I always stay at the Holiday Inn Express when in Eugene. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the free buffet breakfast is great. I usually stay when in town for the marathon and they treat the runners great with late checkout and they start the breakfast buffet hours early for the runners. The employees are always very pleasant and very helpful. I highly recommend staying here when in Eugene.

I rated this hotel at 3-stars because of the "thin walls." The staff is great, the room was nice and clean with modern accommodations, and the free breakfast buffet was very convenient for traveling on a budget. If this was all I considered I'd rate it at 5 stars, against other hotels of its class. Unfortunately, our first night I could clearly hear the neighboring rooms television. Normally I'd be able to sleep through the noise, but this time I was kept awake for three hours. The television ... Read more

Everything was perfect, clean room, clean bathroom, friendly staff, easy check-in..then I went to take off my make-up and the complimentary make-up remover toilette in the bathroom was empty. I realize this is a supplier faux pas, however I knew the package was empty even before I opened it. It was flat and light, which is something housekeeping should have noticed as well. Breakfast was ok, the usual stuff. Yes, still recommended.

We enjoyed a comfortable stay for one brief night. The front desk clerk who checked us in was very friendly, one person in our party enjoyed the free cookies in the lobby, and we all slept well in our room. Although we didn't take advantage of it, the hotel's proximity to the UO campus would have been great for a walk or run to Tracktown USA! The room and bathroom were quite clean, with the exception of a leftover orange peel on the floor by one of the beds, likely from the previous night's g... Read more

Checked into the hotel around 7:00 pm after travelling from Crater Lake. The hotel room was crisp and clean, the pool was indoors and heated, and the property was in really good condition. (better than I thought for a college town hotel) I would stay here again if travelling through the area. Thumbs up!

My husband and I took an unexpected trip to Springfield due to a close friend being airlifted to the hospital there. We checked into two rooms the first night around 1:30am, one for us and one for our friend's sister. The next morning we asked for a late check-out and also to see if those rooms would be available for another night if we needed them. (We explained we had a friend in critical condition at the hospital, so we weren't sure how long we would need to stay.) The manager, Holly, was ver... Read more

Very helpful and friendly front desk staff. Room was clean. Water pressure very good. Walking distance to restaurants and bars. My son enjoyed the pool - it's a bit small, but great for a 4 year old. I'd definitely return to this hotel if in Eugene again.

I will never stay here again. We love Hi Express, but this location is extremely noisy. Right at a major intersection of I5 and a major street, the traffic noise was on ALL NIGHT! I am exhausted and have to drive 8 hours today.

Good location for my meetings at the University - I was able to walk to campus. Desk staff were helpful and enthusiastic, room was clean and had ample working space. I had a room with a microwave and fridge, and there is a grocery store within walking distance as well. I did find the concession/ice machines in the hallway to be exceptionally noisy, however.

I knew this would be a great stay when I checked-in with Isaiah, who was extremely friendly and helpful & recognized my Spire status including an upgraded to the mini-suite with spa tub and fireplace. Enjoyed the wide range of tv channels and the comfortable furniture in the room. Breakfast area was not crowded, and stay would have been perfect if not for the parking issues (namely the limited availability) due to all of the construction outside. Would definitely stay here again based just on th... Read more

I am a huge fan of this hotel. I stayed there while competing in the Olympic Trials and it was important to have a great place. It was the perfect location in easy walking distance to coffee, groceries, dinner, Hayward Field, Pre's Rock and Pre's trail. Great sized rooms, impeccably cleaned and well taken care of. Having a fridge and microwave was awesome as well. The staff was fantastic and I will definitely be back and recommend to people. Not a thing bad to say. THANK YOU!!!

Also, the staff were super helpful. They are adding more rooms too. Hopefully they will spruce up the original rooms as they are showing minor wear and tear. The beds and pillows are top notch. Lots of tv channels. Parking is easy. Location is easy walking to the Knight arena and Hayward field.

Everything was very clean and well kept. The staff was excellent; friendly, welcoming and kind. I would rate it higher than a 4, but .... it is a Holiday Inn. I would stay there again without a doubt. Excellent location to the college.

The bloom is off the rose here once you get up to the rooms. The staff did their very best to compensate, but I wouldn't stay here again. Not worth the price. There was no one to set up breakfast the morning after our arrival, so we had to go off to all day meetings without a meal we were paying for. The front desk did their best to get a few basic items out, but paying 179 a night for that was a bit beyond the pale. The rooms and furnishings are starting to get shabby. We stayed at this HIE for a college visit. It is very close to campus, about a ten minute walk to the Ford Alumni Center where our tour met. It is a walk along a busy street, so you may want to drive anyway. Our room had two beds, a couch and a mini fridge and microwave. There is a very nice grocery store a few blocks away where we picked up a dinner to microwave each night, which worked out great for us. They also sell some frozen dinners and ice cream in the little lobby store. Our check in ... Read more

No one will ever confuse a Holiday Inn Express with, say, a Four Season Hotel in one of this nation's major cities.  On the other hand, the HIE in Eugene at the University of Oregon comes as close to perfection as any chain motel can.  Everything radiates class and careful concern for the customer.  The check-in was quick, efficient, and the young lady who checked my wife and me in was wonderfully friendly.  Our room was exceptional. Stayed for one night. My room was quiet and comfortable. The bathroom was also clean and have large bath tub. This property seems to get aging but not a serious level. I recently stayed at your property and I was not happy with anything at your facility. The room was not very inviting at all smelt of moldy musty smell and there was a bunch of dust and the floor didn't look very well vacuumed. I will for sure not stay here again. The head housekeeper had a very rude look on her face when i smiled at her in the hallway I did not feel a good vibe at all from her. The hotel is well kept and beautiful. The pool and spa were welcoming after a long drive. The only negative comment I would have is the noise level. At five in the morning, hearing someone's bath tub draining or a child screaming is not a way anyone would like to be woke up. Over all though, nice place to stay.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn & Suites in Eugene during our 9 day trip visiting Oregon. The hotel was very nice - new, clean, good breakfast, and extremely friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. They also gave us a map for the trail system that was a few blocks away. The location is also very good - right down the street from the Unive... Read more

I stayed only one night on a lightning quick trip to town for an all-day meeting the following day, plus I used points to book a room. Nevertheless, I made a point of asking what the room cost and compared it to the standard room since I lucked out and ended up in a Spa Suite, one of six at the hotel, probably because of my hotel status. The Suite was huge, immaculately clean and nicely furnished, and apparently priced only about $30-40 more than the regular rooms. There were two large TVs, a f... Read more
