Grateful for the Eugene Hilton's Existence! We always stay at the Eugene Hilton when I attend the Eugene Breema workshops twice a year! This time I had booked our stay about 2 months prior & at that time I requested a room on a high floor facing the train station & Skinner Butte. When we arrived we were assigned a room on the 3rd floor!! We had to beg for a high floor room, even though my request was written on the confirmation email. Now we know better! The Hilron in Eugene is way over priced room over $300? There isn't a single room in the hotel that is worth that. They just take advantage of the events that come to Eugene. They should be making large donations to the University of Oregon

The executive floor king room was ok. It was clean, had a huge tv , and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was tiny. The staff didn't acknowledge my gold status or offer an upgrade. The free breakfast was ok, but the room was small and the tables were not steady.

Three nights king deluxe room. The smell of cat feces was overwhelming. We asked to be moved, they agreed initially then said the hotel was full. We did move the second night, but it was like pulling teeth. The next room had telephones which were not working. Old, close to the train and very noisy.

The staff at the hotel was incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean. The location was convenient to popular locations in Eugene - we walked almost everywhere we went. The only meal we ate at the hotel was breakfast. There was a good selection of food at the buffet, and everything we ate tasted good. The bar in the lobby had a nice selection of local beers - we got a taste of them before we even left the building to see the city.

The hotel was nice enough and I was able to get a ride to the baseball stadium very easily - the front desk made that happen very easily. Also, stayed up on the executive floor which had free snacks but you had to pay 4.5 for a beer - seems a bit much for staying on the executive floor. Only real complaint was parking was $24/day - wow, really in Eugene!

We spent two nights at the Eugene Hilton (this is the one downtown -- there's another Hilton in nearby Springfield) in connection with the graduation of our daughter from a graduate program at the University of Oregon. Fortunately for us, the commencement for this particular graduate school is a week earlier than for the university as a whole, so we paid less than $140 a night for each of two rooms, plus the fairly low hotel taxes in Eugene, rather than probably $500 or so for the regular gradua... Staying at this hotel unexpectedly made my business trip to Eugene something I actually enjoyed rather than just another place to stay while traveling for work. It was downtown and very busy with a track meet but still, the staff were exceptionally well trained, knowledgeable and reached out to me personally. That is something I value as I travel every week.

There was nothing special about this hotel at all. No amenities i could say are worth the price tag, i will say however that this is probably the cleanest place to stay in Eugene so I'll be coming back. But it's for the lack luster surrounding hotels, not for the pleasure of staying at this one. I feel like they don't try that hard because they don't really have to. There's no better place to stay in this small town. They have potential, they just don't see it.

It is so conveniently located, right off the train depot, and right in the middle of downtown. Their lunch salad/soup bar was excellent, and a great deal, $8, including tea or coffee. In fact all the food that we had at our Seminar banquets was excellent, salmon at one and ribs at another. No rubber chicken there.

The hotel/room is straight out of the 70's or 80's. The noise and horn from the nearby train is constant throughout the night and make sleep nearly impossible. To add insult to injury, the hot water pipes busted during our stay and there was no hot water in the whole building, so no one could take a shower. It was just a very uncomfortable stay. It is outdated and in need of a remodel. Our room has patched and peeling wall paper and a very soft lumpy bed. We had a nice stay at the Hilton in Eugene while dropping our daughter off at the University of Oregon. After settling her into her dorm, we went to the hotel, who had provided a digital key through the Hilton app. Very nice not to have to go to the front desk to get into our room. We were confused about the ear plugs on the bedside table, but soon heard the train whistles. The train was not too loud throughout the night, but still a little bit irritating. I imagine that any hotel near this... Read more

Staff is exceptional. Hotel is located near restaurants and bars. It is within walking distance to performing arts, library, parks and running trails. Resturant is expensive and food is average. Lobby and rooms need to be updated. I would stay in this hotel again because of its location.

Headed to Eugene recently for a business trip with a few add-on days for sightseeing. Really enjoyed the views from the 9th floor. The hotel is otherwise exactly what I'd expect from a Hilton, clean, comfortable and very nice. You can tell that it is an older property, but it's very well kept up. Really enjoyed staying here. The only other thing worth noting is that it's close to the train tracks, which didn't bother me as we live near tracks, but it could be bothersome to some.

Have stayed here a number of times over the years. The building is a little old, but is nicely maintained and as up-to-date as possible. Very nice bathroom, bed, furniture, coffee maker, health club, etc. Great location next to the 6th street restaurant district and the downtown. Close enough to the University. You can rent bikes nearby, and there are many bike paths next to the river. Underground parking at the hotel, but I don't think they charge. Great health club. The north side (towards 6t... Read more

I am a true road warrior when it comes to travel for work. I honestly was amazed by the quality of outstanding service I received during my stay at the Hilton Eugene. Despite being completely full capacity-wise, it was evident that the customer experience is their primary concern. The front desk staff last night quickly answered a series of complex questions I had pertaining to the conference taking place here, as I was am exhibitor. We had a nice stay for a conference, however our room was to be a non-smoking room and it smelled very much like a smoking room. The food was excellent, I only wished more protein items had been offered.

I stayed here for a couple nights. The location is very convenient to downtown, restaurants and bars. Not too far from U of O campus and Autzen Stadium. Amtrak is nearby should you arrive by train. There are nearby trails along the river. The staff was wonderful. The room was clean and roomy. Room service was prompt. I have no complaints about this place. Everything was pleasant. There is on sight parking and plenty of it too. Will be staying here again for sure.

I would recommend this facility to anyone who visits Eugene, Oregon. Extremely friendly and helpful staff to answer any and all questions in a very professional and timely manner.

The stay at this Hilton was very good. The desk personnel were friendly. There is a charge for parking, but there is no convenient parking in the close vicinity. The property is located just a couple of blocks from the 5th street market. We felt safe walking to/from the hotel at night. I would stay here again, ask for a upper floor room with a view!

I have been to the Eugene Hilton a couple of times now and it is a good hotel for the price. Still the look and feel is very old and the rooms need an urgent overhaul as this might become a branding issue for Hilton if not. Also if you stay at the side of where the conference centres are than you will have a lot of noise from the airco vents on the roof (actually the higher levels will give you more noise). On the other hand in case you stay at the side of the main entrance than you might be wok... Read more

Very nice and well kept hotel. Clean, secure, excellent staff at all positions. Great smaller lobby bar, best breakfast buffet/brunch in town. Go for that even if not staying there. If you stay, insure you aren't on the side of the hotel facing the train tracks. They provide ear plugs. Ear plugs...plugs help a lite but not enough if you want to sleep at night.

Stayed here the weekend of Sept 10 for the Oregon-Virginia game. Hotel was extremely convenient. We were able to walk to many hotels and breweries. We even walked back to the hotel from the game, although this was quite a long walk. Transportation options would have been a bonus. The rooms were comfortable and the hotel bar was social. We met many nice people and felt welcomed and safe. Only downside: they didn't service our room the second day, which was disappointing. Would stay again/recommen... Read more

Okay, so I have to say the rooms are nicely done, of average size, with all the usual amenities, and if you're looking for basic mid-range accommodation, the Hilton initially fills the bill. If you get 11th floor buffet and evening snack privileges, that bumps it up another notch. Staff are very well trained and friendly, and a definite bonus. But....oh, but.* *Don't stay here is you're a light sleeper. Even asking for the side of the hotel away from the train tracks, you hear the trains...... Read more

Overall, the Eugene Hilton is a small, clean, decent hotel that offers great service. The on-site restaurant was ok to good (3 out of 5) given the cost was high for the value you received. Bar area was open, fun, and provided an area to plug-in in necessary. Wait staff were friendly and responsive. 2-Queen Room was good to great for the $124 price with a 50-inch screen, refrigerator, and full bathroom amenities. The hotel is centrally located in Eugene and within walking distance of Smith's Family Bookstore and the Marketplace. The room was facing the main street which is a main thoroughfare day and night and the traffic noise through the windows was very loud. You could hear people shouting, cars, etc. There is a lot of transient traffic in this area at night. For the price I would not stay here again.
