This is a great place to stay. We made reservations before we left on our trip for our return trip back to Houston from St. Louis. We always stay here on our return trips. Lots of good food in walking distance. Very comfortable and great breakfast. Staff is exceptional!!!

On a long road trip from Texas, this was the perfect stop. We arrived late, without reservations and chose the hotel from TripAdvisor reviews. The hotel was very clean, the beds super comfortable and the staff friendly and welcoming. I wish all my hotel experiences were this good! An excellent free breakfast got us on our way the next morning.

This is one of the best HIE hotels I have stayed in. Bed and shower were excellent as is usual in a HIE, but this room was better appointed than usual. The overall hotel was very clean and well taken care of. Breakfast was very good with a wide selection. The lady that checked us in, Brandi, was quite friendly and helpful.

This hotel sits back off the highway...reducing highway noise. Lots of good restaurants nearby....bot fast food and sit down dining. friendly staff....great room ...great breakfast. Ample parking. I had a room with a living area, small table and chairs and a full closet. very nice !

The suite gave us plenty of room for the kids to play! They were able to enjoy themselves and not feel so cooped up! I on the other hand loved the king bedroom off the living area! It was nice having our own room. The check in was a breeze and the lady was extremely friendly and helpful. All the staff was extremely helpful and friendly minus one lady at breakfast Sunday morning. She wasn't eager about restocking items that were out and when asked a couple times where a high chair was she info... Read more

Lobby was very nice and clean. Rooms were also nice and clean. There was a small fridge, coffee maker and microwave in the room. Beds were comfortable with choices of firm or soft pillows. Only downside was the water in the pool was cold. We just went, so was not hot enough, yet, to swim in the pool. Breakfast was best I have seen for a complimentary type meal. We had cheese omelettes one day, scrambled the next. Fresh cooked bacon, sausage, cinnamon rolls, cereal, juices, milk, fresh fr... Read more

Room is clean and has plenty of amenities. The doors don't dampen the hallway noise very well though. Free breakfast, not bad. Several restaurants and shops within walking distance. You have to go out and around the building to get to the pool/hot tub area which could use a little more TLC, especially the bathroom. Staff has been very helpful and pleasant.

We stayed at this hotel twice on our road trip (going and coming home). I traveled with 2 kids and my parents. We stayed in a room that had 2 queens with a king in a seperate room. They shared a bath and were seperated by a door. The king room had a loarge walk in closet. It was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.

We arrived for out stay for the Jr Sunbelt for team Arizona. The room was very clean and spacious. We use Holiday in on most travel as my husband uses them for all his out of town work and never has a difficulty. we are priority club members and suggest this is the way you go its fast check in and many other little nice perks.

Having stayed in two other Holiday Inn Expresses, Sheraton, and a DoubleTree in the last month, I can say with confidence that the Wi-Fi here is the worst of all of them. In fact, it seems to be non-existent, even after calling the desk, where they said they would restart it.

Average stay. Room wasn't serviced on multiple days and found out they had a staffing problem. Breakfast was good and well stocked. Front desk staff were very nice. Beds were comfy. Would stay here again but I would suggest that the housekeeping staff take their smoke breaks away from the hotel entrance.

This is a typical Holiday Inn hotel, which is good. There are a few things that could use maintenance to improve the appearance, and the 3rd floor ice machine was broken during our stay. The room was good. Clean room, comfortable beds and good HVAC. Breakfast was good with typical Holiday Inn fare. I would stay here again.

Got this room for ridiculously low price on Priceline name your own price. Clean, huge rooms with separate sitting area, very quiet and friendly staff. Only negatives were some weird looking dark stains in carpet and the parking spaces are very narrow. Good chance of getting door dings. Parking is limited when hotel is full.

Nice woodwork in lobby area. Nice room with couch by sink, microwave and mini-fridge. Large bathroom. Solid construction. Clean, quiet and comfortable. Modern. I can't speak to value because company paid and I don't know the cost, or to breakfast because we left for work before breakfast hours.

This is a beautiful hotel with excellent, helpful staff. Would stay here again but not with a handicapped person. The bathroom is excellent but the beds are so tall you need a step ladder. Hard to push wheelchair or walker on this kind of carpet. Mgmt looking into changes but check room first.

This hotel is by far tops in Mcalester. I thoroughly read reviews prior to booking any stay, and I'm glad that this one has a high rating. I stayed overnight to visit my son at college in nearby Wilburton, and I will continue to stay here each time as long as he is in school there. The facility is beautiful, the pool and hot tub are great and very pretty, toiletries are top line, the breakfast was plentiful up until closing time and very good for a hotel free breakfast, the beds and pillows are ... We got this room at a good rate. It is located right off a major rode/hwy. Various restaurants are located just steps for the hotel parking lot. The room had everything we needed, a microwave, refrigerator and a separate kitchenette sink. We enjoyed the small outdoor pool area. They provided guests with a grill for cooking out. They provided a decent hot breakfast. The only draw back was the staff. We had to wait on the front desk clerk several times. Housekeeping was knocking on door 3 hour... Read more

This is a great, new hotel. It is right off the highway. The room's were very nicely decorated and included a refrigerator, a microwave and a coffee maker. The Breakfast buffet was great. Pretty typical Holiday Inn Express choices but we love it. Would definitely stay here again.

Just one night, but it was a very comfortable night indeed at McAlester. The room was spacious and well-equipped. Everything worked. The aspect from the window was leafy and green. There are good restaurants nearby, including a Braum's for the most stunning icecream. Breakfast is good. I was sad the outdoor pool was already closed for the winter since it was hot when we stayed.

HI Express hotels are usually very nice and have great cinnamon rolls at breakfast. The price of this one was very reasonable. The only complaint we had is that the internet was useless. We couldn't get any of our devices to connect to it for very long. That's important to us. Otherwise, a good hotel.

We arrived late and just stayed there just one night. The room was spacious, clean, and the beds were comfortable. A large bathrom with an great shower topped it off. We will definately stay here again. This is centrally located so all the restaurants are close by and there are some fine places nearby to eat.

The hotel was clean. The breakfast items could have been better. The rate for the room was a little high I think considering the area it is at. I would rather drive a little farther to stay in a bigger town with better amenities.

We arrived a little past 2pm, our room was ready and the front desk was very pleasant and accommodating. The first sign of problems was the door to our room, which the card key gave us a green light, but the handle did not engage until we tried it 6 times. I mentioned it on our checking out the next day and the comment was "oh, we know about that the wrong door mechanism was installed, but we are swapping them out." The hotel appears to have new carpet and paint, but the furniture in the room wa... Read more
