Needed a last minute place to stay one a very time-crunched trip to Pittsburg for a collage graduation. We stopped at Hampton in of Harrisburg, PA and were immediately impressed at the kind service of Hazel at the front desk. She accommodated us to the best of her abilities and we were more than thrilled with the room. It was very clean and has everything you could need. Had to leave at 0400 so I did not get to experience the lovely pool and fitness center. This hotel deserves a great rating and... Read more

The hotel overall is good execept the noiy of rooms facing I-81. I was in Harrisburg for a training and stayed in the hotel for two nights. The first night, I had bad sleep due to the noise from I-81 whole night. The second night, I was too tired to care about the noise. The breakfast is ok. Limited options but serves the purposes. If you are going to stay in this hotel, you might call ahead to ask for the rooms not facing I-81 if you are sensitive of the noise.

We stayed at this Hampton on the way to NYC at the end of May. The rooms were nice. The breakfast was pretty good. But the most impressive thing about this place was the friendliness of the staff. I was very impressed with the way the greeted us and talked to us like it was second-nature, not forced. I'd stay there again with no problem.

This is a beautiful hotel and centrally located to all of the attractions in Harrisburg. We have friends that live close by and this is why we chose this hotel. It wasn't a far drive to Hershey Park and much cheaper than staying closer to Hershey. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast room and food was great. The pool was very clean. The Hotel is quite new and in very good shape with silent air condition. Especially the Lady at the reception was very nice and helped us with tips for restaurants and for shopping. Sorry, I forgot her name, but J.F., the manager, knows who I mean. The breakfast was very much plastic tools, but still good quality. We missed a bar, but were sent to the hotel bar next door. A good recommendation, reasonable price. Thomas from Germany.

I hosted a national car convention here, and the staff was absolutely amazing. Every detail attended to, and in a friendly way that made my guests feel like family. Everyone raved to me about them. They went out of their way to make us feel at home, despite being completely sold out and very busy. They even made up their own check-in goodies for our group. I mistakenly booked this hotel, thinking it was the one further up 81 at Grantville. I was really upset because one side of the hotel backs right up to Interstate 81. I tried to change the reservation to the one at Grantville but it was sold out and I had missed the cancellation time for this one. So we stayed. It was ok but not my favorite Hampton Inn on 81. This hotel would be perfect if not for two things: the proximity to the highway is insane. You can literally see the truck drivers (and there are a ton of them on 81) facial expressions as they drive past. You're that close! I found that downloading a white noise app on my phone helped a bit. What adds insult to injury is the beds. Omg the BEDS!?! Who chose these things?
