Gorgeous lodges! So peaceful and secluded, yet you feel like you are still in an upscale hotel with a camping feel. Room came with a charming fireplace, and we didn't even want to leave our bed! So plush and comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate to come back.

The shower and toilet had such a lack of water pressure that it was frustrating. I had to take an hour long shower in the trickle to get clean. Lovely place but I can't recommend. The furnishings were lovely but the lack of water pressure made it an ordeal.

People....awesome. Location......awesome. Setting......awesome. This place rocks. I left wanting to live there. Quiet at night, great morning view. Worth every penny. The lodges have a recently built rustic vibe. Super clean place to recoup after a day on the battlefield.

My fiance found these lodges while looking for a place to stay while in Gettysburg. We stayed in Lieutenants Quarters. It was wonderful, spacious and clean. It had a kitchen but no stove or oven. It did have a microwave and coffee pot so life was good! Bedroom was large and the bed was comfortable. There was a large bathroom. There was also a lockout attached so that gives you another bedroom and bathroom. The views were beautiful. The property has hiking trails and its own fishing lake. Unfortu... Read more

We stayed in a cabin with bedroom, living room/dinette, bath. Sleeps six if you include the sofa bed. Very clean and comfortable bed. Bathroom was spacious. We loved our view. The cabin was nicely decorated in a rustic way with high ceilings and wood beams. Only complaint was the breakfast. $5.95 per person should get you eggs and meat in my opinion. The fruit was good.

We stayed here as our base of operations for vacationing in Gettysburg (duh), Antietam and Harper's Ferry. The lodges are a handful of miles outside of downtown Gettysburg and just outside the battlefield. It is also less than an hour from both Antietam and Harper's Ferry. The location worked out very well. Free Wi-Fi is available, of which I did not take advantage. Contrary to what is posted on TripAdvisor, breakfast is NOT free, but is available for a charge of about $6.00. I found this... Read more

We wanted something off the beaten path, both geographically and brand-wise. This was a delightful choice. Spacious cabin had great period furnishings for desk, settee, etc, but very modern for mattress, couch, kitchen. A great combo for atmosphere and comfort. Didn't try the electric fire place. One issue is no screens on the windows, and we learned too late that there is a type of flying bug that loves to sneak into the place. We killed a handful before going to bed since they were favoring th... Read more

Came with the kids to your Gettysburg. Loved the cabin! Comfortable queen beds, nice little galley kitchen with plates, silverware, microwave, keurig. AC worked great, we were very comfortable. Short 5 min drive into town and visitors center. Great for family.

Excellent place to stay while in Gettysburg. Located a couple miles outside of town right by the NPS. We rented the 2 bedroom lodge. Very clean. It had a refrigerator and microwave. Had it's own private lake.

The Lodges was the perfect marriage of style, location, value and service on our recent Gettysburg trip. The spacious rooms were well-appointed with historical prints and upscale furnishings. Unfamiliar with the area, I had a slight concern about being out too far. In reality, the location was a wonderful balance of serenity and accessibility to area attractions. We could visit the sites and then relax amidst the bucolic surroundings fishing, walking trails or watching the sunset over the hillsi... Read more

I chose the Lodges at Gettysburg for our weekend getaway to Gettysburg. I liked that it was outside of town and quiet. It was about a 15 minute drive to town, so it was not bad. I booked a Corporals Quarters which are rooms attached to the larger Lieutenant Lodge (not my top choice but we were didnt want to spend to much $$ - the single lodges were more money). To my surprise, when we arrived, we had been given a free upgrade to a Lieutenant's Lodge which was basically a suite with a kitchenette... Read more

The Lieutenant's Lodge (FL) that we rented was nice, clean and the people there were friendly, but the sofa bed my husband and I slept on was the worst bed of any kind (including the ground with just a sleeping bag) that I've ever slept on. It wasn't level, had huge bumps in it and squeaked with every move. Nice small kitchen with two stools to eat at. Microwave, but no toaster. The kids enjoyed their room though and the bathroom was nice with a full tub/shower.

My daughter had found The Lodges for us for a recent trip to Gettysburg with her children. If you like to be right in the heart of things, it might not work for you, as they are a few easy miles outside of town, but for us, it was a perfect choice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The cabins are immaculate, nicely decorated and comfortable, with a huge modern bathroom, and in a beautiful, peaceful setting. The Lodges was a lovely place to land after a long drive and the grounds are lovely and very relaxing. Only negatives were very limited choice of food on offer in the bar/cafe and nothing really happening for breakfast, also there was a lot of machi nery and earthmoving equipment that started upo quite early and was quite loud near the cabin. I would highly recommend this a place to stay and unwind and the rooms were well appointed and very neat and tidy.

The floors were dirty, there was dust all over the chair rails, the bathroom had dark flecks of something all around the sink area, there was hair in the sink. It did not appear the cabin was routinely cleaned.

The Lodges are about a 10 minute drive from downtown Gettysburg. The cabins have a small kitchenette that contains dishes and silverware but no place to cook. They have a small refrigerator and microwave. There is no restaurant on site, nor is there a place to buy snacks. Make sure you have packed all your snacks. The website states there is a small tavern on site for their guests but it was not open when we were there. We had a good check in experience but other family members stated the fr... Read more

I think when some people heard "cabins" and were a little concerned but everyone was amazed how beautiful and well appointed the cabins were. There in a microwave and refrigerator in the rooms. I had never heard of this hotel, but there were solid reviews on TripAdvisor, so I figured we'd give it a try. I'm so glad we did! This was our family's first trip to Gettysburg - with two teenage boys. We stayed in a Lieutenant's Lodge, which included a sofa-bed, so no one had to double-up. The rooms were clean, spacious, and everything was in working order (including 2 TV's). There was even a small balcony, and it was nice and quiet. There are some nice hotels and B&B's in Gettysburg, though they pack people in pretty tight and everything looks a bit rundown. But the thing that keeps us from staying in the downtown area are the Harley motorcycles. Harley Central is a stone's throw away in York and the town welcomes bikers with open arms. And boy do they come, and come, and come. The racket is unnerving and gets truly bothersome after a few hours. They are EVERYWHERE! If you want to ride your noisy hog to a bike friendl... Read more

My fiance and I toured this venue last week. What an odd experience. Throughout the tour, Melanie was very curt (we had to ask questions to get any information) and expected us to lead the way when we had no idea where we were going. Even worse, when we asked questions she would wrinkle up her nose and respond as if she couldn't believe the dumb questions we were asking. We have stayed a few times at the Lodges at Gettysburg. They are very nice individual cabins with a living room and a separate bedroom. They also have a small kitchen area. They sit high up on top of a hill. The lodge is known for hosting Weddings on the weekends. Quiet place often you will see deer behind the cabins. This is a short distance from President Eisenhower's farm. It is a ten to fifteen minute drive to the Gettysburg Square.

Was there for a wedding over the weekend and the entire place was gorgeous. The bartender kind of cut us off a little too early and I did hear multiple complaints from fellow guest(the groom from the wedding!) about her being rude and not very assertive when her services were requested(from paying customers). But the rest of the experience was amazing. I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking to relax in a beautiful setting and in a private lodge.

The lodges were nice, but we didn't expect to have the smaller side of the cabin rented out to other people; the walls were very thin. It would be a great for a family and open the connecting door. If your a coffee drinker, pack your own coffee. They had a 12-cup coffee maker in the room with only 2 4-cup pre-packaged coffee packets (and, it was nasty coffee). Beautiful area in the fall, and just enough out of town.

Everything about our stay was relaxing, remarkably given to transitional ease, and reminiscent of some of the higher end time shares we've stayed in throughout the years. It was our first opportunity to stay here, even though we visit Gettysburg quite regularly. Fearing rooms would be at a premium during Remembrance Days, we were exceedingly surprised to have happened upon as well as stay at your facility. Be assured, we will make it a regular point of staying with you in the future.

One of the main reason we liked the Lodges at Gettysburg was that it was outside of Gettysburg away from the hup bub of Gettysburg during special events. We were there during the Remembrance Day Celebrations and just a few minutes away from Gettysburg which help get away from the crowd.
