Our experience at the Comfort Inn in Hummelstown (basically Hershey) was excellent! It was newly renovated, so the room was very very nice. We were on the 6th floor looking out over a duck pond. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the mallards (18 we counted). We also realized there was a train in the distance which we could see from our window. It went past with a faint rumble about every half an hour night and day. My son was thrilled with this. It never blew its whistle, so I don't think it... Read more

I was looking for a less expensive place to stay when the family visits Hersheypark so I was not expecting the Four Seasons but our experience was terrible. The room had a musty/funky smell when we arrived. Turning on the air conditioner helped alleviate the problem somewhat but not completely. The hardware on the sliding bathroom door was falling off. We discovered the reason for the funky smell in the morning when we found the bath tub did not drain, so we ended up showering in ankle deep ... Read more

Also a free, hot breakfast each morning was so balanced & convenient. We have & will recommend this hotel to our friends. Thank you!!

A great place to spend the night before going to Hershey Chocolate World. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was your average fare. Breakfast room was nice and big. Rooms were pretty soundproof. We enjoyed a nice quiet night.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn during spring break to do activities at Hershey Park. We had a nice stay overall. I wasn't impressed by breakfast. The area was too small and the selection wasn't great. I filled out a survey for the hotel and the manager contacted me to see what they could do to improve, which was very nice. We did have to call for extra towels but they came right out of the laundry. The pool area was nice. One draw back was no gym on the premises and you can't really walk to the Go... Read more

This is an average hotel. The one thing that stands out is all the ducks in this off-the-road location. At last there are lots of restaurants near by. The hotel is just ok, but the breakfast is pretty good.

First thing is they need better signage to find the turn for the hotel! I do love the ducks as you come on the property, just be careful as you pull in. They are absolutely adorable!! The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good, my kids had quite a few issues with the waffle makers. No luck on 3 tries trying to get a decent waffle, but there were other options they could eat. As for the room, it was not as great as I would like it to be. The bathtub had quite a few black hairs left in i... Read more

After being gone all day we came back to the hotel at 9pm to first find our keys expired. After a trip back down to the front desk, 15 minutes later we opened the room to find it had never been cleaned. Back to the front desk to be told the housekeeping staff noted a do not disturb sign- funny the room didn't have one. Lots of apologies and nothing else. No manager on duty to speak with. Not until I stated the wait to have the room cleaned at 9:15 was unacceptable and I wasn't paying full price... Read more

We went last August and had a great stay, room was clean, and staff was very nice except for the breakfast staff. Very crabby, and treated us terribley. You have to watch out for ducks, because they have a duck food machine at the hotel, so the ducks are everywhere. It's in a very convenient location, got a flat tire while we were there, and brought it to Goodyear, which was right across the street.

Good value, clean, close to Hershey Park. No chocolate on your pillow though! No frills, just a nice clean hotel. Basic breakfast, muffins, waffles, yogurt, fruit. Very small pool, but clean. Great location near shops, restaurants, fast food. Would stay again.

Took 2 boys, ages 13 and 15, to Hershey Park for the weekend. This hotel is very close to the park so it made it very convenient. The room was large and comfortable with several conveniences like a mini fridge and fold out couch. The breakfast was convenient and hot but the breakfast area needed to be cleaned up better. The tables weren't wiped down and there didn't seem to be anyone taking care of that. The front desk staff wasn't the friendliest I have encountered but not the worst either... Read more

We've stayed here and the slight further comfort suites in Hummelstown (and slightly better) at least a half dozen times over the past few years. The selling points of this comfort inn are the <5 min drive from Hershey park, the Panera up the hill, the ducks to feed outside and the hot breakfast for a pretty affordable price. Well, the make your own waffles were worse than usual, the eggs and flat sausages were the only passable hot things, and the ducks were a bit more aggressive than usual. L... Read more

I don't expect a lot when staying at a budget hotel; just a clean room and basic amenities. Well, I got the clean room. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. We went down to check out the indoor pool. It's a decent size. No hot tub though. When we went back up to the room to shower we discovered there was shampoo but no conditioner. While this property was fairly highly-priced on a Sunday night (and the most expensive of four different hotels we stayed at on a longer road trip to Maine), we had no complaints about the location - just five minutes down the street from Hershey Park. There's not a whole lot of dining nearby - Applebee's, Panera, a couple smaller fast food chains - but it's an easy stop off the highway. The room was clean, spacious and quiet. We stayed here for 2 nights with our family and extended family. Rooms were big and roomy and beds were comfortable. We stayed at this hotel for one night while visiting Hersheypark. It was very convenient and had many food options available nearby. The carpet looks a bit worn and probably needs replaced soon. Also the plumbing fixtures in the bathroom could use a little updating. Overall the room was clean and comfortable. The check in staff was friendly and helpful. The free breakfast included was adequate. For the area and convenience to local attractions, it was a worthwhile experience.

We booked this hotel on the ratings that we read and were disappointed. The room was small and dark. There was an odor in the room that wasn't great. The shower drain was slow so you were immediately standing in gross water upon getting in the shower. The breakfast buffet was nothing special and our first morning the place was packed and there were no employees around and all the trash cans were overflowing, not appetizing. The hotel is very close to the park and offers a nice breakfast. We were 1 adult and 2 teenage boys and I was worried that the room would not be adequate but with the fold out couch and 2 double beds, it worked out perfect. The indoor pool made for a nice way to relax at the end of a long day at the amusement park. There is some aging to the hotel but overall it is still very nice just a little costly.

This place has seen better days. It looks nice from the outside. Clearly the lobby and breakfast bar has been updated to three star. The pool and the rooms are as close to sub par as I've seen in a while. There is no, none, or anything redeeming in the rooms. At $160 per night it's a RIP off. Negatives: shower was a bit weak, the bathroom needed some touch-up paint, it was weird that the heavy drapes were only decorative so there was a 3' gap that only had sheer curtains filtering the outside light, and the Internet was a bit slow, apparently not able to handle a full house.
