We booked our room here to be handy to PDX after an inbound flight. Although located close to the airport runway, we didn't take exception to noise levels. The room was super clean with a comfortable bed, the breakfast offering was complete and well prepared, and the staff was courteous and friendly. There is a flight schedule board in the lobby just like in the airport terminal, and of course a free shuttle van is available. If there is one negative, there was no microwave or refrigerator... I love Hampton Inns and seek them out. I love the beds and the free breakfasts. This was by far the shabbiest Hampton I have ever visited. The carpets need replaced, walls need painted and the elevator was creepy. All in my party agreed that this inn had seen better days. The bathroom lighting was a horrendous bright blast. I like soft bathroom lighting in the morning when half asleep or at night when bathing and winding down. Some Hamptons have refrigerators. This room did not. That being said,... Read more

The only thing for me. Is the bed could have more pad. It was firm. I like it like that but with a pad on top. Otherwise it was wonderful. Very clean, everyone was very friendly and helpful even though it was buzy when we came in. Also our Son was getting Married and I told the girl at the desk and she gave them some special snacks.

The room I had was on the first floor. It was a nice size as well as clean and quiet. Of course you get the free breakfast. It's on the airport grounds so easy access to the terminals. They do have a shuttle to the terminal. This is a good jump off spot for PDX travel.

Given the proximity to the end of the runway, I was expecting more outside noise, but I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet the room was. Now, I will caveat that I was in a -07 room, so I was closer to the road than the runway. I was pleasantly surprised at the number of available power outlets conveniently located, so I didn't have to spread my devices all around the room to get them charged up. Also, this hotel, has a 24hr shuttle service! I will definitely stay again when I visit fam... Read more

Best priced for proximity to Portland Airport. I still feel over $200 for an overnight stay at an airport hotel with not restaurant is a bit much. There IS shuttle service every 15 minutes and if you pay more you can park and fly. The Sheraton is next door with excellent restaurant but costs more than the Hampton. Have used this location for years. This past couple weeks had cleaning issue that am working on resolving.

Spent the night at Hampton Inn Portland OR Airport the night before a flight. A very comfortable and reasonably priced hotel that actually has a very clean breakfast area with really nice offerings. The room was very comfortable and large enough to not feel cramped. The bed was medium firm and quite comfortable to both of us. The airport shuttle runs every 15 minutes between 4 am and 9 am and is on call the remaining 24 hours. The hotel is right at the edge of the airport so only a 10 or 15 minu... Read more

I have stayed a many Hampton Inns over the years and they consistently provide a quality product. This property was no exception. The staff was very helpful, the room was clean and had a reasonable amount of room. Everything worked as it should. Hampton Inn is by far the best value for your money when traveling. The staff is always friendly, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the complimentary breakfast is great. I do wish the treadmills were available earlier than 6:00AM. But that is a small issue and the other equipment was available. The only other downside is that it was warm and stuffy in the lobby and fitness room.

Very nice hotel located right by the Portland airport. I had a very early flight, so location was excellent. Very nice, updated lobby and staff were very pleasant. The rooms are large, clean and bed was extremely comfortable. Only downside is they were in process of replacing the carpets in the hallway. The people at the Hampton Inn, as well as the Sheraton next door were so welcoming and helpful. For example, Shelby at the front desk chatted with me, told me all about the city, and suggested destinations in which I might be interested. Daniel, one of the shuttle drivers, actually drove me to Target, and then waited in the parking lot while I ran in to buy a book. It's so nice when people go the extra mile! Definitely made my time away from home more enjoyable.

Even though our room looked across the parking lot to the runway, the noise of the planes was rather minimal. They do provide ear plugs with the bathroom amenities, but we didn't use them. The breakfast was what we've come to expect from Hampton Inn-varied and tasty. This was the first time I've had scrambled eggs with steak and it was great. Based on that, I would have given this two night stay an AVERAGE, but moved the rating to POOR because of what I think is a new billing procedure.
