Let me start by saying I LOVE the Hampton Inn chain. I try to go Hampton whenever I can, because I know I can count on a friendly staff, spotless room, and a comfortable stay. So it's jarring to me when something, no matter how small, goes a bit wrong. My daughter and I checked into the Hampton Inn Allentown (in Fogelsville, PA) late last night for one night. When we got to our room, I noticed the doorknob/ handle was very, very loose. We had no trouble unlocking the door, and it seemed to lock ... Read more

Only had two minor hiccups, The safety door latch was broken and the grandkid, (2 1/2 yrs) could open the door and surprised there was no bathtub. Like the built in charger by bed lamp and moon pie. Oh the curtains allowed the parking lot lights to enter the room which made us think it was daylight already, when it was only 1:00 AM, otherwise just close my eyes and go back to sleep.

Currently under renovation, but they are working around it by renting fewer rooms and that makes the hotel quieter overall. Good hot breakfast, television access, hot water with bath, comfy beds, friendly service, and efficiency in spite of the fact that they are working hard to update the hotel. Offered water when we arrived and a paper bag breakfast as we left. Ample supplies of USA Today. Excellent, fast internet free with room.

Always a great fan of the Hampton Properties. On a previous visit was disappointed at the tiny size of the room and the generally dingy character of the place. With a visit this past week, I was astounded at the great improvement- almost incredible!. The whole venue was brighter and very welcoming. The clerk at the front desk could not have been better, The chambers could boast an excellent mattress. Breakfast was fine with many more choices than other Hampton's, Any criticisms would be ver... I found this place when looking for a place to stay north of Philly airport. It was clean, as Hampton Inns generally are. The staff was pleasant and polite. I would stay there again. The beds were comfortable and I like the idea that the duvet covers are laundered after each guest has used them.

I stayed at this Hampton Inn Last year while visiting Dorney Park and felt the hotel was outdated and lackluster. I decided to try staying here again after reading comments from the GM that they are renovating the property. I reserved a Whirlpool room, but when I arrived, I was told they only had one, which was taken, due to the renovations that are ongoing. I was obviously upset, as I looked forward to a good soak, paid extra for whirlpool room, and voiced my concerns with the very friendly f... Read more

This was just OK for a one night stay but would not want to stay any longer than that. There is a sign that indicates there is construction going on but we didn't see any activity. Overall I thought the property was unclean. Our bathroom floor looked like it had not been cleaned with spots and dirt visible. The hallway carpeting needed to be vacuumed and the elevators seemed old and dated. The girl at the front desk at check in rushed us through the process but did offer us a bottle of water. I ... First of all let me tell you that the only reason I did not rate a 1 is because of a single employee, Terri Germani. My whole visit was terrible and uncomfortable. Renovation I understand. But my room that I was in for 4 days smelled like sheet rock dust and stale beer. Even though I am a Hilton member nor even a bottle of water. I didn't have a bad stay but the hotel is under construction which detracted from my stay. The hotel is conveniently located right off the highway but in the middle of an industrial park which makes it okay for short stays but not week long stats like I had. There is a Hilton Garden Inn close by. I'll probably stay there next time.

As we travel between the south and the northeast at least twice a year, we have come to trust Hampton Inns as a clean, hospitable stay, and because we follow the same route every year, we stay in the same ones. On our way north, we stay at the Allentown Hampton, which just happens to be located behind the Starlight Diner, an old time diner with good food. The hotel is comfortable and has a tasty complimentary breakfast. Our room lacked a frdge and microwave.

Better than expected. Had not stayed at Hampton Inn in many years. Bathroom was sparkling clean. Bed very comfortable. TV modern. Breakfast fairly good. Negative-need a 2nd bedside lamp on 2nd bedside table for King room, only had one. Also, take it a step up and do not use portable friges/microwaves, get one that stays in the room for every room, all hotels are now doing this, at least the good ones.

I was in town for business and stayed 4 nights. The room was recently renovated, and I mean I'm not sure if all the paint was dry. (Not really, but you get the idea). The room was immaculately clean and comfortable. Housekeeping was excellent. Monday I forgot to remove the Do Not Disturb sign. The next day, the room was perfect, and Crystal the housekeeper had even hung up some shirts I had left sitting on the bed. Wonderful customer service! The staff kept apologizing for the renovations bu... Read more

excellent hotel, in a great location. easy on/off access to the highway. rooms are exactly what you would expect to have from Hampton Inn - clean, with a frig & micro in the room, great staff working there. breakfasts are always a plus! and the breakfast staff at this particular hotel are superior.

Front desk attendant was distracted by men talking to her. SHE didn't offer me breakfast times, checkout time, where elevator was, etc. Also DID NOT MENTION the construction going on in the hotel right below our room. We were traveling with our 3 year old and had arrived very late and just wanted to sleep in before continuing our long trip home. Would NOT have stayed in the hotel had we been informed of the construction which woke us up early the next morning.

Friendly staff, a good hot breakfast, clean room, comfortable temperatures. But when I got into bed and took off my watch, earrings, glasses, and wanted to put them on my nightstand along with my cell phone, there was only one nightstand, and it was not on my side of the bed. A king size bed with only one nightstand. I do hope that will be corrected. It was an inconvenience in an otherwise pleasant hotel.

Renovations on second floor We stayed one night, my husband had business in the area. The hotel is set back from to main road yet we heard every truck that drive by on route 100. No closet just an indentation In the wall with a curtain. but there was a nice fridge and microwave., room was clean and had Neutrogena amenities. Staff was friendly. Check in and out was fast and friendly. Breakfast was very good, fresh fruit, eggs, waffles, and many healthy choices.

I'm glad that I woke up on my own each morning or I would not have been on time for business commitments. Requested wake up calls not received on two consecutive mornings. Reporting the problem the first morning did not correct this problem.

This Hampton Inn is a bit hard to find once you get off I78, but once you find it, it's quite pleasant. I was in a recently renovated room, which was redone quite nicely. The bathroom was clean and modern, with an ample supply of towels and toiletries. The bed was comfortable and the TV worked just fine, as did the standard internet connection. My only request about the room would be to have the room darkening drapes extend all the way across the window, instead of stopping at the heating/air co... Read more

Excellent location in proximity to Allentown. Easy on - Easy off the Interstate. Clean property. 2nd floor off limits but I suspect they are renovating an already beautiful property. Choose this hotel if you are in the area. You will not be disappointed.

Very Pleasant service and accomadations. THE STAFF WAS ALWAYS VERY PLASANT AND HELPFUL. Breakfast facility with access to TV weather and news was also a plus. The entry driveway was a little confusing on a dark and dreary night.

The price was right, and the hotel was close to Allentown. This was a much cheaper and comfortable option that spending a night in downtown. No problems checking in late and staying later. Room was clean.

I stayed at other hotels in Allentown and this hotel had the best breakfast around, a quiet room, was super clean, and had an amazingly friendly staff. Our previous comparisons were to 3+ star locations. The parking was ample off a main road and the view in our particular suite was pretty nice.
