I always try to stay at at Hilton whenever it's the option. I particularly enjoy the Doubletrees. I arrived late but was still greeted cheerfully with my warm cookie. All the employees were nice throughout the whole visit. I ate all my meals at the hotel. The bar restaurant has delicious cocktails, great food, and a friendly staff. The breakfast was good enough but the staff went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied. Very friendly and will be returning again on my next trip to Po... Read more

Stayed here because my parents were here, otherwise I would have gone somewhere else where the value for money combination is much better. It is an ok hotel but too pricey for what it offers. The staff was wonderful so that is why I am giving it an overall average rating.

Portland Oregon's Double Tree Hotel staff members are deliberate and intentional about delivering genuine heart-felt Customer CARE and Service. No detail is too small for their kind attention. I have been business travelling to Portland for over the past four years and wouldn't think of staying at elsewhere. The staff was friendly and responsive to requests. I recommend using the light rail from the airport. I was really apprehensive to use the train but so glad I did. I stayed at the hotel recently during my visit to Portland for PyCon 2016. This hotel seemed to be the default place to stay for most conference attendees and is a typical business hotel. The rooms were nice but a little small. Wifi was excellent. The hotel also had a very nice bar with excellent service. I loved their loaded fries and mac and cheese. While the lobby and entrance is nice, the room we stayed in was terribly out dated. No fridge, the bathroom fan didn't work, horrible water pressure, the windows had condensation from being cracked, and in the room there were noises outside all night like something was hitting the window. We were on the 8th floor so I'm not sure what it could have been but it was bothersome. Our first night there it was 100 outside and the AC went out and was not fixed until morning. Comforter was dirty. The rooms are outdated. The joint door needs to be torn down and replaced with a wall. No privacy. Heard sex, laughter, loud talking and their television. If the rooms could be as beautiful as the lobby, it would be worth the price. I wasn't recognized as a Hilton honors member. However, the manager was very prompt with replacing the comforter.

Don't get me wrong. The room is ok but it's small. Parking is $20 a night so a 3 day weekend will run you $60+. The room was small and smelled liked cigarettes. We thought it came with a king bed but it ended up being a queen (ugh!). They also advertised free wifi but then you get here that's not the case other and it cost $$. We called the front desk to ask about and they were very rude about it. In addition the shower is just a stand up and the walls are thin. Not a fan of this place!

The pool is fantastic - outdoors and with a real deep end (though still no diving allowed). Cons - like most Hilton hotels, many free amenities at more basic (but still nice) hotels cost $$. The room was large and comfortable. We did not pay for the volcano view, but we didn't miss it. We did get a great view of the river and since our stay was over July 4, the fireworks! Breakfast buffet was the same every day, but the selection and value was there. But this was a science fiction convention. And some people were stuffy about our costumes. Mind you, most of the staff was enjoying it. But it just takes 1 or 2 getting too full of it, to make things difficult.

I cannot say enough nice things about this hotel and its employees. From the minute we pulled up to valet our car, the service we received was exceptional. The valet and the front desk clerk were so hospitable from the beginning. Our check in went seamlessly and we were given the room cards we had selected online very quickly. The suite we had was wonderful and very spacious with a beautiful view of the city via two balconies in the living area and the bedroom. The other king rooms we had in o... Read more

Your typical double tree by Hilton. The regular queen size bed rooms are very small compared to other locations. The rooms could used some cosmetic work. The restaurant on the main floor does have a good food and drink selection. The hotel however is located in a below average location with a strip mall within walking distance. They do provide a self parking garage for a fee. Customer service is above average. Price per night is also at average level. I would much rather stay out of this a... Read more

Stayed here for a company event last friday. Parking was easy(and free with room) and the property was clean and modern. My room was nice, but the bed was a bit too firm for my taste...although I slept great. Room wasnt ready when I checked in but they were very service oriented and took care of me as soon as able. Its a little tricky getting to the property, but the location is very handy for the rail into town, or for anything at the Moda or convention center.

My husband and I stayed here recently for a weekend whilst we explored Portland. I was really impressed with the hotel. We just had a standard room with a queen size bed and the room was a little smaller than other hotels we have stayed, but it was perfectly fine just for the weekend. The bar downstairs serves food and drinks late into the evening and we found ourselves here after exploring the town each evening. It is outside of the normal downtown area but we just got an Uber downtown or into ... Read more

The room had missing electrical switches. There was NO FAN in the bathroom. Overpriced nickle & dime for everything, coffee, breakfast even parking was $35 a night in a plain old insecure parkaid scattered with litter! Bleh at best!

While everything is taken in perspective, in it's price category, this is a great place to park your bags for awhile. We went through the usual lineup while on highway 5 trying to decide where to stay in Portland. There are so many choices and the price range is wide. We finally decided that the pictures of the room, the fact that room cleanliness is a one time shot, and location were most important. This hotel did not disappoint. We stayed on the 14th floor with excellent views. The room was la... Read more

A well below average facility. No refrigerator, microwave, or safe in the room. One microwave in the hall outside the elevator. Virtually no water pressure in the shower! Poor housekeeping. We were there when they had a large convention of uncontrolled children. Why put children on the Hilton Honors floors? CRAZY! I will never go to this hotel again.

We had been here in April 2026 for a Traikblazers game and enjoyed the hotel and service so much we decided to come back. Wrong move. Kid convention was going on and hundreds of unruly unsupervised kids were running around everywhere jumping off the hand rails in the elevator. The room we reserved and paid for had been given to someone else and they instead gave us a smelly geriatric room with a nasty slimy handicapped shower that smelled like a nasty nursing home. It was horrible.

INTRODUCTION: Our family stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Portland from September 4, 2016 to September 5, 2016. We were in Portland because of the last showing of the Lion King on September 4. PROS: The hotel is very upscale and offers many world-class amenities such as a large outdoor pool, an amazing restaurant, and easy access to the ballrooms next door. Our room, which was an upgraded "larger" King room which seemed like it could've been a handicapped suite. The room was nice an... Read more

Friendly staff! Delicious breakfast! Loved the warm welcome cookies at the front desk. Parking is about $25 a day with in and out access. It was nice to have parking, but this would have been a drawback if we had a longer stay. Close to downtown and their was public transportation right near the hotel so you don't necessarily need to drive downtown if want to avoid the hassle of parking. The hotel is near the Emerald Dragon which is an awesome bar and a must visit.

Hotel is quick walk from Lloyd Center Max (Light Rail) station and next door to Lloyd Shopping Center. Restaurants and grocery store within walking distance and quick ride across river to downtown Portland. Onsite parking available for fee, but if you fly in you wouldn't need a car due to the great transportation system Portland has from airport into downtown Portland.

If you are considering staying at this hotel the first thing you need to know is that this property is very much a conference hotel. It was intended to host guests at the nearby conference center and at it's own fairly expansive set of on-property conference facilities. So that is the feel of it. It doesn't feel like a vacation spot, it's not necessarily a place kids would necessarily enjoy, and it doesn't radiate a lot of personality or uniqueness. Chances are you'll see a lot of people wal... Read more

Not knowing much about Portland thought this was a good option but having spent the weekend we realized this is a bit on the fringe with lots of homeless people around. We were told by our Uber driver that a lot of sex trafficking happens at the mall across street. The hotel was hosting an "unschooling" conference. Unschooling is the new word for homeschool. The children were running around the hotel mostly without adult supervision. The room it self could use some updating, wasn't what I expect... Read more

The staff at this hotel are very polite, friendly and helpful. The rooms are well maintained and the beds are comfortable. The complimentary WiFi offsets the parking fee and it's so convenient to park in the parkade right next to the hotel. I liked the option to either sit down for a formal breakfast or grab a quick bite in the lobby. There's shopping and a park across the street that makes getting out for fresh air very convenient. The warm cookies you receive upon arrival are delicious and suc... Read more

We were part of a business group (maybe 50? people) that had booked rooms for a quarterly meeting. We were on the HiltonHonors floor and were very pleased almost everything: + cleanliness of the room + size of the room (and that there were actually enough hangers in the closet) + comfort of the beds (the blankets were actually true down blankets and it was like being surround by clouds). + TV had a great selection of free shows (my 11 year old son was happy). The staff were fantastic. The room was beautiful. Aside from the half-empty water cup on the dresser. Also surprised that a higher-tier hotel such as this doesn't have microwaves and mini-fridges in every room, only on request.

A beautiful hotel but average accommodations. The light coming from the bottom of the door could keep a person awake at night. Fantastic customer service throughout the hotel. House keeping was washing walls and my room was spotless! Housekeeping staff is well worth their money and probably sure they should be making more money.

Hotel is very large. Right across from a mall. Parking structure is adjacent to building. There is a bar and restaurant on site. You are not downtown, but it is right off the freeway, so easy access to everything. Staff was very attentive. Room was very large and roomy. A/C was good. Not too noisy. Wonderful view. Much nicer than the Courtyard Convention Center. Will definitely stay here again. Wish they included parking for free.

Check in and out was quick and the staff very friendly and helpful, and large room was nice. The bed was soft, so us adults woke up stiff, kids didn't care. We stayed 2 nights and had to call and request toilet paper the first night because there wasn't any extra and only a quarter of the roll on there. Who doesn't put a full roll or an extra in the room? We had to request a fridge and microwave, which took at least 30 minutes each request, which was not fun with a toddler who needed warm mil... A bunch of nurses sharing 3 rooms on the ninth floor. Large rooms great beds. Terrible wi fi connections unable to work without the internet connection dropping out. The bathroom was a nightmare. It took anything from ten to thirty minutes to get the shower to work. The way struggled to pump through. There was no way to have a bath without waiting an hour for it to run. We did bring to his attention that the hotel was hosting a congress for people with Parkinsons and bath stools were not available unless you had one of the mobility rooms, With our room (936) the problem was water. I recently stayed at the Doubletree Inn for a conference I was attending. The hotel and rooms were nice looking, but had challenges for me. First, I am 5' tall and I found the bed difficult to manage getting in and out of. Once in the bed, I found the mattress to be of lesser quality than i am used to in hotels. While it did not give me a backache, it was difficult to move around in. Secondly, there is no bathtub! I have not seen this since many years ago when I stayed in a Motel 6. This would... Read more
