We stayed one night on our way back from Crater Lake and could not have been more pleased. Doesn't look like much from the outside but the rooms were spotless and very comfortable. And the price can't be beat. It's about an hour from Crater Lake but there's nothing comparable anywhere closer. Highly recommend.

Clean, well set up. two queens. Everything you need for a couple of nights stay. It looks small but it has a large customer satisfaction appeal. We would definitely stay here the next time we are in Shady Cove.

We did a long trek from Idaho to Crater Lake and booked a stay at the Maple Leaf Motel. We were only there for one night, but after a long 12 hour drive, Sonia greeted us, and gave us great recommendations for dinner and outlined some additional places to stop and hike should we have the time. She was spot on, gracious and very helpful. As another reviewer mentioned, the outside isn't much to look at, but the room was room was absolutely clean and the two queen beds comfortable. The owners of the Maple Leaf motel were wonderfully hospitable. They were just wonderful and the rooms were neat and clean. The beds were comfortable. The cherry trees out in front gave the best cherries! If you're in the Shady Cove area the Maple Leaf Motel is the affordable, clean and quiet place to stay.

Came up here to Salmon fish and found this place on the internet. Looks like the Bates motel and was a little skeptical when pulling up. Nobody in the office at 3pm on a Friday. Had to ring the buzzer.. Guy buzzed us in with an infant on his lap. Attempted to check in but the guy said we will do it later as the child was crying.. Not real professional.. Went into the room and was surprised.. Room was clean and looked updated. AC unit didn't work great but after awhile it cooled it down somewhat.... Read more

Stayed in a 2 bed room last night. Was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the room for such a good rate. As an innkeeper.myself I look for places that make us feel welcome and that' that I would want. To return to. So glad it was as represented on line.

Rooms were comfortable enough, little bit loud but otherwise fine, staff were very friendly too. Motel is on the outskirts of Shady Cove so there's not a lot directly around it but there's loads to do in the wider region including the incredible Crater Lake.

We stayed here on our way to Crater Lake and were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the room and the comfortable beds. This motel has been owned for over 12 years by a husband and wife dynamic duo who have put their heart and soul into making this motel a little slice of heaven. The owners are friendly folks who answered our questions about the small town and places to eat. The rooms are very clean right down to the fridge and microwave. One night stopover on a Southern OR road trip. We loved this little motel! Owners are on the property and are extremely nice and attentive. Rooms are clean and look recently updated. Close to restaurants (short drive - don't want to walk on this stretch of highway- no sidewalks and big trucks zip by). Nice lawn area out front with tables and chairs - enjoyed wine at night and watched the world drive by. Cute little dog on site joined us. Picked handfuls of fresh cherries from the tree out front... We were looking for somewhere affordable to stay for just a night near Crater Lake and read the excellent reviews the Maple Leaf had and decided to give it a try. We couldn't be more pleased that we did, the room was spacious and modern and most importantly, clean. The beds were very comfortable, the shower was nice and hot and the owner checked us in with such a friendly and welcoming demeanor, we felt right at home.

We went up to see family up in Shady Cove. I found the Maple Leaf Motel on line. It was given excellent reviews. It was Excellent -- clean, neat as a pin, large bathroom that was spotless, the rose bushes in front, the large area for BBQ's, tables and chair outside all for the customers. You can see the pride of ownership. Next time we are heading to Shady Cove we will be staying at the Maple Leaf Motel.

Stayed here on our way to Crater Lake and some waterfall hikes. Super friendly owners, very personable and attentive. Busy road, but I found the AC drowned most of the traffic noise out. Very clean and well kept rooms and grounds. I think this is the best place to stay near Crater Lake, quaint, clean, and affordable. Would definitely stay again, thanks!

We enjoyed the front lawn to sit outside and share pics with a glass of wine. Our room was updated, coffee maker, microwave and fridge. Great to have breakfast in the room. Local flavor.

This is a family run motel, not HOTEL. For the price we paid, it was awesome. It is located right off the highway, no pool, no breakfast. Very basic. With that said, the room was quiet, can't even hear the highway traffic. Room is decent, 15 rooms, all are double queens. Very clean, sheets, bathroom. There is a front lawn outside with some porch swings for you to hang out and it's cool, breezy in the evening. Owner was very helpful with recommendations and questions. We were planning to... Since we were left stranded by a broken rental car (and Hertz, who despite promises, never did replace the car), we got to see a lot of what goes on at the Maple Leaf. The owners, Sonia and her husband, operate and manage this family business. They work hard to keep the property to a high standard, and even harder to care for their guests. If we ever get a chance to return - and maybe actually see Crater Lake - we will happily stay here again. And Sonia, thank you again.

To say that this place is "near" Crater Lake is a stretch, but we mapped it before booking and knew it would be a drive. Since we couldn't get a room inside the NP we opted for a place in Shady Cove, which we were told was a nice little town. It is. The Maple Leaf is not modern or luxurious. If you looking for an affordable place for your family while visiting Crater lake , you won't regret booking this place!! We got a spacious, clean and quite room , that was big enough for our family of 4. No breakfast but a 2 minutes drive from places to bring back coffee, cookies and milk to the room and sit in the small , but sweet front yard and enjoy it. Only 50 minutes drive from Crater lake which was our reason to stay in this area. Lovely management!! Highly recommended!!

We were looking for a nice little place to stay the night during our fishing trip, and this was it! We didn't want anything fancy so you won't find that here, but for a motel of that price I was very impressed! It was clean, nicely decorated, cozy, and not at all run down feeling like a lot of motels. We were expecting much less, and were very happy with the room. This is a basic family-operated motel. Despite the budget price, our room appeared to be newly renovated, but when we commented on it, the owner said it was renovated 12 years ago! We arrived on 9/6/16. We were on a motorcycle and I asked if they had any rags we could use to clean our 'bike' off - and he said yes. Very shortly afterwards we were given 2 rags, then a woman came by a few minutes later and said here's another rag in case you need it! How nice was that!
