The first time we have stayed in Seaside, after many trips up and down the Oregon coast. This turned out to be an excellent choice. Nice hotel, centrally located, we had a river view room and were only 4 blocks from the beach. Clean room, good service and we got a room upgrade that we were entitled to as members of their loyalty program. Lots of restaurants close by, I mean there are a lot of choices on Broadway Street and adjacent streets. Right next to the Convention Center if that's what br... Read more

We stayed here for one night in May 2016. The location was great for exploring Seaside, and for the short drive to Cannon Beach, and I loved the breakfast! Pros: 1. Large rooms - we got a 2 queen room, and it came with a seating area with a love seat. Plenty of room for 3 people. 2. Great breakfast - while it is a standard HIX breakfast, they had gravy, and I love gravy! 3. Efficient staff - no wait for check in and check out. 4. Great location - right smack in downtown. What a fantastic stop on the Seaside wine walk! We were greeted with warm smiles as soon as we stepped in the front doors. While tasting local wines we indulged in the cheese, meat and sandwiches complements of the Hotel. Thank you HIE for a great afternoon!!

We brought our three grandchildren for an over-nighter to take advantage of the sudden nice weather. The kids loved the swimming pool but it was a bit overcrowded as it is quite small. But there was so much else to do in the area. We ate lunch at a nearby Pig-n-Pancake and then spent the day at the beach. The kids later rode on the local carousel and played some games at the arcade, then we called it a day. My wife and I slept in the king size bed and the kids slept in the sofa hide-a-bed. We ha... It was the perfect walking distance from the main strip of seaside! Tons of restaurants right next to the hotel. Continental breakfast, 24 hour pool (which was very nice, we were able to go into the pool/sauna/hot tub with no kids being kids) good sized rooms. The front desk gentleman was very nice, although I can't remember his name! There was construction going on on the street right next to the hotel, didn't hear a thing! Overall was a great experience!

Front desk and other employees were super nice. The breakfast was good and the area for eating was ample. The rooms were a good size and very clean. Close to downtown, and beach was about a 1/2 mile away and easy to get to. Would recommend it.

Brought 2 dogs and 2 boys. Got an upgrade of a river view for free. Rooms are very nice, clean and has all amenities. The location is fantastic and walking distance to everything. Many different restaurants, bars and cafes. After a great dinner at Norma's for their famous clam chowder it was off to the arcade. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

One problem with pet friendly is the owners. Our stay was disrupted by a rude dog owner in the adjacent room. The staff, after my urging, did respond to the room and resolve the problem at about midnight. Nice enough room, breakfast okay, parking okay. Typical Holiday Inn.

Great desk staff, yummy cookies, pool stays open 24 hours but we didn't get to use it because the "no kids after 10" rule was not enforced and it was overly crowded with young ones. The only other issue was we only had 1 small garbage in the whole suite. Our executive suite was fantastic. We especially loved the Jacuzzi tub and that it had opening doors to the living room so you could watch tv while relaxing, big shower, very comfortable beds as well.

Feel into this HI by default (July 4th wknd) All the boutique hotels along the coast were full and we only needed one night during our coastal NW trip. Was clean and nice, one of the best nights sleep we had and glad it was on the other side of the little river because that was the quiet side but easy walking distance to everything including the beach.

I've stayed 10+ nights at this place during various times. I like the location and it's relatively new furnishings but there is obvious and numerous short comings. First the staff, they straight up don't know their job most of the time. Simple front desk duties don't get done, requests for anything out of a simple reservation or check in is impossible. After a seamless check in, I discovered that the sliding glass door in our room (first floor) was open and the screen was off its hinges. I shared this information with the man at the front desk. He said "yeah, the maintenance guy is working on fixing that". Well, having the door open to the outside -- where people can walk up to -- is not a real comforting thing to be greeted by. Stayed here recently during family travels along Oregon Coast. We were all a little surprised when we arrived to see a few staff standing outside at the front entrance smoking. Didnt seem as squeaky clean as other Holiday Inns we have stayed at, but it was OK. I agree with some of the other comments about lack of staff - quite often the front desk was empty. Although we are frequent Holiday Inn patrons, I would like look somewhere else if we visited Seaside again.
