Shilo Inn East is a reasonably priced option if you want to stay in Seaside on a budget. We stayed on a Sunday night, and arrived without making a reservation, which is obviously not an issue in February, but probably a very bad idea during the summer months. The guy at the front desk was a hoot, and it seemed like check in took an unusually long time, most likely because he was telling stories and interacting with us. He had suggestions when we asked for a reasonably priced place to eat, but ... Read more

Wonderful in town location, close to everything (5 minute walk). Great front office workers. Room was clean. Pool and hot tub 24 hours. Quiet, i liked better then the oceanfront location too expensive and rooms were dirty. I would definitely stay again. Breakfast modest at best, but good enough to start the day.

I don't often strongly dislike a hotel, I'm fairly easy to please but honestly, it's not worth the savings. The family hated it and it desperately needed to be updated and a good deep clean. Not close to the water either but I guess if you're just looking for a place to stay cheap, it'll work.

the management was great. however when we made the reservation we asked for either adjoining rooms. At least they were on same floor. because of pool being drained wasn't able to swim or use whirlpool. Had packed swimsuit but by the time pool was warm we were heading out.

We went to seaside for the first time. The management was great. They were super accomodating. The room was nice and easy to get to everything. Very quite. We will stay here again. Make sure you get a pronto pup dog

Once again, another great stay at this Shilo Inn. 24 hour pool and spa is awesome. Being handed a vintage brass big square key for my room makes me smile like I won a gold medal. Nice sized room, big bed, friendly staff, and a decent continental breakfast in the morning. I really felt the place was a bargain and incredibly reasonable.

Room was very nice, clean and cheap for the price, but the carpets in the hallway smell very bad. It was very affordable and close to the beach and down town Seaside. The front desk was very nice and helpful.

The pool was great.... Hot tub, steam room, sauna and open 24/7. An actual key gets you in to your room... Time to update! Location is close enough, but nothing beats an ocean view ?? We celebrated our kiddos 8th birthday!

This was our third stay here and this time we brought our dog with us. It's a pleasant place to stay and it's comfortable. It's also a good value and, although our kids are adults now, this place is popular with families. However, it's always been quiet and comfortable each time we've come. The pool, hot tub, and sauna are great and you can walk to the beach in 10 or 15 minutes or drive there in 5. If you have to be right on the beach and you don't mind paying a lot more, you can stay at the S... Read more

This hotel needs massive updates from the faucets that have to be held when turning on or off the water without it coming off the sink. Painting inside and out, the only thing great was the staff. That's it.

Overall the rooms are outdated, but fairly clean. At $175 avg per night during week leading up to July 4, I would expect things to be at least in the year 1995, not 1972. There was no Wi-Fi signal available, so I inquired at the desk and was told it is "spotty" and is intermittent. The bed was covered with a 1970s style floral comforter (it went straight on the floor, since I know many hotels don't wash them for every guest visit). The locks on the doors are amazing - they use old style keys... Read more

This was the best deal we could get in Seaside with 9 days notice and we stayed 3 nights. The room was basically clean, the staff was friendly and it was a safe location. That being said, the pool was out of service 2 out of the 3 days but we were there for the beach, not the dinky hotel pool. Also, we thought we were getting a room with 2 double beds and ended up with one bed and a "hida-bed". We didn't really care since the kids thought it was kinda cool so we didn't complain BUT the thing was... Read more

Old, has regular keys for the door. View was old garage and trash. Sinks were in the room not bathroom. Free breakfast but just cereal and packaged Danish with tables next to check in desk. Pool a bad color

I had a two-night reservation at this Motel. Upon check-in the room was absolutely filthy somebody else's dirty clothes on the floor the bathroom was very nasty the toilet had not been flushed. I immediately went to the office and ask them to please cancel my reservation I would go somewhere else. Gentleman told me there was nothing he could do for me as I had already paid. After many conversations and phone calls I was allowed to cancel the second night but had to pay the first night, which was... Read more

We came for vacation and to visit my husband while he is doing an internship. 2 adults, 2 kids, 1 dog. King exec suite with kitchenette. No complaints what so ever about the room, loved the kitchenette option. Location is pretty decent for the price, we walked downtown and to the beach every day. Staff was friendly and helpful. Seaside is super expensive during this time and we are on a budget, so this place fit the bill. Parking lot is small, pool needs some fixes and of course the breakfast is... Read more

Spend a little extra and stay somewhere else. The good: stayed with our dog, a 5 month old Rottweiler, and it was totally fine, an extra $15 pet fee. The bad: there's a really nice Shilo Inn right on the beach and in comparison this one is sooo ghetto. And not cheap. The ice machine was not working on arrival, the view from the window is a yard with broke down cars and a house that looks like one you'd find behind old plantations. I think an extra $30 or so could've gotten us closer to the beach... Read more

I booked the Shilo Inn on Holladay Dr because it was closer to where I was working. The stay was mediocre at best and I got very little sleep. My friends rented a 2bd house with off street parking for the same price 3/10 mile away, and had a peaceful stay, I'd do that next time. The room itself was fine. I booked a downstairs room for my pets. I think this two star review is more about the constant rude guests and less than secure facilities. I understand there will be noises from above... Read more

For a last-minute weekend trip, they had the only available room in town. It was about what we expected for a 2 1/2 star hotel: outdated, reasonably clean, quiet, plenty of free parking, very friendly and helpful staff, decent pool and low-end free breakfast that is enough to tide the kids over to lunch. On the plus side, a large, jetted soaking tub. On the down side, old carpet with multiple stains. The staff were very kid-friendly, which we especially appreciate. Room 219 had an electronic k... toilet was not cleaned. poo everywhere on it. mirror wasn't cleaned. floor wasn't vacuumed, etc, etc. called front desk. expected and requested a new room. nope. they sent maintenance man with a brush. he dripped the brush all the way out the front door. hubby called back and let them know we weren't happy. requested another room again. nope. couldn't leave soon enough. problem was, seaside was busy over holiday and couldn't find a room elsewhere. would not stay here ever again. never had such t... The Staff was friendly and accommodating. The room needed some updating and the bed need replaced but for the money it was what was expected. There were some drunks that decided to sit on my motorcycle and the desk clerk offered me to park it by the office.
