Needed a convenient hotel in this area and am very pleased. Our room was clean and quiet and the amenities are wonderful. Coffee, teas and lemon iced water are in the lobby all day and eve. Fresh cookies and popcorn are there for the taking. The staff was well versed in the area and most cordial. Breakfast was included and they offered fresh fruit, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, biscuit and gravy and waffles. A variety of breads rolls and pastries. Yogurt, juices and cereals.

Ask for mountainside rooms. The view is awesome. The highway side is a little loud from traffic noise. If the A/C would have stayed on the fan covered this noise. However the unit turned off every 5 minutes. The room had a moldy smell to it. But the bed was nice and comfy. All in all an ok stay. I wouldn't opt for this place longer then a night or two.

Stayed on business. Room A/C would not cool the room. Kitchen area was too small. Elevator kept malfunctioning the whole 5 days during my stay. This hotel has really gone downhill during the 6 years that I"ve been going to this area. The Fairfield Inn has surpassed it.

I've stayed here for work. My room has always been very clean Plenty of parking and convenient to I-81. The front desk staff is very friendly and check in/out is very quick. Breakfast is standard Hampton breakfast. Great view of the valley on the north/west. Some interstate noise on the south/east. Rates are very good.

The view from the room is incredible! Pay the extra $10-$20 to book a room with a view! We are a frequent Hampton visitor and have been at many locations along the Eastern Coast but this location is definitely one of the best! Manager Todd was very helpful finding a room with a view for us last minute on our way back up to Central NY. Even though we were only there later in the day and left early the next morning, it was worth booking a room with a view. And we ate next door at the Top of the 80... Read more

Stayed here again in late June, 2016 (probably our 3rd or 4th time) and if anything, it's better than ever. We've always stayed on the highway side -- we tend to get in late, you can't watch the view in your sleep & it's cheaper -- and we've never been bothered by any highway noise. They still have the friendly & helpful staff, the comfy beds, the spotless baths, the best free breakfast bar we've seen in many years of travel . . . and that breathtaking view out over the Conyngham Valley.

This was our first visit to this motel, and we plan on returning on future trips traveling up 81. It was very convenient and easy to find from the highway, and nice that it was next door to a good restaurant--we could just walk a short way from our room to the dining room! Clean and pleasant room, helpful staff. All the things that are desirable for a weary traveler. Breakfast very adequate for an "included" extra. To add to the pleasure of the stay--the view of the lovely valley below.

We had over 45 rooms booked-with over 80 guests staying (some for 8+ nights). Carol was very accommodating and did everything possible to make our stay amazing. Room was very comfy, clean, and the rooms with a view have a great view of the mountains (ours had a king size bed and very comfy big chair). The patio outside is so relaxing and you get to see the sun set behind the mountains (if the weather's nice). Desk manager was extremely accommodating. The hotel was clean and comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast eggs were just about the best I've ever had at a complimentary breakfast ever. The beds were actually a little softer than I prefer but still very comfortable. Only thing that I would have liked are queen beds versus double.

The Hampton Inn just off Interstate 81 at exit 145 in Pennsylvania is nice and convenient to travelers. It is well maintained with comfortable beds. The staff is friendly and will work with you if there are any issues. Will stay there again if in the area.

Property is old, worn and needs a deep cleaning. People were nice, but place needs a corporate refresh. It is not a matter of housekeeping. Everything about property was ok but it is worn and stained carpets qreally set a downward tone.

extremely disappointed!! I booked a room with a fire place, why would I do that? because I wanted a fireplace!! well we got here it wouldn't light but wow the gas sure filled the room. we called the front desk, what we were told was maintenance left for the day. WHAT!?!? I have never ran into a hampton inn that couldn't or wouldn't help. the front desk said she would try to call maintenance. we had to leave the room for more than an hour due the gas filling the room. we did this on our own. no b... Poor service, AC broken, smelly room not clean and fresh, crummy breakfast, cold and poor selection. Very disappointing, I've been staying at this location for the past 10-12 years for business, this was absolutely the worst experience of any Hampton I've stayed at.

Clean and comfortable hotel conveniently located in a good spot for passing through. The hotel had a Friendly staff and it also had ample free parking. The breakfast was above average for a Hampton Inn and the price was a good value.

smoke detector in my room was expired, it was manufactured 11-18-92, smoke detectors should be replaced every 10 years, so this one is well passed due, as I would guess the rest in the whole hotel are. It seems to me that this hotel does not take its guests safety that seriously, thank goodness there was no fire while I was there and no I did not mention it to the manager on duty because I feel it would have fallen on deaf ears.

The Hampton Inn-Hazleton is an OK hotel in a great location. The views off the back of the hotel were breathtaking. The adjacent "Top of the 80's" restaurant and bar was excellent and made the experience better. The hotel itself was fairly nice. But, the bed was uncomfortable, especially by Hilton property standards, and it tainted the overall experience. Parking was good. I would likely go back, because of the location, and restaurant. But, I would make sure I had a king room, and I would check... Read more

A nice hotel very convenient to highway. The staff does what they need to do, the breakfast is quite nice. The complimentary beverages and cookies in the lobby are a nice touch. The bath is nice and quite clean, and the bedding luxe.

The hotel was clean. The beds and pillows comfy. 24 hour coffee was tasty and much appreciated. The restaurant attached to the hotel has delicious food. The bartender makes an awesome Cosmo. He was also kind enough to make some toast at 8 pm for my daughter who had a stomach bug. Already made reservation for my April visit.

Hazleton's Top of the 80s Hampton is a great hotel with an amazing view of the valley. The staff is friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to make my 90-year-old mom's stay welcoming and enjoyable. Thanks!

I stopped here overnight and very much enjoyed my visit. I decided to spoil myself a little and booked the fireplace suite, which isn't a suite as such, but a large room with a wet bar and gas fireplace. It had been a long, difficult week, and falling asleep to the blue light of the fire was wonderful. (It would be great if gas fireplaces had sound effects so they crackled and popped like a wood fire!) I had checked in and reserved my room in advance, so check in was quick and easy. Hotel... This hotel is our first night destination on our way to Florida. The restaurant through a breezeway from the hotel is very convenient with a great ambiance, view and great food. Nice to eat in a restaurant which is not "fast food" and is good quality.

I travel often and consider myself a bit of a hotel snob. This was my second stay at this hotel and would stay again. The room was very clean and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The complimentary cookies are a bonus!
