room I stayed was clean and comfortable, but generally spoken it is time for an update of all items, bed, AC and furniture are already well lived. My main complaint is the ridiculous parking fee of 5$ a day on top of the pricey room rate.... but again you don't have many options to stay around Johnstown.

The hotel staff was excellent from the front desk staff to the restaurant staff. Parking was the only challenge. If you get a space in the lot keep it. The parking garage is challenging to exit. Rooms were comfortable. Air conditioner is noisy but kept the room nice and cool. Fitness area and pool are both very nice. Nice to have in room frig and microwave.

There really aren't a lot of choices for places to stay in Johnstown (they don't get a lot of visitors). Having said that the hotel staff is very friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and well kept. The $5 a day parking fee seems a little excessive but is probably city driven. The hotel could use at least a minor renovation but is very well kept up despite that. Everything works and is well kept just dated.

I have been coming here for 10 years for business and always a wonderful stay and staff is always fantastic. Room was super clean and pillows were super fluffy and bed was nice and comfy. Had a late evening drink at bar which was delightful too!

The hotel was very clean and while it was unfortunate we had a medical emergency while we were there, the staff handled the situation with care and efficiency. The restaurant in the hotel was higher class and the food was good.

A dirty old hotel with terrible parking. We were delayed and tried contacting the front multiple times around 7-9 pm on a Sunday evening and just got voicemail. No return call was received. Parking is awful in a dark garage with an elevator that puts you next to stairs, and a barrier and grass to take your suitcase over. No market, just a restaurant that's subpar. And the wifi at this establishment is problematic at best. I only stay here because it's walking distance from Scott's By Dam. Otherw... Read more

Good enough for our purposes, but not a bargain price. Our A/C was weak ... we kept it going all day and it never quite got cool enough. The water pressure was very low, especially during busy times. We enjoyed the microwave and fridge. The hotel in general seems a little run down, but the free covered parking is nice. We wish they made more effort to encourage "green" activities ... suggest we reuse our towels, have more recycling, etc. Not great overall, but we'd stay there again if we n... Read more

We ended up coming through Johnstown with no place to stay. We stopped in at this Hotel and loved it. The girls at the front desk were so happy and friendly. The Lobby was modern and clean. The room was clean and updated with the bed being very clean with no issues. They even provided shuttle service to restaurants in the area. The Hotel bar was very nice to sit back and relax in. Sorry I did not have time to use the pool.

Spent three nights at the hotel and had a very comfortable stay. The staff was gracious. The linens were clean and nice. The pillows need improvement. Putting a firm pillow case and any pillow does not make it firm. Hotel restaurant is very good. I would recommend and will definitely be staying here again

Our stay was from September 8th-11th 2016. On Saturday, September someone from housekeeping came to he room as we were preparing to leave, I saw her change the sheet and brought in some sheets. When we got back in the evening I discovered that the pillow cases were not changed, the dirty towels were not removed, there was no soap etc. The sink, toilet and bath were not cleaned, the room as not vacumed, some of the stuff from the bin in the main room was on the floor. I stayed here for 2 nights using reward points. I had a room on the 5th floor and the internet was slow and I had to sign in every time I used it. Not sure why they charge $5.00 a day for parking and just don't have it included in the price of the room ($140.00) a night. The bed was the best part of the stay.

I guess it is the only show in town, as far as a full-service hotel in the downtown Johnstown area goes, and the price (high, for what you get) and standards (low, for what you pay) show it. The lobby is nice enough--you get the feeling the hotel and restaurant/bar were once a "destination" in Johnstown but not now., Fairly unfriendly/indifferent check-in, no recognition of IHG elite status. As others have stated, $5 parking charge is annoying and unwarranted and just another example they have... Read more

I have nothing but good things to say about this property. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable. Many of my must-haves were met...mini fridge, in-room coffee (kurig), microwave, free wifi, free covered parking, and a very comfortable bed. The hotel restaurant is quite good. And I enjoyed being in the heart of charming Johnstown. I hope to come back soon.

I've been a steady customer at this hotel for almost 20 years. I won't be any longer. Despite my priority club membership and my past loyalty, my longstanding reservation for this week (10/9-10/11) was cancelled abruptly when I was late getting in. There was no call to my cellphone, despite the fact that it was well-posted on my reservation and my loyalty club file. I will tell you why this happened. I was attending a conference, and there was a rush of people who needed rooms at this place. So... Read more

If you are doing the incline train and the Johnstown Flood tours and National Park, good place to stay. The room service was fast and the dining room good for breakfast (but with a rather limited menu).
