Friends stayed at the hilton garden inn across and it was amazing. Holiday inn express was unimpressive Internet was a nightmare all the front desk would say is there are too many people using it obvious hotel needs to buy more bandwidth, HBO was down for 2 days until the only caring staff member tool the time to call tech support and got it fixed

If your heading to the attractions at Hershey, this is a good place to stay. The Staff was extra friendly. The hotel does need a little updating, and it's small things like the lock on the bathroom was broken, ice machine needs paint. One issue with our room was the carpet was clean in the main areas, but areas like under the desk were pretty direvy.

We had a good stay in this hotel. Rooms are standard, but nice. Breakfast had everything, hot and cold items. Our daughter loved the pool and hot-tub. Very close to Hershey. Very nice hotel for a 2,5 star. Would stay here again.

I will admit that this hotel is a good value. The price was very affordable and the room was clean. It gets a fair amount of traffic and is slowly showing age but it is still a good stay. Yes I am sure some things can be improved however the staff was very friendly and welcoming thus making a start to a great stay. The room was good, kids loved the pool and the breakfast was adequate and hot and fresh. I wish breakfast hours were slightly longer but as long as you know the hours you can adju... Read more

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! This hotel offers great service, exceptionally clean room and a breakfast beyond the continental style expectations! The hotel staff were always visible in the lobby/lounge area and always ready to help with anyone's needs. When we first pulled in we could hear a noisy train nearby but we had no outside noise or sound once within the hotel. Well kept hotel inside and out!

I have stayed at Holiday Inn Express hotels all over the country because I consistently get clean, comfortable rooms with a decent breakfast. I am rarely disappointed but was this time. The room was very comfortable but there was some mold in the bathroom around the tub, probably due to the poor ventilation. We stayed two nights and breakfast was good as usual but a little tight so go early. Although it was June and close to Hershey, I thought that the room was overpriced, A Thursday and Fri... Read more

Stayed one night after leaving Hershey Park. Check in was fast and was able to get connecting rooms. Comfortable bed and pillows. Mini fridge and microwave in room. The pool and hot tub was nice but there was a basketball team there. So the kids took over it! Continental breakfast was good. The cheese omelet was tasty. I loved the keuring in the room!

Recently stayed here on a trip to Hersheypark. I arrived late and left early. The room was clean enough, with the exception of all the stains on the carpet. The shower was fine with good water pressure. The room definitely could some sprucing up for the nightly rate (probably was higher due to peak summer season). The bed was comfortable and the A/C worked fine. I did not hear much noise during the night and slept well. The front desk was helpful and the hotel is located close to the Park.... Read more

As a previous commenter noted, the internet is horrible. It's truly unacceptable in this day in age. At times it took 10 minutes to load one page. If having any kind of internet access is important to you, this is a place to avoid. Oh also, we tried to call the front desk to inquire about the internet several times and no one answered. That's right, no one answered the guest services line several times. In addition to that, we opened our door one day to see that the room number had fal... Read more

We usually stay at a Holiday Inn when we travel since my husband is a Spire member with IHG. We picked this hotel because of it's proximity to Hersheypark. The hotel was very busy the weekend we were there. The employees we encountered were friendly and helpful. Our room was on the first floor (118). The ceiling needs to be cleaned. I have never seen so many cobwebs! The bed was comfortable, the room was spacious, the bathroom was definitely on the smaller side. The indoor pool was small, but ... Read more

I expected cleanliness especially being close to Hersey park and having families visit. There was a stain on the carpet and on the chair. I asked for a rollaway which I asked and reserved prior to arrival. They said they were sold out and I said I had reserved it prior. She brought in up in 15 minutes but I had to really push it. This room needed to be renovated prior to booking it. I've been to several Holiday inn's and this didn't reflect them. The bathroom vanity was chipped and need r... Read more

We stayed only one night. There was a sign at the desk saying under new management. The staff was very pleasant, there was a trainee at the desk, she was very sweet. The hotel itself was ok. We ran out of toilet paper in one day! I didn't bother to request more since we ran out in the morning and we were leaving right away,The location was great. I felt the price was way too high for the accomodations, however I realize it is peak season so I guess it's all relative.

This is the second time I've stated here this summer. I stated here in June with my family when my niece graduated from high school. This hotel had a discounted rate which is why we chose it. At that time, there were a number of problems. My mother called to complain about the issues and was given enough points in her card to get a free night. We are here now using the free night, and the issues continue: *Internet is very slow and kicks you off *TV has a number of fuzzy stations. We found... Read more

Based on other reviewers, I called and asked for a room on the front of the property so the train did not wake up my little one. Even on the front of the building (325), train was noticeable, but luckily did not wake her up. Poor guy checking people in seemed to be the only worker. He was answering phones, checking people in, and had to go get us a crib. Room was pretty average, definitely not $200+ a night worthy. Bathrooms need a caulk update. AC was kinda loud, and never got the room "cold... Read more

We stayed here to attend a concert at Hershey Park Stadium. This is a great little hotel just a couple miles (straight down Hershey park drive) from Hershey Park stadium. Don't let the "Hummelstown" address fool you. This hotel is very close (3 minutes) to all of the Hershey Park attractions. Hershey Stadium, Hershey Area, Hershey Park and Giant Center. We had a double Queen Room with a small suite. I don't know how many suite rooms they have like this but it was a great to have the extra spac... Read more

We stayed for 2 nights while out in the area at go to Hersheypark. The hotel is nice and clean. The rooms were clean. The pool are is kept clean and the water was very cool ( I find that the water in indoor pools are sometimes to warm) the breakfast was included and was good. My only complaint is the same one I have with most chain hotels, when I check into a room that sleeps four I expect that there should be four towels in the bathroom. I always have to ask for one more every day.

At check in we had to wait several minutes because there was a line. I don't have a complaint about this as we were there for a concert at Hershey Park as were several other guests. However, the room was substandard for the price ($278/night). The bedding had stains and the floors appeared dirty. There were three of us staying in the room. I had to go and request additional towels as there was only ONE bath towel. I waited at the front desk for 15 minutes but I could see into the back office ... Read more

This is your typical inn to stay a night or two. We needed a place to sleep while visiting hershey park. Rooms were clean and comfortable, staff was friendly and they had breakfast in the mornings. Rate was reasonable. The hotel is small but nice. It doesnt look old or run down. I would stay again.

We have stayed at this hotel before and have always enjoyed it here. The hotel is under new ownership and the seller's did not disclose repairs, nor allow a walk through for the new owners. Bear with them while they get repairs/updates/TLC complete. We were in a room with 2 queen beds on the 1st floor, facing the rear parking area. Rooms are nicely sized with a writing desk, adequate size bathroom, microwave, refrigerator, 32" flat screen and Free WiFi. Beds were very comfortable with all white... Read more

We stayed two nights here. It was alright. The room was clean and comfortable. The housekeeping staff was so sweet and friendly. The front desk staff was standoffish and I hardly ever saw them actually there at the desk. They were usually in the back doing who knows what. The pool and hot tub was nice, but the jacuzzi water was nasty. It was closed when we were leaving, so I hope it was getting cleaned. Contrary to their website, there IS guest laundry available here.

The hotel was easily accessible and was easy in and easy out with many restaurants right across the street. The parking was free and plentiful and the grounds were pretty clean and attractive. I arrived in Hershey in my camper only to find that Hersheypark Camping closed their offices at 4 pm. I had been driving since 10 am that morning, and needed to rest. There was a Holiday Inn Express at the end of the road where the campground is located. That was my choice for the night. The hotel is very clean. The reception desk and main area are well lighted. I stayed with a group of friends for a weekend in Hershey and this hotel was perfect. We booked through Expedia, who gave us a problem when we needed to switch the date of our reservation. Jolene at the front desk was a serious problem solver and sorted out all of our Expedia issues.
