I was spending the weekend in Bend to babysit my granddaughter who is under 1 years old. I came up a day earlier than the reservations and was put into a room that was an upgrade and asked if I could stay in the room for the 3 nights. Lisa helped us at the front and rearranged everything so that I would not have to move the second night into the original reservation. I was so grateful for her help as I had arrived later in the day after spending 5 hours traveling to get there and was sick with ... Read more

This is a beautiful place and a wonderful hotel. The free drinks at night and free breakfast buffet in the morning were great. Didn't get to use the pool or sauna, but there were others enjoying it. We had a great view out of our back door to a creek and vegetation along with 2 families of geese walking through the grass between buildings. Nice rooms and wifi. Would definitely stay here again.

We live in Bend, but needed a couple of nights to stay locally to make room for guests in our house. So we choose the Shiloh because of the reasonable rate and we could stay next to the river which was a special treat for us. The room was spacious and had a kitchenette. The bed and pillows very inviting, it was hard to get up and go to work. Some aspects of the room that need some attention are: carpets need cleaning or replacing, and bathroom very dated. Helpful front desk. Large spacious room -- the queen bed with kitchenette had couch and chairs in front of gas powered fireplace -- it was cool the days we were there so that was nice. The kitchenette had two burners, couple small pans, small fridge with little freezer compartment contained within, microwave. Shampoo, iron and ironing board provided. The more expensive king room with river view, which on the first floor was partially obscured by bushes, was actually smaller with less comfort... Read more

I stayed at the shilo in September 2015. Check-in was fairly quick and easy. Decent size room. It was very clean but I think I was in the part of the hotel that had yet to be updated (didn't look like the pictures I had seen previous), I wasn't too bothered by it, the bed was comfy, bathroom clean, that's all I needed! only downsize was there was nothing to stop people seeing in, there were curtains hanging but who wants to be in a dark room in the morning when getting ready for the day? Our stay at the Shiloh was very comfortable and reasonably priced. We stayed for 4 nights and had a great experience. We knew going in that the rooms were probably somewhat dated, but that was fine as we were more concerned with cleanliness and comfort. The included breakfast and two pools with hot tubs were a nice bonus. There is a restaurant on location as well as 2 other restaurants across the street with several clothing and department stores.

Check in area is spacious, but with only one person at the desk the wait was long. The general manager was present and he was impertinent, so perhaps he should just wait in the back office, or help people check in. The check in clerk was very helpful in getting us in ahead of the check in time, and this earned them an extra star. The room was facing the river, nice view, but small, dark and unwelcoming. Furniture was run of the mill with no art on the wall and very poor lighting. Best Western h... Read more

I'm so happy I found Shilo Inn. I needed a hotel near the convention center, and Shilo was about a quarter mile away and much more affordable than the convention center hotel. The rooms were clean, spacious -- mine had a small kitchen, which I was not expecting, stocked with a few dishes, silverware, pots, pans, etc. It also had a sofa bed in addition to the cozy queen bed. We came to the Shilo Inn for a weekend with the kids. The room was very spacious and clean. We have 2 littles and had plenty of space to put up the portable cribs and still walk around the room. The employees were very nice and helpful in the check in area and the restaurant. Free breakfast buffet was good and had a lot to offer. We also used the pools which were fun for the kids. Not the newest or fanciest place we've ever stayed but well worth the cost. No complaints from us.

This is a good hotel to stay at if you plan on doing a lot of outdoor activities in the Bend area and don't plan on staying in the room too much. This hotel is setup in a different way to the usual style in that it consists of different blocks of buildings. The block we were in did not have an elevator, and I assume this is the same for the rest, so if you have difficulty with stairs, ask for a ground-floor room. The room access is via outdoor stairs and a walkway, so if you have a room on the walkway side, you can open the window, but it will produce noise from other guests passing by. The Shilo Inn has been a mainstay for us and many others, for years. However, their facilities are just not enough, any longer. Premium pricing, for dated, dark and dirty rooms. When Motel 6 can and is updating, and charges significantly less, the Shilo Inn should be able to do so as well. We stayed for our anniversary. I communicated that, and asked for a decent room. Upon arrival, they had only one night booked for us, and in the scramble to find the reservation and a room, we ended up i... Read more

Great location. We had a room right on the river. The room has a fireplace, microwave, & refrigerator. The grounds are beautifully manicured. The staff was friendly and helpfull. Downside, The room was dirty, the carpet has stains and white socks turned brown after walking on it. You could feel all the springs in the mattress, and the cover was torn. The bed should have been replaced a long time ago. Room service forgot to leave coffee cups and drinking glasses.

Staff is very accommodating and excellent. Bed is nice and comfy. The layout of the rooms can be a little strange, but hey, its a hotel, not a house. Nice pool. The lounge is good was well. Will stay here again.

Our room was clean if a bit worn around the edges. The breakfast was just fine. Our only complaint was the lack of lighting and security at the fitness center and pool area. My husband and I quickly decided it would not be wise for me to be there alone in such a deserted area of the property.

Best bang of the buck in Bend, Oregon! Not a new hotel but very well maintained and appointed rooms. Restaurant and bar on site. Nice pools 1 outdoor & 1 indoor, 3 hot tubs, steam room and wood sauna for relaxing after driving.

Title pretty much sums it up. We were first given a room in the 600 building. That section has been updated, but our room was at the end of the building and we suffered from road noise.... And I don't mean a little noise, it sounded like we were sleeping on the road. We were then moved to a second floor in the 300 section. The room was clean, but seriously needs some renovation. I love this hotel, it has so many things going for it, but unfortunately it seems like it's a dying entity..... That ... Read more

Aside from the place needing updating, the management does not care about how the hotel is maintained. We came in after a full day to find towels thrown on her bathroom counter and bed rumpled like someone slept on it, dirty cups. When we went to complain to the management and asked if the maid was still working, they said oh no they went home a long time ago. So someone did come up and take care of the mess and told us that management doesn't care.

Room was worn out, terrible maid service. Had to ask for maid service when we got back at 8pm. Would not stay there again. Not all that friendly at front desk. Carpets were stained and dirty, and the cups weren't changed out. I was told that management doesn't care, so why should I care to stay there? Shilo needs some one who gives a sh---

We booked a mini-suite online for a very competitive rate (for Bend). Upon arriving, the front desk attendant informed me that they had us down for a double queen and not a mini-suite, despite having an email confirmation of the mini-suite reservation. After several minutes of searching, she informed me that one last mini-suite was available. The attendant informed me that I should have called to confirm the room because they frequently have mix-ups occur when people book from "dot coms." When I... Read more

Unlike other I've stayed at this place had a resort type of setting with different complexes. Rooms were spacious and clean. Our stay included a buffet breakfast which was I think could of been better. It was alittle over done and dry.

Continental breakfast, all kinds of things like pancakes, yoghurt, scrambled eggs, but at an average quality... Don't expect that much from breakfast, then it will do for you! I was greeted on the telephone and in person by Brandi. During the check-in process, she provided me with the best option for my one night. The room was clean, neat, and comfortable. I had an issue with the internet and Davindra walked me through how to hook up to the fastest connection. I want to thank these two for all of their help. I may have gone to another hotel if not for the welcome I received when I walked through the door. Great staff!!

We stayed in the remodeled river view mini suite. A very nice room. It was clean, had a fireplace, kitchenette, lots of counter space, refrigerator, and microwave. Vanity area outside of bathroom had lots of counter space as well. There were plenty of places to sit. A beautiful view of the river, in-room coffee, and the room was quiet with comfortable beds.

Our room at the Shilo Inn was very large, with a kitchenette, a sitting area, and a balcony overlooking the pool. It felt very homey and had a fireplace. The room was quiet and comfortable. The hotel is a little dated and some of the outdoor carpeting in front of the rooms was torn, but overall a nice place.

This organization traffics in deceit. When you use your credit card to make a reservation, the Shilo website will indicate a "total" amount that will be charged to your card on the day of your reservation. This "total" amount is a lie because taxes will be added to the "total" amount. Come on Shilo, don't insult your customers with this naked capitalist deception. Is it too much to ask that the "total" amount a customer's card will be charged is indicated accurately on your website when guests p... Read more

I came here during the summer and stayed two nights. The location is quite decent as it's in a very accessible location in Bend. The grounds are also quite nice - as there are plenty of trees, plenty of parking, and seemingly well maintained. The hotel unfortunately has that 1980s feel in terms of the architecture of the rooms. Yes, the rooms are large (I wonder why the living area is so large), but the furnishings seemed to be quite old. The furniture is old, the bedspreads are old, the cl... Read more

We loved the pool and breakfast, but our room was dirty...needed vacuuming inside the room and in the hallway, shower not scrubbed up high. The Queen Sleeper Sofa Kitchen Suites need updating by a few decades and bigger TV. Internet was not working during our stay either, but we weren't offered a discount. Grounds look very nice and well maintained.

Brandy, front desk clerk for both our check-in and departure was wonderful to work with. A cheerful smile and I found out she had been named after the famous song Brandy by LookingGlass. We had a condo type room on the ground floor that we requested which had a back porch/sliding glass door overlooking the Deschutes River. Great location, restaurants within walking distance. Overall an extremely pleasant stay, and better value for the money than any other Shilo Inn I've ever stayed in.
