Great place to stay. Rooms are clean. Vintage cottage feel. I love how it does not look like every other motel, and don't have the hideous drapes and bed spread. Everything is like you would have in your own home. Cozy. Love it here.

Came here to get away from stress. The hotel is adorable and very quick walk to the beach. I could hear the ocean from my room. Unfortunately due to other guests partying in the parking lot till 5am I didn't sleep nor hear the beach. This is to no fault of the hotel though. Very clean, and very friendly staff.

Comfortable, clean very pleasant little gem for family gatherings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was our first overnight family trip for mother's day. It was very special we look forward to returning in the near future.

We had one of their standard rooms. Nothing in special to report, everything was in the room, flat screen TV, coffeemaker and microwave. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The whole set-up was really comfy and we enjoyed our stay. The Motel is in a residential area and so there was absolutely no noise. Close to the beach, we walked about 5 minutes to the beach access and spend some time walking on the beach at night. The staff is super friendly and helpfull. Next time in Lincoln city,... Read more

This was our first weekend away without the kids in over 10 years. We wanted a romantic getaway for our anniversary and found the Whistling Winds Motel website. It looked & sounded lovely so we booked 2 nights in the Love Shack themed room. After a 4 1/2 hour drive we arrived to check in. We were then told there would no housekeeping services while we were there. If the garbage needed to be emptied we could take it out to the garbage can under the stairs. We should also try to reuse the towels ... Read more

Wow. Found this place by fluke on a July 4th weekend litterly by going down the wrong road. Fate led us to meet the Inn Kepper Andrew who was amazingly friendly from start to finish. We ended up in the Kontiki Room. It was stunning with its woodwork. The jet tub was massive. I am sure tubs like that were not around in the 30's but it felt right. This was one of the cleanest establishments we had ever been in. The little extras were wonderful. Robe's next to the tub electric candles. The place wa... Read more

A quick & easy walk to ocean beach access, about 1 block away. Plenty of chairs for sitting outside on warm summer evenings. Local owned, with helpful and inviting managers. I like wood paneled decor, and room 6 was beautifully done with natural wood. Great value for the money. Very quiet at night. Lights were almost too dim for evening/after-dark reading, so I will bring a reading light when I return.

I loved that they restored this little motel, very cozy. We have stayed 3 times. Close to the beach and the casino. The room is very old school, has a very nice Jacuzzi in the room. There is no a/c, and the bed was the worst I have ever slept in. The bed was old and very uncomfortable. The pillows were flat and old. I woke up both mornings with severe lower back pain. No coffee maker, micro or even a small fridge. It is fine for a one night stay but this is in no way a 5 star hotel. You get the ... Read more

Pros: Room is nice and clean. Hotel is very close to beach and some restaurants. Staff is very kind. Con: Wi-Fi does not work in the room. Also, Verizon LTE signal is very weak. Parking space is a little bit limited.

I feel I am being generous giving this place two stars. We stayed in room #1: Motel is so cute from outside but had several drawbacks. Room was clean and beds were very firm and rather uncomfortable. Room smelled bad from whatever previous people cooked on stove. There is no dishwasher, no air conditioning, no vent fan in bathroom, and no window screen so when we opened the single window to air out the room flies immediately started filling the room. So, had to close window and deal with the ... Read more

We were just driving around the coast, and came upon this place. It's so cute outside, we decided to rent a room. Went with one called Ocean's 11. Was a darling place! It had a kitchen, and a fireplace. A bedroom, and bathroom. It was like my partner's and Mine first apartment! So darling. Everything was so clean! I can't recall a time I have gone to a Motel, and it was just sparkling! Oh wow. Now we can't wait to come back! There are some, well, odd places to stay in Lincoln City. So happy we... Read more

The front desk people were very nice. I asked for more pillows and towels and they were quick to get them to me. My room was extremely clean I would very much recommend this hotel and when I'm in the area again I will surely be staying there again

Located within walking distance of the beach and casino. We have stayed at other motels around the area, but nothing compares to the Wispering Winds Motel. A very affordable and a wonderful place to just relax and getaway. The rooms are very nice/clean. The staff was friendly/helpful and we look forward to staying at the Wispering Winds Motel again! 5 stars! ???????????????

Best place to stay. Clean. Friendly staff. I love that there is no pets allowed. I have bad allergies. Most motels, I leave with a stuffed nose. Not here. Super close to the ocean. Great location. They even have a bunch of games in the lobby. Lot's of menu's and a list of things to do. They really go all out to make sure your stay is great. Kitchen rooms are great. Saved money by cooking instead of fast food all the time. We will be back.

After a long road day we needed a home for the night. The motel is clean, cute, and totally functional for the price charged. Our beef was with the wi-fi which was virtually non functional. We specifically asked if the wi fi was working when we checked in. The A-frame out front advertised wi fi as well. After a call to the office we were told the wi if was a bit slow today. Reading previous trip reviews we see that this was an issue months ago as well. The motel could be so perfect but they need... Read more

This place was actually a last resort as everyone else was booked up, but the rooms were very cozy and had kitchens. If I came back I would definitely go to the store and get groceries and cook in their cozy little cabins. Lady at the front desk was nice and we enjoyed our rooms, cool little spot!!!

We had an amazing time at the beach. Whistling Winds is our favorite place to stay!!! Friendly service. Very accommodating, clean and comfortable rooms at a very affordable price! And had everything we needed! Even a kitchen to do a little cooking. It was perfect for our girls getaway. Close to the beach so we fit in a walk along the Sandy shores. The perfect place to stay!!! Five stars ??????????

We have stayed at Whistling Winds the last 5 years. We started there on our honeymoon and every time we come to Lincoln City whether for a birthday, anniversary, getaway, etc. we always choose to come back. It's close to the beach, quiet, clean and private.
