We stayed at this Hampton Inn on May 14th of this month. We traveled to Gettysburg for a short family get away...of course on College Graduation Weekend! However, I must say that we didn't feel overwhelmed and the crowds were very manageable. The Hampton Inn was clean and convenient to all the attractions. Not walking distance, but a short drive. We enjoyed the pool and the breakfast was more than adequate. You had a variety of hot and cold choices and it was kept replenished, even with a packed... Read more

My husband and I recently stayed at this Hampton Inn for our family weekend in Gettysburg. We always stay at a Hilton property because we love the service and they are always clean and comfortable. This stay was no different. The room was ready and clean upon our arrival and the staff was very friendly. On our second day, we arrived back at the hotel at 4:00 to rest and freshen up before dinner. Our room had not been cleaned. It was disappointing but we figured it was fine, we would let the fron... Clean, comfortable accommodations, very helpful staff - gave us firsthand suggestions that proved to be helpful and right on and made our holiday stay much more inclusive and enjoyable. We always look for Hampton Inns when we travel because we know that we can count on comfortable room, a decent breakfast and service and help when we needed.

The hotel was a short drive from all historical attractions and downtown. The kids always love the Hampton Inn for breakfast. It helped us get our day of sight seeing started right away. The pool is a bit small and the hot tub looked like it needed a good scrubbing.

Clean, nice rooms, breakfast well done, friendly staff. What more could you ask for? Maybe best of all, the "100% satisfaction guaranteed" sign prominently displayed. Now I am trying to use up the 200 characters. Hope I am getting close. I guess I need to type more. The 200 characters is a GREAT source of dissatisfaction.

I liked this place but the parking lot filled up quickly and I felt lucky to be able to park at all. The hotel was very busy when I visited. It was within walking distance to a Walmart which worked out well for us. it was a little bit of a drive to get to the center of town or get to the battlefields, but not difficult to do so. On the other hand it was close to a major highway.

The hotel is right on Route 15, close to the outlets and the historic district. The room was clean and comfy with no issues. Unfortunately there was a large middle school group staying at the same time. This made breakfast time a crowded experience. How did the staff handle it? No mention, no apologies for a wait for food that should have been arranged in sufficient quantity ahead of time (since the school check out time was no secret). Next stay, I will ask when the group is checking out and a... Read more

This hotel is very nice, with reasonable rates. It is only a short distance from the Battlefield, as well as the town of Gettysburg. The fitness center is small, but sufficient. Cardio machines only, no weights. The breakfast is nicely prepared, and there are good options. You might have to go outside the hotel if you have really specific dietary needs, but otherwise it's fine for most people.

This hotel seemed like a newer hotel in the area. Our stay, as well as that of our entire wedding party and guests, was very pleasant. The location was away from Gettysburg proper, but conveniently not too far away. Thankfully we received block pricing. I had been staying in a beautiful Bed and Breakfast that was less expensive, but joined the family in the Hampton Inn for the duration of the wedding festivities.

Very clean. Very quiet. Good service and very accessible from the freeway/highway. Was on our way through from Washington D.C. to NYC. It is mere minutes to town - but be prepared to travel THROUGH town to get to the Gettysburg battle site (if that's where you are going). Otherwise, this is a good stop on your way to other places. Good but typical complementary breakfast that includes OJ, coffee, breakfast cereals and pancakes. Beds are quite hard (I prefer a softer bed).

We had a wonderful experience checking in and a delightful stay. The room was beautiful. The pool and Hot tub are lovely and clean. The breakfast had different choices every morning and was clean and the girls doing the breakfast bar worked hard to satisfy your needs. I would return here whenever I am in the area.

This is an excellent choice if you want a worry free stay. The staff is second to none and the property is superb. From the time you arrive you are treated with kind dignity. The cleaning staff are very conscientious and thorough. As for the breakfast, well you don't expect 5 star food from the hotel breakfast, but this is as good as any hotel breakfast you will find. The coffee in the lobby is always hot and the cookies at night are a real treat when you are away from home! I fully recommend th... Read more

Carpets in hallways appear a little unclean. It appears a level is being added. Construction noise is loud on the second floor. Very inconvenient to check in as you have to back out several yards to the parking lot. The back entrance is closed due to the construction. I would avoid this place for a few months until the construction is compiled.

This was the best choice I have made in a very long time. We always visit Hilton properties but this was, by far, the best in recent history. The staff at the front desk could not have been more helpful in suggesting places to eat and things to do. The room (king suite) was so far beyond my expectations. The layout, spaciousness and cleanliness was superb. Being able to access the bathroom from either the living area or the bedroom was so convenient. Great concept. There were renovations o... We stayed here for two nights to enjoy Gettysburg in the Fall. We had a great trip, and the Hampton was a great place to stay. It is not right downtown, but we knew that, and it was no problem to drive the short drive to the sights. The front desk staff called me the day before to let me know that they were under construction and that this could be noisy. I had seen this listed on the website, so no problem. There really was very little noise at all, although maneuvering the entrance was a... Read more

This was not a happy trip - a family member had died - but the friendly professional staff at the Gettysburg Hampton made our short stay very nice- thank you! We checked in late and the hotel got us in our room very quickly and we were grateful!

We needed a hotel room for 5 of us and saw that they had a family suite. I was a little nervous because I never stayed in a Hampton before. What a surprise! Fabulous! Room was as nice as a four star hotel and spacious. The amenities in the bathroom were perfect-five of everything. Front desk was very friendly. Breakfast was free and better than expected. Oh those waffles. Personal favorite-free coffee all day with five different varieties. Who needs Starbucks? Definitely would return!

We did a get away weekend and stayed at this property. The staff was friendly and courteous and the room was spacious and clean. We were pleased with our stay. Before arriving they called to inform use there was some construction going on and were sorry for any inconvenience. To be honest there was no problems at all with the construction. We would stay here on our next visit to Gettysburg.

Went with school for trip. Very nice place, clean and good sized. Beds were a decent size. Very spacious bathroom with required necessities. Also had microwave and tv which proved useful. Air conditioning was hard to find perfect temperature but eventually figured it out.

I normally have no problems with Hampton Inns; it's a hotel I frequently stay in while on the road. This particular hotel had some staff issues that made our stay less than pleasant. My friend had brought in her own water bottle and wanted to fill it up before heading out for sight seeing. She asked the breakfast attendant where she could fill it up and the lady was very rude. She basically grabbed the bottle from her and told her "I'll do it myself" while rolling her eyes.

The Hampton Inn was convenient to everything in Gettysburg. We traveled with two children who enjoyed the pool as well as the complimentary cookies. The room was clean and beds comfortable. It was nearby restaurants, the battlefield and shopping district.

Overall a good experience. Some construction near the front entrance. Good location between the town and the battlefield. A good value for the suite we got. Some noise on the road side of the hotel beds were good but furniture was uncomfortable.

We had earned a free night as rewards members so we decided to stay here for the convenience of visiting Mount St. Mary's University the next day. We are always pleased with the value of Hampton Inns, and this one was no different. We were happily greeted with a goody bag (since we are HHonors members.) After we unpacked, we enjoyed the complimentary cookies and hot chocolate in the lobby. What a perfect way to unwind the day! Breakfast the next morning was superb, and the waffles are something ... We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Gettysburg for 2 nights. We stayed in one of the 1 bedroom suites. The room was very nice with a fireplace, Jacuzzi tub and an extra living room. Continental breakfast was good. They had cheese omelets one morning, and western omelets the second. They also had standard fair like waffles, cereal, and baked goods. The only complaint I have is the amount of noise from the traffic on route 30. I realize this is not something that the hotel can control, but be a... Read more

Room was nice. They are renovating the fa├žade so the windows were covered with plastic -- cold front came in and it was VERY windy -- so it was noisy. My grandson became sick and Ashley at the front desk went out and bought soup and crackers, heated it up and brought it to our room. The staff there is great and go above and beyond.

My wife and I stayed here on our way down to Florida. We have stayed at many Hamptons all over the country before but never have we encountered a receptionist as rude and spacey as Ashley. During check in we just felt as if we were inconveniencing her from her computer. She seemed frustrated and annoyed when my wife asked about local places to eat and questions about connecting to the wifi. This is a great Hampton Inn! The rooms are spacious and very clean, which is standard is a Hampton. Breakfast is good with enough variety for everyone. But what sets this one apart are the incredibly helpful women at the front desk. I think her name was Susan - but she was warm and so kind when we checked in. She made sure to take time with us and provide a map with where our tour that night would be and was ready with a list of restaurants for us to look through. There is construction currently... We stayed in the one bedroom suite which was well worth the extra cost. The rooms were large and comfortable. Susan at the front desk was very welcoming, gave us some tips and helped us with an audio tour CD for the auto tour of the battlefield. Breakfast was good with a choice of food including eggs, sausage and waffles. The bagels were like you would get in New York. Would stay here again.

We had a nice evening at the Hampton Inn- Gettysburg. We were warned repeatedly of work on the exterior. This wasn't a problem for us at all. The children really enjoyed the pool. One person in our group used the exercise room which was fine, but could use some wipes for cleaning off the equipment before and after use. We all slept well, the beds were warm and cozy with very soft pillows. We all had a great breakfast the next morning.

Good accommodations for a good price at the Gettysburg Hampton. We have stayed at the Gettysburg Hampton 18 times over the last 10-ish years. Each time has been a good experience! There is a standard at the Hamptons that we have stayed at in many different places. We have been pleased in all of our times at the Hamptons. From the time we entered the hotel, Michelle the front desk person, made us feel welcome. She was very helpful and accommodating. Hotel was recently renovated and it was first rate. Great rooms, linens. And furnishings. Variety of breakfast items in addition to go bags for those who had to leave early. We would definitely stay here again . Wish all mid-priced hotels were like this!
