We started staying here a few years back when they first opened, was a big step up from the dump we use to stay in up the road. If you don't mind the kids running up and down the halls and in and out of the pool/play area your'e good. Rooms are a good size and clean,( I don't get the 1/2 size pillows??) Staff is friendly, I didn't like the fact the pool and play area was only open till 10 pm when people are coming back from the park with jacked up kids,so they run the halls. Free breakfast is s... These people take great care of you. My company has roomed us here several times and the manager is extraordinarily accommodating. There are plenty of distractions for kids. Which means families with kids come here. As I write this I'm listening to what sounds like two feral children sprinting about above me and several others in the hallway. Things usually quiet down by 9:30 or 11PM. The breakfast is not great, as continental breakfasts go. But it's free, I don't know what you expect for t... Read more

Two friends and I stayed here on April 30/May 1, 2016. We were in town for 2 AHL hockey playoff games in Hershey. The hotel is in a nice quiet location. The room was spacious and comfortable. I would stay here again, for certain! The only knock I might have was the computers in the buisness center, as they were both achingly slow, and there really wasn't much on there for virus protection, so I kept my time on those computers brief.

My husband and I along with our 2 kids (age 9 and 6) stayed here last weekend while in town celebrating my birthday with a trip to Hershey Park. The hotel is a close driving distance to the park, which is really great. The hotel was really clean and quiet. We stayed on the 2nd floor which has a game room that consists of a few arcade games, a small min golf course, basketball hoop and pool table. The hotel pool is PERFECT for the kids (and adults too! :) as there is a water slide. My kids couldn... Read more

The Mainstay Grantville is a solid, basic, longer stay hotel. I'm here on a two week business trip with my company. It's clean, the beds promote good sleep, the wi fi works, and there's a daily breakfast. It has a microwave, full size fridge, 2 burner range, dishwasher, pots, pans, dishes, and cutlery,so you can cook for yourself. The staff is uniformly friendly. That matters! It has a mini-gym and a pool, and even a miniature gold course. There's a decent Italian/pizza restaurant adjacent,... Read more

Bottom Line: if you need a place to stay and you don't intend to use any of the common areas, this is a good choice at a reasonable rate. In fact, if I were just reviewing the room itself, I'd give this place 3 or 4 stars. The walls in our room were dirty in a couple places, but I'm not touching the walls frequently and I don't have a young child who is (nor am I a germaphobe), so I can overlook that. There was paint peeling in the bathroom too, but again, the rate was good, so not a deal brea... Read more

Took my 14 year old for a weekend away and concert at Hershey Park stadium. The hotel offers a great deal of amenities for the price. Was clean and comfortable for family though better suited for families with younger children. Not upscale but if your looking for great value for your money in close proximity to Hershey attractions, this is your place.

My mom and I stayed 3 nights here and we were very happy. The location was great! The room we had was very large and clean. The fact that there was a kitchen was also amazing! Almost full size fridge/freezer, microwave, compact dishwasher, flat top two-burner stove and real dishes/silverware. Beds were comfy and the bathroom was spacious too with plenty of towels. The free breakfast was ample. Hot prepared oatmeal with 3 toppings, fresh fruit (apples and oranges), pancakes, sausage, scram... Read more

We stayed here last weekend while our daughter played in the Hershey Invitational. The rooms were clean and a decent size. They had a nice kitchen set up in the room that we were not expecting. The pool was very small and extremely loud. The non-stop bouncing of basketballs from the court on the floor above you was unbearable and there was so much chlorine in the pool that it was burning our eyes just sitting next to the pool. The continental breakfast was definitely nothing to write home about.... Read more

Checked in at 4 and the gentleman was more interested in what his co worker was doing while checking in his guest than helping us. He just typed something and handed us a key and asked to see our credit card then went about his carrying on with his co worker. How about at least telling us to have a good stay? Room was nice. It faced the parking lot and was quiet. Bed was comfortable, bathroom is a bit dark. We used the pool, water temp was chilly and could have been cleaner. The pool towels are... Read more

At check in, the staff made a big deal about this being a zero tolerance noise hotel. That being said, this was one of the noisiest hotels I've ever stayed in! Loud families and children running in the halls at all hours of the night. The doors slammed and echoed so loudly that they woke me up! The air conditioner was very loud and inefficient. Very hard to regulate temperature in room. Room was not very clean either, we found an old pair of flip flops under the bed. We turned them in at ... Read more

When I booked the room via telephone directly, I was not asked if I preferred a King or Double room. Since I said I was bringing 3 kids with me, I assumed I was booked for a Double with a fold out sofa- WRONG. When I called to confirm the reservation the day before our visit, I was told we were booked for a King. I again explained to the employee that I was bringing 3 kids (2 were mine, one was a friend ). She said there weren't any Double rooms available, but that the sofa could sleep 2. I ... Read more

This was a pretty good hotel for the money. Like most of the hotels we have been in on this trip, it was a bit older, but in decent shape. It had two washer dryer combos which came in handy. It was located close enough to Hershey to make it a convenient drive and was a better value than the motels in Hershey.

We've stayed here many times before. Very expensive for a Saturday in a July. We would not normally pay these outrageous prices, but we had a concert to go to in Hershey. I do not like that the price is jacked up that much just because it is number one - July, number two - a Saturday, and number three - they know a concert is going on. I think it is a little dishonest and I have gotten the same hotel, the same room for more than one third less the price. That being said, the hotel is good. ... Read more

The Mainstay Suites customer service was excellent. It's 10 to 15 min away from Hershey Park. The suite was roomy and clean. They had Indoor basketball, swimming pool, and miniature golf. There's an Italian restaurant next door that's delicious.

This is an all suite hotel. We had three rooms, two were 2 queen bed suites and the other was a king suite. Our request for adjoining rooms was not honored. Both room types included a pull out sofa. The 2 queen bed suite was one room and the king suite had a door between the bedroom and the sitting room and kitchen. The only mirror in the 2 queen suite was in the bathroom, which made getting ready more difficult. The rooms have a mini kitchen with stovetop, microwave, and refrigerator. The onl... Read more

This hotel should apply the "SMILE" sign to face those behind the desk not just facing toward your customers. . I find that rude as employees and managers should take the initiative to make their customers feel welcomed. Our double rooms great in size and beds comfortable. However the cleanliness is not there. Just look at closet door slots. Also they do not have any dish cleaning detergent or rags to wash dirty dishes so we had to buy our own. We had a broken toilet that would not flush s... Read more
