It's the most inexpensive place near downtown Portland. The staff is friendly and very helpful, and the rooms are very nicely decorated, roomy and very comfortable. It's close to mass transit and taxis are not expensive if you don't want to walk. The free, hot breakfast is wonderful - far beyond the usual continental fare. I loved it!

This Residence Inn is quietly tucked away on the southern part of downtown away from the noise, bars, and bums. Still only a few blocks away from the university square and a light rail stops in front of the property. But what set it apart from my few recent stays in Portland is the customer care. I warmly greeted by the receptionist; got another greeting from the manager via a phone call; and another greeting prior to departure. Additionally, when I brought up a minor issue on the exit door... Read more

If you're looking for a good hotel for your business trip in Portland, this could be your choice. It's close to various restaurants at the river. It's close to Interstate 5 which is convenient as well. Breakfast buffet is better than many other American hotels.

A wonderful and clean hotel - quiet and easy walking distance to many restaurants and downtown Portland. Close to local transit. We have stayed here multiple times including overnight stays after the 4th of July fireworks display. The property also provides access to great running trails on both sides of the river front. Easy to get in and out and wonderful staff that caters to all of our needs.

Came to Portland for the Redhead event this weekend. Since I had no burning desire to try to find parking in downtown Portland on a Saturday, I elected to get a hotel nearby. I fully understood that this was not gonna be a cheap solution, And especially not given the distance I was willing to walk (not very far). So, I spent several hours reading and researching area hotels. Finally after doing a lot of comparing, I chose this one. And I am more than happy with the choice. This was one of the... Read more

This is our go-to hotel in downtown Portland, OR, for business and family travel. It has always been super clean, with excellent / friendly staff, dog friendly, and the one-bedroom suites are perfect for our family. The continental breakfast has been, and still is very good - lot's of variety offered. And the hotel went through a great remodel - very nice. You can pretty much walk anywhere downtown or take max. The on-site covered parking garage is very convenient. We will keep staying here... Read more

It was really nice and clean. The breakfast buffet was really good. It might be close to the freeway but the windows are pretty thick and I could not hear a thing. Only problem I had was the bedroom TV signal on the higher channels. It pixelated a lot. Nice bed, nice couch and nice kitchen.

I always use the mobile app to check-in and on every occasion my room has been ready in advance of my arrival. Unfortunately that was not the case here. Which was really weird as I didn't arrive till 3.15pm. The first thing the front desk person felt she absolutely needed to point out in an absolute not customer friendly manner was that check-in was after 4pm. She then continue to inform me that she possible had a room available for me but recommended me to wait for the room she had me listed fo... Read more

We stayed a couple days recently and were very impressed with this hotel. As the other reviews say, the breakfast is better than all Residence Inn's I've ever been to and probably some of the Concierge Lounges as well. First off it's huge with the standard eggs, breakfast meat, cereals, pastries/muffins and waffles but then there was so much more. There was yogurt parfaits, fancy accouterments to the oatmeal, whole fruit washed and wrapped in plastic etc. And they had a menu of rotating s... Read more

Nice clean facility, reasonably priced located on the Willamette River and right on the walkway by the river. Walkable to several restaurants along the river front. My family and I stayed here for 2 nights and we were extremely impressed with this hotel. The hotel is located close to the river and right by the river walk-close to several restaurants and bars. While you're not right in the heart of downtown Portland, there is a MAX lightrail stop close to the hotel. Upon check in, the staff was extremely helpful. This is a superior Residence Inn property. Rooms are spacious and well-appointed. Staff is extremely courteous and helpful. The location is adjacent to the River Walk along the Willamette River, which is great for walking and jogging, as well as having a number of good restaurants, bars and sidewalk dining options. Also close to the tram to Oregon Health & Sciences University Hospital, Dornbecher Children's Hospital, and the attached medical complex. A bit pricey but worth it.

In reviewing computer clerk stated it was the last occupant that complained about same thing. Disappointed at poor housekeeping at a Marriott property and the fact they kept renting a room with known issues. Cut stay short and felt even further gouged at $30.00 per night for parking. :<
