Room was not ready until 345. Staff at desk was rude. No other room was offered and no upgrades were offered. When staff noticed I was sitting in the lobby and checking at the desk often enough that they knew my name without asking when checking readiness of room another room should have been offered or upgrade given to another room.

Location and the staff are the reason to stay here. It's a great hotel. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Location to downtown Harrisburg is perfect. Parking is a little tricky. You can park yourself or use valet. I parked myself. Ramp behind the hotel. Down a very narrow alley. Thanks for a great stay!

Very nice hotel in downtown Harrisburg. I used HHonors points for 1 nite to stay in the Executive Tower. We had a really good experience. The room was well maintained; the staff was very helpful. The Executive Lounge had great desserts in the evening and an OK breakfast in the morning. The Ad Lib restaurant is a contemporary tapas-style. It was very nice, but not our usual choice for dinner. There are many other restaurants in easy walking distance.

Another great stay at the Harrisburg Hilton. Stayed 2 nights for a conference and everything was great as usual. Friendly and helpful staff and clean facilities. The really cool thing was the Hilton App on my iPhone. I used this to check-in the day of my arrival, pick my room and then use my phone as a key to enter my room. I wouldn't have even had to go to the front desk except I needed to validate my parking. Really convenient and helpful.

Stayed here in preparation for visits to the State Capitol. Rooms and amenities are certainly adequate, lobby bar is well designed and surprisingly busy. This place seems to be the Capitol's "den" with groups and lobbyists either staying here or convening here in the morning in preparation for their legislative visits. We had a very nicely appointed room with a nice bed and a good sized bathroom. The hotel restaurant we went to was not the "upscale" one but the "down to earth" place. I have been coming to this Hotel every year for the Dutchman Bowling Tourney since 2011. The first 2 years was great and you did feel pampered, the staff really cared. However something changed, Starbucks left and the hall you walk down from the parking garage was striped bare, no chairs, loveseats or painting; just didn't feel like a Hilton. Everything about this Hilton was fine, except for the fact that we were at a convention with several hundred people--all of whom would want to go back up to their rooms during break times. The three poor, struggling, slow elevators couldn't keep up with that kind of traffic, making this a great place to stay...but not such a great place to have a conference.

I've knocked down my overall rating for the hotel by a point ... the room while nice and spacious was disappointing. Not like the renovated room we enjoyed at the same hotel last year in 2015. The bedroom had a stale smell of old cigarette smoke and the faucet in the sink was not connected properly and I was afraid it would fall out and we'd have a mini-flood. My son and I stayed at the Hilton Harrisburg on our way back from a busy and fun filled day at Knobel's Amusement Park. The hotel was incredibly clean and elegant. The lobby was quite impressive and we were immediately greeted by staff who quickly recognized me as a Hilton Honors member and took care of getting us checked into our room quickly and efficiently. The room had a beautiful view of the river and of the minor league baseball stadium. This was particularly nice as the stadium set ... Read more

Stayed with the Hershey Park package. Great deal. Park admittance, parking at hotel and breakfast. Rooms were very nice, breakfast was exceptional for a hotel (I'm a gold honors member which means I have stayed in a lot of Hilton hotels). Staff was efficient and knowledgeable. Restaurant accommodated our larger group of 6 easily. Lobby is very comfortable and quite. Excecutive suite was a plus.

Our stay at the Hilton was great. The room was very clean and up to date, the staff was helpful and very friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again or recommend this hotel to a friend. We were part of an ice hockey team attending a tournament near by. Although we didn't eat at the restaurant the menu was very inviting (my son wanted pizza and burgers).

I stayed here one night for a business meeting. Had stayed here before and always found it to be nice. Arrival was easy; I self parked in the adjoining garage. Lobby is nicely decorated and warm. Adjacent bar and restaurant is very inviting. Check in was quick and friendly. The place is very neat, organized and very clean. My room was a nice size, nicely furnished, and very comfortable. This is our second time here and enjoyed our time even more than the first time. The service was great and the hotel was spotless. The gym is pretty good for a hotel and the pool was nice too. The hotel is in a great location. A short walk to the Broad St market and lots of cool places to visit. The breakfast is one of the best I can recall. Everything was über fresh. We are very pleased with our experience and will be back.

Lively restaurant, enjoyed a glass of wine by the gas fireplace after dinner. Did not swim but pool was a good size for indoor/hotel pool. Would stay here again. Nice having a fridge in the room. This is a full service hotel located in a good part of the city within walking distance to lots of restaurants and bars all of which are open late. Lots of night life and very lively area. We have stayed at this hotel multiple times and the area night life has always been lively even during the week. The hotel restaurant and bar stay open late. Parking at the hotel is a bargain at $10 per night self parking and $20 per night valet. Self Parking and Valet have in and out privileges which is great... Read more

I visited this hotel for business. This bar is good to take care of our requirement and wonderful support. If it is possible, adding the bar menu is better for this hotel. The Tablet menu is wonderful to understand visually. Foreign country person can understand easily. I recommend to use this tablet menu for all of Hilton restraint. So that I can take care of all of foreign county person in this group hotel.

Staff was courteous when I checked in. Facility is very appealing and the room clean. The wifi signal, however, is very weak and/or slow. Finally gave up and just using data on my phone. Room service, while good, sent us the wrong item. Not enough time to switch and make it to my daughter's game in time. Wouldn't be as much of a problem if breakfast wasn't $50 for two people. I am almost okay with $12.50 for eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast, but $4 for a half pint of milk is ridiculous. A... Read more

Convenient downtown location. Nice lobby with bar, restaurant and outdoor seating accommodation. Meeting space was flexible and the Staff was helpful when needed for making changes to meeting space as needed. Only glitch to the experience is the parking garage, but that is common problem with center city locations.

The downtown Harrisburg Hilton provides a reasonably priced weekend stay for vacationers. A great location, near trendy restaurants and other entertainment venues, the Hilton Harrisburg is hard to beat. We ate at the hotel's lobby restaurant, which has been renovated since our last stay. While we preferred the previous design and menu, the service was decent. Rooms are comfortable; we like the plush king beds. Amenities are pleasant as is the staff. I travel so much for work that these little things count a lot to me! Thanks to Dan :). I also received great information for food delivery. The room itself was spacious and kind of upgraded, although, I would have left out the Gold Wallpaper that gives it a dated look. And... I like giving hotels and restaurants great reviews. But in this case I can't. I've waited 2 1/2 weeks for a response to a note I left at the front desk for the general manager, but I've received no reply. So here is my review. The building is old, but the bar, restaurant and rooms have been renovated. It looks tasteful and modern. The location is good. The bar and restaurant are understaffed...the wait times for food and drink are unacceptably long. The omelet bar is a joke. It took 2 o... Read more

Staying at the Harrisburg Hilton is usually by default only. If given another "decent" hotel choice i.e Marriott, no one would stay here. The rooms are clean, but very out dated. Hilton tries but misses on being trendy and modern. The beds are uncomfortable and the pillows are flat and old (I tried for ever to fluff them up). The room TV is a small semi flat screen Philips: unlike large trey flat screen LG ones in other hotels. In my opinion, this hotel would go out of business or have to renova... Read more

I stayed here for 2 nights for business. I had never been there before. When I arrived I tried to valet park and they told me parking was around the corner. I turned into this alley and found a garage to the right. There are no signs that identify this as the Hilton. I hauled my luggage to the elevator and had no idea where to go. (again no signs) When I got to the bottom floor is was dingy, dark and smelly. I had to carry my suitcases up a flight of stairs. I finally found my way to the... Read more

First, there are not a lot of choices in downtown Harrisburg. I usually stay in Mechanicsburg but really wanted to spend some time downtown, so I booked at the Hilton. I used the mobile check-in option and Hilton allows you to choose your own room. The room was fine. They had smoking rooms which is nice for smokers. It is centrally located and many restaurants within walking distance. This was the worst experience since having housekeeping steal from us in a hotel in Williamsburg 15 years ago. We stopped over in Harrisburg to visit the National Civil War Museum, and the Hilton was only a short distance from it, so we stayed there. It is a very dowdy, uninspiring hotel. The multi-level parking lot is poorly designed and the walk from the parking lot to the reception at the hotel is circuitous. We had access to the Executive Lounge which had a nice view over the Susquehanna rivers. As did our room.

I have stayed at the Harrisburg Hilton many times for conferences and meetings. Clean, comfortable rooms and friendly, accommodating staff. My only beef from my recent stay was the internet connectivity, which was unreliable and slow when there was a connection. I resorted to using my cell phone. I don't understand why hotels that cater to business sometimes seem to consider their guests computing needs as an afterthought. I'm sure I'll be back soon, hopeful for a steady, strong connection.

Location, location. Since I prefer not to drive if I can take a train, this hotel was ideal. I was able to walk from Amtrak station, and take care of business at the State Capitol 3 blocks away. The hotel is located on Harrisburg's small restaurant row, which provides a a few varied choices for dining. My room was fairly plain, but very comfortable. Definitely the place to stay if you are doing business in downtown Harrisburg.
