My son and I were going to an early morning orientation on Saturday, 8:30-12:30 so we decided to come on Friday and stay through Sunday. Not knowing where to stay I looked at distance to the site we needed to be at on Saturday and looked at hotels in the area, I randomly picked the Hampton inn and after talking to the front desk I felt confidant in my decision. Once we arrived it was everything and more than what I expected. The staff was outstanding, the location perfect with nearby shops & res... Read more

Was really looking forward to a nice restful visit to this Hampton Inn. The location is great, walking distance to many restaurants, shops, etc. However, when we were there it was cold and very windy so walking wasn't so pleasant. I reserved a first floor/quiet room, however, upon checking in, I asked if I could have a third floor/quiet room. We were given a room that faced the back of the property, the parking lot. We did get a king room, but it was the smallest room I have ever seen. T... Read more

This Hampton Inn is about what you'd expect. It has a great location if you're visiting for a concert at the amphitheater, shop at the Old Mill mall, or want to walk along the Deschutes river. The rooms are well appointed and the beds comfortable. What's more, the included breakfast is more than adequate. Yet, there's nothing particularly special about this hotel and it certainly was not cheap on the Monday evening we stayed there. The air conditioner was *very* noisy during the night and we had... The Hampton Inn has a modern look. It's conveniently located within walking distance to the Old Mill shopping area, the river, and the bike path. Our room was a suite, but the very modern décor made it seem stark; nothing cozy about it. The bed was comfortable, but the room had a hard and uncomfortable couch. The rate per night with taxes, etc., was a total of $270 which is very steep for the amenities this hotel lacks. The hotel does not have guest outdoor space with a place to lounge in ... Read more

I have mixed feelings about this property. It??s funny how the human factor can affect your experience. When I checked in, the young man at the front desk was curtly informed that there were only 1st floor rooms, facing away from the Deschutes River. No other options. We spent only one night unfortunately. It's walking distance to the river. It's also walking distance where you can rent the tubes to go down the river. We spent three night in Bend at the Hampton Inn. It is in a great location -- a very short walk across a footbridge leads to the Old Mill shops and restaurants. The hotel is ivery clean and quiet. The check in lady (whose name I have sadly forgotten) was very friendly and helpful and seemed to possess a limitless amount of local knowledge! We loved this Hampton and would definitely stay here again. Staff were great, all areas were very well appointed and clean. Breakfast was standard fare for a Hampton. The area the hotel is in had a lot to offer with the Riverpark area being within walking distance, some restaurants also within walking distance. Beautiful landscaping. Front desk staff was very accommodating when I requested to be near the laundry.

The Location is great and centralized. The property is on a walking path and across from the Old Mill mall district where there are restaurants and shops. It's close to downtown. But the service was lackluster and the beds soft. A call before our arrival to see about an early check-in was met with resistance and a snobby attitude by the front desk manager that the hotel was always busy and couldn't guarantee, which I could understand. But a simple, "I will see what we can do" right at the sta... Read more

I've stayed at many Hampton Inn & Suites and have found them all to be very clean, well-appointed, centrally located with friendly staff. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet. I love having the delicious breakfasts in the hotel. The free tea and coffee in the lobby are nice touches as well. The value you get for the price can't be beat.

When we reserved our room, we did not know what a great location the hotel had. The hotel is in the Old Mill District which is just a beautiful area. The river and park with nice walking paths are next to the hotel. We had a nice relaxing stroll along the river and had a good meal at a restaurant within walking distance. Highly recommend this hotel.

Facilities and location fabulous. Close to upscale restaurants and out door dining. Watching the sunsets from the patio at Anthony's and then a short walk to our room was incredible. The staff were by far the most approachable and caring and as a routine traveler this is not always the case. Whenever I'm in Bend, if there is room at this location it will be my preferred choice.

This was a great hotel with nice staff and yummy breakfast. The area it's in is so fun. Just steps from shopping, dining, music, trails. The bathroom shower was big, the bed was comfortable, housekeeping ladies were nice, I enjoyed my stay! Bend is so unique, this was my first visit, and I loved the whole town!

This is a very nice hotel. The rooms are excellent - clean and roomy. Beds are ok, pillow are a bit too fluffy for me - but I piled them up and got what I needed. AC worked well. I did not eat breakfast there, but it looked like there was plenty of room to sit and eat. There are some noise issues. There is an outside fire pit, where kids, teenagers and parents sit until late hours - this creates noise issues especially when it is just kids and teenagers. There are sometimes shows fro... We love the Mill District, and were very pleased with our stay at the Hampton. The beds were a little too soft for my husband, but he'd sleep on a board, if he could. The pool was nice for our daughter's soccer team to hang out in, and the hot breakfast in the morning was also great. Our room had a tub/shower combo, which was awesome because we love taking baths at night. The only complaint we have was the noise at night. While on the one hand the location to the Old Mill is outstanding it is also very close to an outdoor amphitheater. Don't know how the noise would affect your stay. Also this location seems to cater to Diamond members which they claim come in large numbers and the hotel has about 5 or 6 prime reserved spots for them (don't know what that says to the rest of us). The place is clean and the staff friendly. The bed is a bit too firm for me but i did like the layout of the room. The breakfast w... Read more

A nice, clean, modern hotel let down by their free breakfast. We stayed for two nights and on both mornings were unable to have breakfast as everything was empty. We were told it would take ten minutes to restock but decided not to wait. I stay in Hampton Inns around seven days a month and have never experienced a worse kitchen.

We had a ground floor room with perfect access! The hotel itself is ideally located for access to great restaurants, shopping and exiting Bend on Hwy 20 or Hwy 97. It was VERY quiet, the bed was comfortable, and the room/bathroom were clean. If I have any negative comment, it would be the heavy duvet/comforter on the bed which is the only cover other than the sheet. I would personally prefer a better choice in covers, but it's not a really big deal.
