My Tragedy turned into a Triumph during my 3 week stay at the Red Roof Inn in Essington PA. They treated me and my dog DéMaylah like we were family. Having recently suffered a fire in my home that left my house condemned and my dog and I without a place to stay; the Red Roof Inn in Essington PA. took us in and took great care of us while we mended our wounds, (emotionally, that is). The kind, considerate, and thoughtful, service provided by Julia, Lisa, Janet, Charella, Helen, Joan, Christine, ... Read more

We checked in rather late. The bullet-proof glass at the front desk was a sure sign that this was not a nice place. The parking lot was jammed with work trucks; I guess because the prices are low, companies house their blue-collar workforces here. The room was sufficient and mostly clean; there were cobwebs in the corners, but that's nitpicking. The heating system was bizarre - heat registers lined the room around the ceiling rather than the baseboards. I burned myself on one not knowing what it... Read more

I wouldn't vacation here, but I don't think that's the point of this hotel. This hotel is clean and modern. We stayed here so we didn't have to drive home from an event in Philly. Staff was friendly. Room was quite small, but fine for our purpose. It is between two highways, so the noise level is high. This is not a vacation property. It is close to the airport.

I do not understand some of the reviews--apparently people hunt for things to criticize. We have never stayed here before, but have stayed at a motel in the vicinity. Based on previous reviews, the motel evidently has been renovated. It is a non-smoking motel. Yes, the rooms are small, but our room was clean and the bed comfortable. We travel and stay in many motels each year. This motel is probably used heavily by travelers using the Phila. airport, so there will be wear and tear on the ro... Read more

Hotel was clean and modern, bed's are comfortableConvenient to I-95 both north and south. A good hotel to stay if you are just passing thru, or only have a few days stay. Dinner and Denny??s are right next door.

We only had (2) bath towels in our room for (4) people. One was stained. At 5pm I took it back to the office and she said she only had one. The bath mat towel was also stained. My husband went back at 8pm and requested another towel and an extra pillow and blanket. She said they were all taken and the hotel was sold out for the night. Later, the next morning we found out the hotel was not sold out. Ice machine was broken in our building. Shower had rust in bottom. Plaster was falling off of wall... Read more

Stayed at Red Roof Plus before in other locations. Each one is same, GREAT. Just make sure it's a "Plus". Really makes a difference. If it's not a"Plus" location the standards really can fall. This location is located perfectly, short drive into Philly, next door to Denny' s(also recommend) and Casino few miles down the road.

As opposed to some other Red Roofs, this one is totally renovated, updated and clean. I liked that families stayed here and that it was so close to a Dennys and very close and convenient to the Philly Airport. As I only stayed in RM 111, I cannot say what other rooms are like but assume the entire property has been updated. It also seemed safe.Would recommend this property to anyone who is in need of an overnight stay coming or going to the Philly Airport.

We were in town for a soccer game, and this place did the job for the little we time we spent in the room. It was clean and well kept. The bathroom was tiny, but it did the job. Our tv only got one channel, and that was the information guide. Tried calling the front desk, but the phone rang for 10 minutes and we got fed up. Other than that, it was a good stay.

nothing was good. room was falling apart. doors wouldn't shut. air conditioning didn't work. first room wasn't ready when we entered it so they moved me. second room was possibly the worst room I have ever stayed in other than the tv and cable.

The room was comfortable, there is ample parking. The price was right. Plenty of hot water, and easy to get to. The outside is well kept. Shopping is nearby in Springfield. The bathroom is clean and the rooms are clean and modern looking.

Oh where do I start. First, my overall stay was good. Rooms were clean, bed was very comfortable and 99% of the staff were great. From Latoya, Zanabu, Maureen, Roz and Pat they were wonderful and made me laugh alot and made me feel so welcome. My only complaint was a young lady named Janet who worked the front desk. The few times I had to ask her for anything it was like pulling teeth. Once she waited on me and her personal cell phone rang and she took the call as if me or thereon behind me were... Read more

Stayed on July 18th for an early flight leaving the next day. Front lobby staff was very polite, hotel convenient to airport and dining. Entered the room to find plastic wrapping (trash) on the floor, hair in sink, hair on toilet seat, toilet seat would not stay upright for male guest, hair in shower, used dried washcloth from previous guest still hanging on shower rod. Would not DARE stay here again, will just pay a higher rate at another hotel. Housekeeping really needs to be better monitored.

this red roof is close to airport-- easy access. The staff is very friendly. Rooms are decent and clean... but the bed spreads are filthy -- take them off before you get into bed. The staff makes it very nice... but they have to make some changes

Our stay was very pleasant. The room was clean, the staff helpful and housekeeping did a great job. This hotel was about twenty minutes from downtown and about fifteen from Citizens Bank Ballpark. There was a Denny's next door and the Philly Diner on the other side. Very convenient for a late bite to eat. Even though this hotel is located right off the freeway, it was quiet and peaceful. All in all, a good, clean place to stay for a couple of days.

The staff at this hotel were very friendly, they gave us free bottled water and a few complimentary snacks as well as let me print off my next mornings' boarding passes. The hotel was very near the airport. We stay there the Monday night of the Democratic National Convention so I considered us lucky to get a room at a decent rate. The elevator was dirty and the outside balcony smelled. The bedspreads were not white and were old fashioned polyester bedspreads that did not appear to be regular... Read more

We arrived on the 3rd of July after we had a bad experience with the previous hotel. We were received with a smile by Janet Jackson and made our stay and experience a one we will not forget anytime soon. We would like to thank her and may the good Lord bless her and she must just keep up the great work that she does with a smile.

It's all relative, but coming from the Westin in downtown Houston to this place was a major letdown. Staff was friendly enough, though they stayed behind their bullet proof protective shield. Room was decent size but I couldnt bear to walk barefoot on the floor. Smells like they only recently converted to non-smoking. Plumbing fixtures were marginally functional, amenities did not impress. The other customers looked at me funny as i was wearing a suit each day. You get what you pay for.
