Great stay, great rates, and John Wehringer was a super friendly and knowledgable staff member. I've stayed here several times over the years and it's been great every time. It's centrally located to many restaurants and the interstates but is secluded enough.

My second stay here and couldn't be happier! The rooms are comfortable and roomy but what makes this hotel stand out is the incredible staff. At the head of that list is John who is not only professional but makes you feel like a friend and a VIP all at the same time. The hotel is in a great location that is convenient to the best parts of Boardman or I-680, but far enough away from constant traffic. If you need a place to stay at a very reasonable price, look no further.

I have a certain expectation of RRI hotels especially corporate run Inns. While I have had some scetchy stays at franchised locations the RRI in Boardman was a pleasure. The room was up to the standards I expect from my favorite bang for the buck lodging provider. The only small gripe was that I actually prefer the newer laminate/wood flooring in the renovated rooms because I can see that they are clean and this location is carpeted. "Ummm, where's the font desk staff," is the thought that crossed my mind on more than one occasion upon leaving and returning. The cleanliness of the bathroom, bed linens, and carpet were questionable. Cigarette burns in the sofa. I wasn't touching the fridge. Dirty glass doors and windows. It okay if you're in a pinch, but I never plan to book here again.

I came into Youngstown for a wedding. The Red Roof Inn was a clean, pleasant place to stay. Even better, I was welcomed by John Wehringer, who promptly cut my bill and upgraded my room as soon as I arrived. Excellent customer service. Thanks John!

I was in the area for a dog show, we LOVE Red Roof. John Wehringer offered a lesser rate than what I had received with a discount code. Great sized, clean king room, the microwave & frig are always a plus, Did I mention how much dog show people appreciate the Red Roof, we think they are Awesome!!! I needed a room last minute. I got a double room for about $90 after taxes. I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the room. Wifi worked well. Cable channels were limited but I didn't watch much TV anyway. The bed was comfortable overall, but the pillows weren't. I'd stay again if I needed to.

Unexpectedly needed a room in Youngstown and walked into the the Boardman Red Roof Inn unannounced late in the evening. John Wehringer turned an unhappy situation into an easy evening. He provided me with a lovely suite at a great price, drinking water and a great recommendation for dinner at a local, non chain restaurant. Easy, comfortable place in Boardman. Red Roof Rocks! Manager John Wehringer is awesome. I do business in Youngstown and I come in to town once a month, Red Roof Inn is the only hotel I will stay in. Red Roof Inn found a real gem with John Wehringer. He is an awesome individual that made check in painless and seamless.. I've traveled for a long time to many hotels and out of all of them.. I believe John has just become the best check in experience of my career! I usually go to ihg or choice privilege properties.. but because of him. . Reserved 8 rooms for July 19-20 for a retired mens group golf outing. Upon arrival were met by John Wehringer at front desk. NEVER had I had a more helpful hotel desk clerk. Made check in a breeze. I stayed here with my husband for one night. The hotel desk staff gave us this room for a very cheap price. Our hotel room was very spacious and clean. Also, there are many restaurants within walking distance. One negative I found was the toilet knob kept getting stuck. Also, the hotel front desk staff had no one standing there when I walked in. Beyond the only two negatives, I would recommend this hotel.

Average. Clean room. Wouldn't bring Mom or girlfriend due to condition of stairs, hall, sink, and tub. In room refer, but no coffee maker. Good enough for the seasoned traveler to get a good night's sleep. Easy, friendly check in and good restaurants within walking distance.

Dog friendly, has elevator (just one though) nice rubber flooring in stairwells. They even set out poop barrels this year when a big dog show was in the area. I've stayed here for years, it's essential to book early (2 months at least) to get a room for Canfield weekend.

For the price the hotel was clean and comfortable. Wifi worked well, which rarely happens at hotels. We were there for a wrestling tournament and I would definitely stay there again. Plenty of restaurants nearby.

John Wehringer has gone above and beyond to accommodate and assist my family. He offered his knowledge of the area, which was so helpful to my husband and I in reaching a crucial decision. He was far more willing to help with bedding and enough towels to get my kids settled and situated than any other hotel we stayed with this week. This is our 4th and I regret not starting our trip off here.

Stopped here on my way from Chicago to DC. This is a nicer 4 story Red Roof Inn. The location off the turnpike was easy to get to. Just called hotel on route and they were able to find me a room. And of course they are pet friendly, which my dog and wallet appreciate.

Our primary reason for staying at Red Roof Inns is the universal pet friendly policy. They are also very consistent in what they deliver for value paid. The inn was also very centrally located to restaurants and shopping because when you are going to a dog show, you always forget something.

I am not sure why there are so many good reviews of this hotel. This is one of those places that rent long term to people as I saw many hanging around in the filthy lobby. Got our keys and went to our room and about fell over from the smell of mold and mildew. My wife and I were in a hurry to get to the wedding we were going to so we made the best of it. I stay here at the Boardman, Ohio Red Roof weekly for work. It's tough being out of town but the customer service at Red Roof always makes you feel welcome. Before we even arrived we checked the reviews that were 4.5 stars at the time. Honestly I had never been to a red roof Inn, but John Wehringer the front counter guy really went all out to make sure we felt welcome. Very warm personality, he set us up in a room at a great price. Beds are great firm but soft, not those super pillow ones that make you regret it. Anyways definitely recommend at least trying this red roof Inn haven't been to any others to rate them.

This was our third stay here on our travels from our home in Breckenridge to our home in NJ. We chose this since they allowed us to bring our 4 cats even though it took us off our route home. I've been here many times, and each and every time I receive excellent service by the front desk worker, John W. He goes above and beyond what is expected. He always greets you with a smile and asks how your day is. John also knows the ins and outs of traveling and helped me book a flight for my next vacation. My friend and I stayed here one night. We had a room with two double beds. We were very happy with the room's amenities...microwave and refrigerator. The TV was very modern and large. There was no coffee maker in the room, but they do have coffee available in the lobby. Very nice place to stay for the price. Everything is newly remodeled and clean. The staff was excellent. It was very quiet. Housekeeping was not making a lot of noise early in the morning. We stayed in what they call a smaller room on the fourth floor but it seem to be a regular size room. For about $70 it came with a fridge and microwave. We would definitely stay there again.

Second visit to this location. I stayed for several days. The room was clean upon entering and it was serviced each day. The hotel smelled pleasant as I entered the lobby and had a clean appearance. Recently I stayed here on the 3rd floor with my friend, house keeping here is terrible. microwave smelled fridge was molded. floors dirty. laundry room filthy. paper in the corners.down stair restroom nasty beyond nasty. This is a great place to bed down for the night on our annual road trip. We have stayed at all Red Roof Inns in our travels through NY and Ohio. I stayed here while Traveling through Ohio and Pennsylvania. I usually always stay at the Red Roof Inns during my travels. This location was more then excellent! I‚??m a touring musician and stay in hotels about 200 nights a year.. When Red Roof Inn Boardman is anywhere near my route I make sure to stay there. The location is great, many good restaurants in the area. John the night manager s great , gives you the water with out you asking for it. Everything was clean and working, the only thing that could be added to the room would be added is a another mirror.

We've been staying at the Red Roof for awhile now and I just have to say how great this place is! Very clean, very friendly and they are amazing about pets staying here. John Wehringer has been great to us and our dog! If you plan to come to this area I definitely recommend staying at the Red Roof Inn!

I've been staying herefor a while and enjoy this hotel.The thing that keeps me coming back here is the awesome service that I always receive from john.he's been the most courteous host and always makes sure everything is perfect.the room has been clean and lots of restaurants near by.I will highly recommend this hotel and hope you can meetjohn.

Good room service. Friendly receptionists. The hotel is nice and quite, it has an elevator, and washing machine available on 4th floor. The hotel has only has coffee and tea in the morning. Locate in a convenience location.

We stayed here several nights and were very well taken care of. Robin and Alexia made sure we had everything we needed and kept our room nice and clean and comfortable. Very friendly staff and a nice, quiet, comfortable hotel.

We got great deals. The WiFi was not bad at all. The bathroom was good. The toilet flushed a little weird in 102. Robin and Alexia were very helpful. The beds were comfortable to sleep in. It is overall a great place to stay.

Robin and Alexia were great! We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and I would come back any time! I not only felt comfortable but also very welcomed by all the staff and workers there at the hotel. Did I mention that I enjoyed my time there? :)

Budget Priced Red Roof Inn with Sufficient Amenities . Beginning to Show Age but room had Fridge / Micro / Desk ./ Small Table / and Flat Screen T.V. A Good Value for Price Paid ! " No Breakfast at this Location ". But As Always Dogs Stay Free.

Spotless, great beds, convenient, cheap. What more do you want? Lot's of restaurants around and only 1 minute off the interstate. I don't know why most people would come to Youngstown, but if you do, this is the place to stay.

The staff here is good but the room are filthy. the house keepers lazy. my refrigerator was dirty so was my microwave....floor need cleaning smelled bad. dust everywhere have not been properly cleaned months. clerks friendly though.house keepers talking smoking. no janitor or people to fix broke things on the weekend. toilet kept stopping up. mold in bathroom. bathtub rusted.

I really enjoyed staying there. The staff was wonderful ....especially Robin and Alexis. They were very nice, caring, and got us everything we needed happily. Also a man named John (I think) helped us...he was also very kind.

I read so many good reviews on here that I decided to book a night for my drive from Wisconsin to Virginia. Granted it was cheap, and I got in late and headed out early, so I really didn't care that much how great the hotel was, but it certainly didn't live up to the expectations one gets from the reviews here on Tripadvisor. Stayed in room 220... patched hole on the bathroom door, mold on the ceiling in the bathroom and bedroom, 4 ft crack in the bathroom wall with sharp edges !! The bed was not comfortable woke up really sore ... don't know how this hotel got 4.5 stars I was so not impressed !!
