The first thing that bothered me was that I was unable to pay cash up front for the room. I was required to have a credit card to rent the room. I ended up paying cash the next morning but there was a hold put on my card that still hasn't been released 3 days later. Also we had 4 people staying in the room and I had to go get extra towels and they told me they were booked up and didn't seem to have any extras available for us so we had to share towels and washcloths.

I stayed at Country Inn and Suites in Springfield IL and was. Very impressed with everything from start to finish so I had high hopes for another hotel in the same chain. I have to say it was rather disappointing. Upon arrival there was on-one at the check-in desk and no bell or anything so I just had to wait. When a member of staff did come there was no apology for keeping me waiting. The room was OK. Most aspects of he room were clean but the carpet could benefit from a clean and the bath h... Read more

we were in Oklahoma City for our granddaughters graduation and needed a place to stay... our son recommended the Country because it was cheap and close to the events we we're going to be involved in. Enjoyed a good quite night of rest and a good breakfast to start our day. Look forward to spending the night there again if the occasion arises

We stayed overnight and didn't have any problems. The rooms were an adequate size and clean. The guy at the front desk seemed to be overwhelmed or was having a bad day as he wasn't very friendly when I tried to check in early after requesting early check-in when I booked the hotel. Breakfast was really good tho! We'd stay here again?????╝

We brought our toddler who was eager to swim. When we got to the pool, we were underwhelmed. It is really small. And because of the construction of a new hotel not 15 feet from their pool, it had construction debris floating in it. Lots of tiny, white styrofoam pellets everywhere. And on a hot June afternoon, it was actually a bit cold. Our room was adequate, clean and comfy bed. The blackout curtains don't work well, daylight poured in at 6:30 AM. Clean bathroom. One of the 'perks' from Country Inn... the warm cookies. upon arrival to the hotel you are greeting with a sign - no cookies as we are waiting for a new microwave oven. Not sure what kind of cookies are 'baked' in a microwave, and would have never imagined these were microwave cookies.... but there is a Walmart < 1 mile from the hotel... and they were 'waiting' for a microwave? This visit was just as the last ones however we had a few unwanted guests that decided to make a meal out of us. We woke to the itching irritation of bed bug bites. Once altering the staff they relocated us to another room. It did take until the following day to obtain compensations. We stayed in the studio king with a pull out sofa for the kids and had plenty of room for the 4 of us. The stay started off with a power outage. While there were some lights on, there was nothing in the stairwells...on a hotel with 10 floors. They had to string Christmas lights, and the management seemed honestly unconcerned. Between that and the dirty sheets on the sofa bed, there was a plain lack of attention to detail. And that's disappointing, because this could be a really nice hotel. Room was great for the price, and bathroom was nice too. Probably not coming back.

This hotel is oddly vertical. There are many floors, but each floor is pretty small. Our two-night experience was good. Air conditioning worked very well. Fresh cookies are a wonderful treat. There's plenty of parking. I was disappointed in the mold around the bathtub. A little bleach would fix it. The problem is--why do they allow mold around the tub caulk? Fix it. I was somewhat disappointed in this hotel after reading all of the good reviews. It is not terrible by any means, but it isn't what I would call a "nice" hotel. I don't know the city at all, but I didn't get a good vibe from the location. The hotel has made some cosmetic updates, but is clearly an older hotel. I like the premium bedding, but the rest of the room seemed old (carpet, furniture, bathroom) and my door lock was broken. Not somewhere I would stay again.
