This hotel is just average. I'm giving this hotel four stars for several reasons. The first in being that there isn't a Bible in the rooms. ( yes only some people care, but it's important to me). The second thing is that the maid service was weird and didn't empty our trash or coffee items. Lastly, the elevators are extremely slow!!! It sucks if you are on one of the top floors! ( which I was). But other than that, they had good breakfast choices and the beds are soft.

Hotel had great family amenities including a pool, free parking, free wifi, free breakfast and free afternoon snacks. The suites were clean and spacious. Appreciated the mini kitchenette that included a mini fridge and microwave. Hotel is also right next to a Target and Washington Square Mall which was extremely convenient to pick up forgotten necessities, souvenirs, or to simply enjoy some tax-free shopping. The mall also had a Cheesecake Factory and Portland Seafood Company on-site, but ri... Read more

This was the friendliest place I've stayed at. The evening reception had great snacks, complimentary drinks, and friendly service. The breakfast was the best. I stayed here for two weeks and never got tired of the food. It's not too far from the convention center--it took me about 35 minutes during rush hour traffic to get into the city. There is plenty of free parking places as well as food within walking distance. The rooms were great. I didn't care for the glass wall in the bathroom--it shed ... Read more

We Really like Embassy Suites and the warm greeting you receive upon arrival as well as the gratitude from the front desk for staying at Embassy Suites and their understanding when housekeeping is not as efficient as they generally are on previous stays. The great hospitality and great breakfast is greatly appreciated. The beds are really great as you can really get a great night sleep at Embassy Suites!!

The hotel is a nice choice if you want some of the luxuries, without having to pay for downtown location. It's about 20 min. from the zoo, 25 min. to downtown. Breakfast was an omelet bar and the usual eggs, muffins, etc. Staff seemed very ready to help. Free parking in the lot was a little harder to come by on Saturday due to a party in the convention space, but not unreasonable for a holiday weekend. My only complaint is the daily $4.95 charge for "Premium" internet. The signal was fine in... Read more

The hotel has been remodeled recently and as a result, has a very modern feel to it. The rooms are nicely updated and clean. They removed the stream, bridges, and greenery from the common area and, while this no doubt allows for more breakfast seating, I feel it took away quite a bit of the charm of the hotel. Now it feels more sterile and corporate. The breakfast is awesome as usual. The pool and exercise areas are fine, and the hotel offers free parking and is right next to a decent shopp... Read more

I'll be honest - we had problem after problem our first night in our deluxe suite - BUT the staff rallied quickly to correct and the rest of our 4 night stay was perfect. They had a particular kind of cereal that I couldn't identify. I asked the person in charge of the breakfast our last day what the name of it was so I could buy it. He came back with 2 large containers explaining that he couldn't find the name because they get it in bulk so he brought me some to take home. That's the kind o... Read more

It was an okay visit. Only one night there but as with all Hilton brands, the bed and pillow selection was comfortable. The a/c worked great. Pet peeves I found - cheap toilet tissue, not enough hooks for towels/robes etc. , for a fancy place like this to not have reliable cellphone coverage free is just ridiculous. Although we don't need wifi much in our room, it would have been handy a couple of times. Bed was a tad too firm for my liking, but better than others. Our vanity wall light ... Read more

Staff are very friendly, always attentive. We have stayed many times at this hotel. They always welcome us back, remembering our names. If they are new staff they usually come up and introduce themselves ask how our stay is going. We wouldn't stay anywhere else when we come up to the Portland area. No matter where we go we always stay in an Embassy suites property, if available.

We stay at this hotel every year when we come to visit family. Unfortunately, there has been a steady decline in the quality of the service over the years. Checking-in and out was not bad. A previous reviewer made a comment about the hotel needing to be updated. I don't know what room the other reviewer stayed in, but our room appeared to have been remodeled recently and was done very nicely. The only part of the hotel that I think looked like it needed to be updated were the elevators that seem to be a bit shabby compared to the rest of the hotel Free two hour evening reception includes free cocktails, and an okay selection of snacks. I stayed here 4 nights this week. The hotel has the normal Embassy benifits like good breakfast and reception. The staff is friendly but could not seem to get my AC repaired all week and didn't offer to move me. There were several rooms that didn't have functioning AC. They seemed to just be ok with that. The location is average at best. Nothing close by to walk to. No view at all. My whole group checked out a night early and moved. I would not recommend staying here if you have a choice.

Recent renovations to the public areas of this hotel have really dropped the charm and appeal that kept me coming back for many years. The atrium once boasted a waterfall, green plants, and lots of quiet nooks to unwind at day's end. Now? It looks like a cut-rate airline lounge. Flat boring walls. HUGE televisions all blaring at once. Fewer places to sit--and the noise level is off the wall. Sure, the manager's reception continues, but the quiet charm is long gone, replaced by a too-bri...
